  2. QUOTE(Tadahito Iguchi @ Jul 26, 2005 -> 10:23 AM) Does anyone think there is a chance that the Sox make two big trades??? And what will those two trades be? Never know with Kenny, but I only see one big trade.
  3. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 08:53 PM) Sorry Fellas, I don't have the heart to make it past page 33. Any updates since noonish? Not really. I only have 12 pages. If you have a good connection, you should be like me and change to 75 posts per page. Makes reading threads like this much easier, you can just breeze through and look for the news.
  4. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jul 25, 2005 -> 07:24 PM) Fathom won't be on tonight. haha.
  5. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 24, 2005 -> 10:49 PM) Well, most recent Phil Rogers column says it would be Contreras, Marte, and McCarthy for AJB. This would be a brutal, brutal trade for the Sox. Please say no KW! Nobody knows what the hell is going on, it's a different package every time I look. Wait and see what shakes down.

  13. QUOTE(Cubs Suck23 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 07:20 AM) Several newspapers has the Orioles favorite to get AJ while a few has the RedSox as the favs so I dont know what to believe Like I said yesterday, all these papers takes reports and rumors from each other and report it as fact. Believe whatever you want till a trade actually happens.

    QUOTE(Texsox @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 06:43 AM) You are what you eat I was waiting for a ruling on that, I'm not sure if anything with the word Arby's can be used as a cliche.
  19. Pfft. Kip Wells got lit up by the Cubs. I would not like to see him return.
  20. QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Jul 18, 2005 -> 01:05 AM) OMG these were the best ice cream things of all time. I would run to the ice cream man for these every time. They came with a wresler's baseball card too. I've talked with people about these before and no one knew what i was talking about. cheat, i love you. They still make them. There a website out there, where it will tell you the closet place to by them. IIRC the site would tell you where you can buy like boxes of it. Nothing was even remotely close to me though, Mostly out east.
  21. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 10:44 PM) I was told that he had more zip than usual and had better command. Command has been the big thing thats bothering him, but from all intents and purposes, the big thing is he's supposedly 100%. Well, we shall see tomorrow night. If he is finally healthy and can not go 3-2 on everyone, I want him starting the first playoff road game.
  22. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 10:41 PM) Hell like I said, I actually have a sneaking suspicion that Duque is going to come out and pitch pretty well from here on out (don't ask me why either, but I heard some good things about his outing down in Charlotte). What kind of stuff did you hear?

    QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 10:21 PM) We're a little different in Iowa. I think that goes without saying.
  24. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 17, 2005 -> 10:19 PM) Well if the marlins guy is right he says the Sox will be signing him to an extension for it to happen. I just don't like the idea of giving up Contreras. I do think Burnett is slightly better than Jose, but some of you have brought up some good points, mainly the fact that Contreras hasn't had heatlh issues. If its Contreras, Bmac, Anderson, and a prospect for AJB, Lowell, and Mota than I'd probably do it. Burnett's a little better, Lowell could do a lot (although I still am puzzled at this, cause frankly Sox don't need him), and well Mota would give the Sox one more very good reliever. I still would absolutely prefer to keep Contreras and move Duque if the Sox are that dead set on another pitcher. I must say though, I do think Burnett will benefit from having AJP behind the plate. I don't believe this particular rumor, but Kenny knows he can't trust Duke. He'll have something else up his sleeve.
