  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 29, 2012 -> 11:40 PM) I wasn't going to get it anyway, but if they removed traditional franchise mode, then I DEFINITELY won't get it. From what I've read, franchise mode as we know it is still there - they just called it something else. I'm still waiting on my amazon pre-order, first time I've bought the game in like 5 years.
  2. That's the loudest sox scream I've had in ages.
  3. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 20, 2012 -> 10:41 PM) Going to Louisville, KY for labor day weekend. Besides Louisville Slugger Factory any place I should visit and or eat at ? My wife and I did the Wavery Hills Sanitorium tour. Super creepy, I'd recommend it. http://therealwaverlyhills.com/
  4. QUOTE (McDude @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 10:46 AM) Buehrle a standing ovation? Nah, don't care about people who want to leave the team. yikes
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 22, 2012 -> 11:29 AM) Remember when Hawk thought Youk's granny was a routine sac fly? I think most people did, myself included. A "stretch" was warranted there.

The opening scene of this season showed him doing the bacon thing for his birthday by himself instead of with his family. There's no way the show ends well.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 20, 2012 -> 11:08 AM) I agree that it will be someone close, most likely family. But I don't see Walt ending up in prison, I think he will go out shooting. How awesome was the dinner scene last night? "Good work shopping then, these green beans are choice!" I laughed out loud like three times during the dinner scene. Jesse was like a four year old.
  9. QUOTE (lostfan @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 06:03 PM) Sorta, the Green Line goes by it. It depends on what part of the city you're coming from. But it's definitely easier to walk than it is to park because parking sucks ass by Nationals Park (kinda like Wrigley). Good to know, I think we're ditching the rental car once we get to DC b/c we're told we can walk everywhere.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 10, 2012 -> 10:33 AM) Anybody here ever driven to Ravinia? Got any parking advice? I don't mind paying for the $20 lot, but it seems like it could get full quickly and be a clusterf*** to get out of. Are the shuttles from the free lots fast or convenient? The shuttles aren't bad at all. We were back to our car within 20 minutes or so. I've heard the main lot is terrible to get out of anyways.
  11. Maybe I've grown up a little, but the whole sox-cubs thing is just annoying now. I'm not going to root for them, but I'm not watching their games/checking up on scores to see if they lose. To paint w/ a broad brush, the "CUBS SUCK" type of sox fan is usually the lowest common denominator fan there is.
  12. I really became a big sox fan in the early 2000s, it's still gotta be the Twins for me. Years and years of a good (sometimes terrible) games.
  13. Has anyone ever done the wings n rings free parking thing? Is it easy? I've never like the "free shuttle" to games b/c you're reliant on a bus to pick you up and bring you back to your vehicle. However, wings n rings is close enough where you could just walk back to your car.

That's what I get for posting at 7 in the morning.
  15. I've been playing FIFA 12 exclusively for the last 6 months and I am completely addicted. The dynasty mode is really something else once you dive into it. I sim 2 out of every 3 regular season games and play all cup/tourney games just to get through more seasons. I've learned a TON about world soccer and its format while playing the game. Just a blast.
  16. Does the title of this thread scare the crap out of anyone else? Just because they put "mild" in front of concussion doesn't mean it's definitely going to go away any time soon.

    Twitter/Facebook

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 06:54 PM) Twitter(along with soxtalk) is my main news source for everything in the history of life. Yup. Twitter has become my go to site for pretty much anything. It's a constantly updated news source that only has things/people you're interested in. I love it. Facebook......eh, may have jumped the shark a bit. It still has its purpose, but it's mostly just annoying.
  18. "Mr. Madison, what you've just said ... is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
  19. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 2, 2012 -> 03:28 AM) Griffey wouldn't accept it. Nor would any self respecting athlete. Yup. TROPHIES FOR EVERYONE, YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
  20. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 08:20 PM) also did not like progressive. just absolutely nothing special about the park. Its alot like the cell IMO Pittsburgh is absurd. everything about the park was done the right way. The upper deck behind 3rd base dugout give the best view. It was the nicest park ive been to and its not close. I've heard it's only comparable to San Fran's, which I absolutely loved. Looking forward to there the most. Thanks for the tips guys!
  21. The wife and I are going on an east coast road trip/baseball trip in a couple weeks. Got tickets to these 4 parks, I've never been to any of them. Who has? Food/Bar/Parking Recommendations?

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 30, 2012 -> 01:17 PM) First "great" episode of the BB season for me. I love that they are cooking again, and this new plan should be interesting. I have a feeling they brought up the first house having a "nanny cam" because that may come in to play later. Also, at the end, Walt was talking about Mike right? About "flying too close to the sun"? I definitely thought he was talking about Mike. Walt still thinks of this as "his" operation and doesn't like all of the liberties Mike is taking. I think the rant was meant to be a little ambiguous though.
  23. Same matchup as last Tuesday, let's hope for the same result. Pitch around Willingham this time Q.
