  1. Not the most impressive, but we looked like the team of old for a little bit in the 2nd half. At least we're back on the right track again. It was nice to see dee get hot for the first time in a long while.
  2. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 03:50 PM) Watch the NHL playoffs and the interest will carry over. I'll agree with you on that, NHL playoffs are really fun to watch because most of the games are so close.
  3. Olympic hockey is always somethin I've loved to watch and it's what the winter olympics are about for me. But for some reason, that interest just doesn't carry over into the NHL.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 15, 2006 -> 10:25 AM) Game two is sold out... I got two sets of two seats in 510 for it. i smell tailgate.
  5. got 4 tickets to game 2. not bad.
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 07:46 PM) NO doubt. You can be awesome at your job in PR, but speaking in front of large groups of people is completely different. Imagine yourself up on stage in front of a couple hundred people or so and tell me how exciting you would be? boz has the hair for it though, he'd be fine
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 03:43 PM) The pizza is good. PLus those arent the only real options Hot corn beef stand section 113. Corn off the cobb section 116. Steak Sandwich, and pita. i've had the corn beef and corn on the cob and I agree with you that they're delicous.
  8. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 03:33 PM) connies>you. c'mon. There's so many other good options that you can only get at the Cell. Why get crappy stale pizza? Brats w/ onions? Dogs w/ onions? C'mon, those really are the only real choices.
  9. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 10:40 AM) Until then, SIU always has something that Shampoo-Banana wants wow, impressive. We went tit-for-tat with the worst jokes ever.
  10. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 10:38 AM) ^^^^ With the advance ticket sales today, I now have tickets to over 30 games up there. I cant wait.
  11. QUOTE(Allsox @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 10:36 AM) There is absolutely nothing wrong with Upper Deck Box either. People may grumble about not having lower level access but I couldn't care less. The beer is just as cold and the Polish is just as good up there as it is downstairs and the bathroom lines aren't as bad. and i agree totally. The UD is not hell on earth like most think. It's actually quite nice and there's a good view of the game in every seat.
  12. QUOTE(Brian @ Feb 14, 2006 -> 08:09 AM) Duh! pffft, you guys look up to us geographically......and every other way. ...sorry, i really apologize for that one.
  13. that's the tradeoff for no more negative attendance threads
  14. That extra month of baseball sure tok the edge off of the offseason
  15. QUOTE(Pauly8509CWS @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:37 PM) I was deciding between GVSU and U of I as well, I chose U of I. I liked the feel there. It was strange cause I had a s***load of connections at GVSU, the head football coach is a family friend, and he knows everyone, but I just didnt feel like I belonged there. I also am going to try to play D2 club hockey at U of I, and their goalie is graduating supposedly cool, welcome aboard kid.
  16. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 13, 2006 -> 10:56 PM) Next time your with Krush's girlfriend you better say that. If Iowa beats Illinois at Assembly (big if) I'm gonna make sure to tell Krush that I say Iowa >>> infinity than Illinois that may have been the best bar conversation of all time by the way.
  17. I love how borch is right in the middle of everything,
  18. I miss shingo. In '04, that entrance made the entire stadium electric.
  19. I applied to 3 schools my senior year. U of I, Northern Illinois, and Purdue. I got in to all 3 of them, but only visited one. -I visited here and really knew this was where I wanted to go. -For me, a big school was a necessity because my entire life was spent in small schools up until then. -U of I had the best academic reputation of 3. -the whole "far enough away, but not too far away from home" thing -costs were relatively cheap, at least compared to out-of-state schools -one of the best schools in the country in your own state and i'd be lying if i said sports didn't play some sort of role in my decision. I wanted to be part of a big NCAA atmosphere. Bingo If you have any specific questions about U of I sf1 or anyone else, i can probably answer most of them.
  20. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 06:14 PM) Health. All that article had to be was that word. If everyone stays healthy, we go far. which is about the best any team can ever hope for to start a season. Wow, all of this positive press is just incredible. What a ride this past year and a half has been, starting with last year's offseason. Things have just been almost too positive. This season can't start soon enough.
  21. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 12, 2006 -> 01:37 PM) I agree with you 100 percent. But when we got into the position we were in heading into the Penn State game, things change. And we have simply rolled over and died the last 2 games. In other news, nice to see them f***ing with me Iowa State style. your right, the penn state game was ridiculous. But i never expected to win this game. OSU is damn good. While we haven't played well today, I don't know if a great game would have been able to beat OSU's ridiculous shooting.
