QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 10:23 PM) Bill Self would have never lost to Penn State at home. Feels good to be the one on the non negative side for once. you've been waiting to get all of this out for a long time haven't you? -

we didn't play an awful game, but it definitely wasn't anywhere near good. Props to penn state for a gutsy performance. I was expecting a loss like this somewhere along the road, just not at home..........and not to penn state. I said we would be around a 3-4 seed this season and sticking to it. Oh yeah, and krush told me to post a few obscenities for you #($*@%()@$#)(*%@f***#)(@#$$#09 -

You should never ever ever buy a baseball game, or any sports game for that matter, based on graphics. My favortie baseball game of the current generation has been high heat baseball, too bad they stopped making it. It was the funnest and most realistic baseball sim. After HH went down the tube, I moved onto MVP and they have the best baseball engine on the market by far. Yes they always have a few small flaws, but overall, it's the best baseball production IMO. Saying that, I'm loving my NCAA MVP game and will be sticking with that this year.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 4, 2006 -> 01:31 AM) Tomorrow, if anyone has three hours to waste--either from 7-10pm or 10-1am--watch "Grizzly Man" on Discovery Channel. I the topic detailed within the documentary was recently discussed on Soxtalk. It chronicles the life and death of grizzly bear enthusiast (Timony Treadwell) living amongst his cherished carnivores. Unfortunately, one day a bear decides he's either hungry or fed up with Tim's nonsense and chomps on his head, kills his girlfriend, then dismembers both their bodies. And no, we don't see or hear any of it. It goes without much debate this guy was absolutely insane. You figure that's obvious for anyone willing to spend several months every year, for thirteen years, alone with ferocious, 1,000 pound creatures. Two of my favorite parts of the movie were when an Ecologist reads an email which suggests "Bears feast on libs and dems.......More should be included around the Berkley campus," and Treadwell's enthusiasm for observing a bear's recently laid pile of crap. Honorable mention goes to the utter gayness he conveys throughout the film. "I LOVE YOU MR. BEAR!" "Look at that dying flower--IT'S...SO...SAD." "If there's a God, please rain. MOTHER BEARS ARE FORCED TO EAT THEIR CUBS!" i saw bits and pieces of it last night, holy crap that guy was absolutely nuts. When he's looking at the giant piece of poo, he touches it and whispers, "this was just inside of her, how beautiful.

Totally forgot about rocko's modern life. That was an awesome show. Honestly, nick should have a line of DVD's out for our generation, they're sitting on a gold mine.

No one mentioned "are you afraid of the dark?" yet? for shame.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 1, 2006 -> 09:57 PM) Do girls think traditional things such as flowers, cards, and candy are dull gifts, or do they still love them on valentine's day even though everyone seems to receive these things? I believe what we're "supposed to do", is do the classic stuff, but put a little personalization into it.

I remember when the simpsons was the best show on television, now I don't know one single person that watches the new episodes. Really a shame.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 10:21 PM) So Rowand is Tyson Chandler tall? the hair adds a few feet to his stature.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 10:20 PM) How about middle relief? Jenks is the closer and Politte and Cotts already took up the setup jobs. meh, you never know how those things are going to shake up at the start of the year. It's just great news to hear hermy say he's open to anything, etc.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jan 31, 2006 -> 08:48 PM) Either Rowand44 is really tall or Snb, Krush, and Addy are short....which is it? yes, all of us + dan patrick are under 4 feet tall.

defense has gotten infinitely better since augie came back. We still look a little lost on offense though.
