bought a 360 over the summer and love it to death, so no ps3 for me. I also had to buy a 2nd ps2 after my launch one died about a year into it.

The illini looked impressive last night, jamar smith was having a lights out game............until he limped off the court in the late first half (i believe). It is now being reported that he's out 4-6 weeks, with brian randle also being week to week (he also limped out, but came back shortly afterwards). Anyways, as far as yesterday's game, it was basically jamar's day, he had 20 points early on. Pruitt also looked good. Oh yeah, and brian carlwell is a f***ing beast. -
you would think that if we wanted to upgrade SS/CF, we would use our SP's to get them and not prospects. WTF did brian anderson do to piss everyone in this organization off? That's the real question.

QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Nov 10, 2006 -> 08:01 PM) Well I live in Illinois so Ill give you a different side of the story. Wisconsin was not on tv once until they were in the top 25. Once they were in the top 25 they have been on every single week. Now your second point is "ESPN wants to see talent." Then why would Wisconsin not have been on every week? They only have 1 important senior, everyone else is younger. PJ Hill is a freshman and is leading the Big 10 in rushing. Yet I dont come in here and say "because PJ hill is the leading big 10 rusher Wisconsin is on tv." Its because they are winning. Juice has the 10th most passing yards in the Big 10, he has the lowest completion percentage of any starter, he has been sacked more than any other qb. They are not putting Juice on to showcase his skills this year. You can believe what you want, but they were on because of Wisconsin and PSU. As for "WR" being an important position. It is one of the only positions in football that is basically entirely dependent on another player. Sure they will run reverses with Benn and try and get the ball in his hands but how can you say WR is more important then OL and DL? It just isnt, and no matter how many skill positions you have, if you dont have the bodies to line up in the trenches against UM and OSU, you are not going to win a Big 10 title. So will Benn improve your chances to beat teams like Indiana, Northwestern, and Purdue? But I dont think it will make a real difference against teams who have multiple 1st round players on their defenses. And that is what it takes to win the Big 10. PSU won last year because of their defense. We shall see what happens. you're failing to see that this isn't just a one player recruiting class. Zook has put together 2 good classes already (top 25 last year) and is continuing to do that. The talent level team-wide continues to grow.

if florida wins out, there is no way that they aren't playing for the championship in my book. -
QUOTE(Felix @ Nov 11, 2006 -> 03:09 PM) I'm a large Rowand fan, but really, that would be a horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE deal for the Sox. ^ aaron was my favorite player while he was here, but BA has such a huge upside. We've seen how good arow can be and most of that was on the defensive side of the ball. Brian is arguably even better than aaron in that department. I just don't understand how people can't see the future of BA and how good he's going to be.

1) completely gave that game away, we had a very solid second half and then completely forgot how to play football after halftime. Seriously, hold on to the god damn ball. 2) and good lord zook are you kidding me? Who doesn't kick the field goal there? and then to waste a timeout for it? 3) juice really needs to run to the outside more if that's what the D is going to give him. On that last drive, he had more than a few chances to run for a first down and opted to pass it instead. I understand he's a freshmen and he's going to learn from these mistakes, but still frusterating none the less. -
i'm looking forward to the jim-dwight moments more than i am the jim-pam moments.

QUOTE(Jimbo @ Nov 9, 2006 -> 04:27 PM) Its just one receiver...im playing dumb, but whats so great about one guy. 1) getting the number one rated recruit to come to a program like ours is going to be huge. 2) this will hopefully spur on some other recruits to come here.
-
this would be a huge boost for the program.

QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Nov 6, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) Isn't "Ryan" one of the other writers? Or have they all written episodes? the actor who plays ryan is one of the main writers on the show. The actress who plays kelly has done a few. The actor who plays toby is also a writer or something of the sorts.

Gotta give some respect for the effort the illini put up yesterday, that onside kick was so close to being recovered, man. -
And with him goes the 2007 Twins playoff chances.
-
i just plain don't understand what's the deal with this organization and anderson, like SS said, there's gotta be something we don't know.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Nov 1, 2006 -> 07:04 PM) Brian could be a 3 foot midget and I'd still put my money on the Rowand/Brian combo. Steve would be busy drooling over Row's hair/burns and well Krush would be too busy throwing up from such moments as Paul Konerko's grand slam "i love inside jokes, i hope to be a part of one someday" -michael scott -
