QUOTE(The Critic @ Jun 11, 2006 -> 10:15 AM) Of course, Hangar will tell you that Google only catalogues negative Sox references.... oh man

QUOTE(whitesoxin @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 10:57 PM) So I just worked for 14 hours today. At Dairy Queen. When I went in at 9 a.m. I was scheduled to work until 2...which is 5 hours. I worked 9 hours more than I was expecting to when I went in this morning. You better be getting free blizzards out the ass.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 09:05 PM) I can't remember a more hated White Sox player except maybe Royce Clayton. The guy is a decent No. 4, 5 pitcher. Why do people hate him so? There's more support for Anderson than Garland. That amazes me. i think alot of it is out of frustration. Pre 2005, we were all getting increasingly frustrated as jon never seemed to live up to his potential. Last year he came out of nowhere and dominated. Now it seems like we're right back where we started from 2 years ago.

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) All that would have fit better here... Horrible commercial. The construction worker did look like a fat brian anderson though... yes, yes it would of. But i'm the mod, so I'm leaving it,

QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 07:51 PM) I seriously hate you, the last thing I needed was an internet stream of that f***ing commercial, now I probably won't be able to help myself and I'll end up watching it a few times a day successfully burning it into my f***ing brain forever. I already try to avoid ESPN the best I can because they play the commercial constantly. at least the chick's hot
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 10, 2006 -> 06:41 PM) Have you ever heard a catchier tune? I find my self singing that song constantly. OH MY GOD i have been singing that all day, my coworkers thought i was nuts. http://media.wlup.com/AV/video/tv_spot/jb_tv_5-06.mov

Has anyone "converted" someone to being a SOX fan recently?
SnB replied to Hangar18's topic in Pale Hose Talk
i've converted a handful of non baseball fans into casual sox fans in the past year or so. I'm very influential -
QUOTE(dasox24 @ Jun 9, 2006 -> 12:31 AM) So wait, when you say "last year's NCAA rosters," do you mean it has guys like Ryan Zimmerman and Lance Broadway? yes sir

1) I'm still playing my copy of it. I'm using a set of sliders I found on operationsports.com and am having LOADS of fun. I'm at the end of my 2nd year in my KU dynasty (playing the first game of a series, coaching the rest). It really is a fun game to play, at least with the sliders I'm using. I really like the playoff system of college baseball, so many win or go home games. 2) The players have fake names, but are based on LAST YEAR'S NCAA rosters

QUOTE(LittleHurt @ Jun 8, 2006 -> 04:20 PM) Can someone tell me why my thread was deleted, but this one is ok? Im just curious, I wouldnt want to make the same mistake again. I thought your question was answered. My mistake, I'll bring it back.

Cinton goes 7-7, hitting 11 grand slams.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:47 PM) The Ryan....it depends when your going down there. If your going early (like 2 hours early, 1 and a half hours), then you'll be ok. However if your going any later than that, stay the hell away because it turns into a disaster area as gametime approaches. fair enough, whenever I got to a game, I leave AT LEAST 2.5 hours before first pitch, usually get their around or before the gates open. It's a win-win situation, beat the traffic and get to spend more time at the park

QUOTE(Rooftop Shots @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) Maybe someone else may have a better idea, but if you take the second route that you listed, forget about 94E. You could take 55N to DAMEN Ave. Getting off at Damen ave, you will go about 2-3 blocks south to 35th street. Go east on 35th for....approx 2 miles or so. You'll see parking everywhere. If you get there early enough, you can take 35th street east to Wentworth Ave, go South on Wentworth for 1 1/2 blocks until you see some black iron gates on your right hand side that lead into "Progressive Baptist Church". Park in there (Unless it's Sunday), and you'll be directly in back of Right Field. The ryan isn't THAT bad, at least when I take it to go to sox games (afternoon-4ish). It takes an extra 15 or so minutes, but not nearly as bad as I was expecting. As for the churck parking lot, you're right on my friend. I've been preaching this thing for years now. If you take the ryan to and from the park, this is far and away the best lot to get in. You're on the highway in less than a minute.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 11:17 PM) Will Nelson get a World Series ring when we win it? wow, this is the same thing that crossed through my mind when reading the title. weird

QUOTE(Hangar18 @ Jun 7, 2006 -> 03:03 PM) This is not good at all. NO wonder the guys been terrible all season. Cotts too. We are officially in trouble now with only 1 reliable bullpen person (2 if you want to count McCarthy). Not good at all (the other site would ban you at this point for "worrying" heh heh) huh? how is this bad? politte wasn't bringing ANYTHING useful

this is all we're going to hear about for months now. Awesome.
