  1. Great point. Meidroth is a good defender at 2B and can also play SS. Pretty darn important as a super sub. The Chairman of the Board isn't as good defensively to my knowledge. He doesn't get too much burn at SS, probably for a reason.
  2. Seems like a fair comparison. Being lefty with a tad more power potential is a pretty good advantage over Meidroth, if he develops.
  3. Can I get you thoughts on Antonacci? He had an impressive AFL obviously. Showed his great OBP skills. Will his lack of power really limit his potential offensively? I'm wondering how his great plate discipline will translate given his lack of XBHs and power.
  4. Everybody planning out the middle infield is forgetting one player - The Chairman of the Board (Sam Antonacci). He's an on base MACHINE. He tore up the AFL and continued with his impressive on base skills. You compare the numbers in the minors, and his statline looks awfully similar to Wade Boggs. Mark by words, Sam will be a stud. At very least he will be a strong super sub for the infield.
  5. I've been trying to get him to come up with a new nickname or even ACKNOWLEDGE his past as the undisputed king of nicknames on soxtalk. He refuses to even respond to me when I bring up his past as the defacto nicknamer. Its really a shame. He's running from who he is. I think we need to ratchet up the pressure and threaten to ban him unless he gives an honest effort at giving Roch a nickname.
  6. Will Roch command over slot or does he have no leverage?
  7. I volunteer to be the Adopt-A-Prospect father in the future sox section for Rich when we draft him.
  8. I was almost questioning whether that was Harold or not because he had zero reaction to the pick. Thought it may be the Rays rep.
  9. I'm so used to getting rat fucked on draft pick slotting as a Bulls fan.
  10. A fellow 34 year old! You and me both Bob. I really have no emotional connection to those Bulls or Jordan. Especially since he has had nothing to do with the Bulls since retiring.
  11. It's not his real opinion. Tray just takes the contrarian opinion whether he believes it or not. If the "Reinsdorf is a good owner" schtick didn't make people realize it, I don't know what will.
  12. I don't think so. I've walked Lincoln Yards. I guess it's hard to gauge when it is a vacant lot - but it doesn't feel all that big. I think you could fit the stadium, but not much more.
  13. Lincoln Yards North got bought and is being developed by a different developer. They already have a plan for it. Is Lincoln Yards South really big enough for a stadium? Feels like it would be a really tight squeeze. Not much room for parking or anything else.
  14. Yeah, and so you could rotate Korey Lee with Quero? Korey Lee hasn't exactly been a world beater in AAA this year. I agree it's crazy to move Teel off catcher for him.
