Burger hasn't played 2B yet, so no, it isn't working. They'll trade for a 2B. They won't be going into the playoffs with Burger at 2B.

Sheets is an older 1B prospect with pedestrian minor league numbers. He's done well up here in a small sample size, but there is no way he nets a "huge" return. Zero. Ziltch.

You can't run out Burger at 2B and Sheets in RF during the playoffs. That defense is so bad.

When Eloy returns, what do? Eloy at DH, Vaughn RF and Burger or Sheets on bench (maybe demoted for one of them)? They could go with Vaughn RF, Eloy LF and Sheets or Burger at DH. They also may trade Sheets or Burger. Their trade values have definitely gone up since playing in the majors. Both look great.

That's what I say. Don't bother trading for Gallo when you can platoon those two. Just isn't worth what it will take to get him IMO. Go for a 2B and relief.
