  1. Eaton has been garbage this year. He had one average month then fell off. The Sox have found good OF production from Vaughn, Goodwin, Sheets and Hamilton. Robert is obviously penciled in as the CFer, and Engel as the 4th OF. Eloy will DH I would guess. Where does that leave Eaton? I see no reason to keep him on the roster as our OFers return to the lineup. Do you think they will DFA him despite his "veteran presence" and 7 mil salary? Does he have any use in your opinion?
  2. Yes, Timmy has been horrible too. Speaking of conundrum, I wonder how the roster shakes out with Robert and Eloy returning. I'm assuming Eloy takes over at DH. You have to keep Vaughn in LF. Do we really keep Eaton's bum ass in RF? Will they just keep putting Sheets there (if he keeps hitting) and say F it to defense? Burger will go back down if I had to guess.
  3. Is there any player that didnt crush the Twin's pitching? Jose the last 14 days: .188 BA, .638 OPS (with a whopping .281 SLG) Jose the previous month: .182 BA, .572 OPS Sorry, but he's been terrible as of late. The stats are cut and dry. No way around it. You are letting your agenda get in the way of the facts.
  4. 8K in 5 IP for Mena. Great outing.
  5. This has been happening quite often lately. They just need to freaking sit him so he gets healthy. I don't give a damn how much he wants to play. He needs to get healthy.
  6. It's such a bad trade. Frazier has a BABIP of .361 this year. His career BABIP is .312. His exit velocity and Hard Hit% are pretty much in line with his career averages. SLG% .468 vs xSLG% .391, BA .326 vs xBA. 294. He's due for some regression. I don't want the Sox to overlay for this guy.
  7. This. I don't see how Eaton has a spot on this team, other than the facts that he is a veteran and makes 7m this year. There's so many better OFs on the team when healthy.
  8. This based on something you've heard, or just wishful thinking?
  9. I mean this sincerely, you are one of the best posters here. I don't know why people are going in on you so hard regarding Vaughn. Let's just celebrate his success instead of smearing it in CaliSoxFan's face.
  10. More than the Sox should give up. It just wouldn't be worth it. Probably an Eaton-esque trade, maybe even more. Sox don't have the pieces unless they clean out the farm.
  11. It's a shame Eloy will refuse to play DH. We'll just have to trade him ?
  12. It's time to sell. This season wasn't meant to be tbh.
  13. Apparently Cool Runnings wasn't too far fetched. Looks like teams just take athletes from other sports to compete in bobsledding.
  14. A 3B/2B with an OPS over .800 at the notorious pitcher's park in Birmingham. He's got a good OBP right now. Escobar isn't that great. He's a half year rental. He could very well regress to his career normals soon. If the Sox take on all his salary, I don't think he costs much more than Forbes. Maybe include a low level lottery type prospect.
  15. I need to hear @MLB Fun's take before I jump to conclusions.
  16. Hector has zero credibility. I have him in the same ranks as Not Steve Cishek.
  17. I don't trust anything from Hector Gomez tbh. The guy is a leech.
  18. Is this real? LaRoche divided the damn clubhouse. That's the type of player he wants? That can't be real
  19. Burdi wasn't a first round pick. He was a compensation round pick. Collins was the Sox first round pick that year.
  20. Tiquan Forbes for Escobar? Would he really cost much more than that?
  21. I don't think Jerry will want to eat Bryant's remaining salary
  22. Only 2 LH bats in that lineup. I'd be surprised if they don't acquire a lefty bat for 2ns base or RF.
