  1. That one was on Abreu, no doubt. Low baseball IQ
  2. Lol, Grandal and Jose are such dogshit right now. It's too be the bylaws state that veterans must hit high in the lineup, despite production
  3. I'm fairly confident I would be a better manager than Ricky, and I am dead serious.
  4. Just take your base Mazara. Get fucking hit by the ball
  5. No, let's just keep the status quo. Everything is great!!
  6. Have they been fundamentally sound since Ricky has been here? Come to think of it, is there anything Ricky does well aside from speaking 2 languages and being likable?
  7. He's gotta show off the pythons. Chicks dig the biceps. Plain and simple.
  8. I hope they pull the plug in the Mazara experiment sooner rather than later.
  9. Unless he is willing to grab some bench during year 3, and possibly year 2, it will get ugly.
  10. Mic. Drop. Thanks for playing, boys
  11. I don't think Madrigal will ever be a .360 OBP player. I think he will be in the 7-9 spots in the lineup. If Vaughn can be an OBP machine, bat him leadoff. Vaughn Moncada Robert Eloy Anderson Grandal Abreu Madrigal RFer
  12. According to my Soxtalk profile, the people have determined my Community Reputation to be "Hall of Famer" status. I've also been deemed "winner of the day" 11 times. So SS2K5, you and all the great posters here were most definitely not wrong about Ron. You were god damn right.
  13. If Vaughn becomes the high OBP guy many believes he will be, I'd be fine with him leading off. Look at what the Cubs are doing with Bryant and Rizzo. It's working out for them. Vaughn Moncada Robert Eloy
  14. Uh oh, somebody call Dr. James Andrews
  15. Alexei did get ragged on a lot for his mental blunders in the field, but his range and arm were superb. He had some great years with the team. I have always been an Alexei fan.
  16. Right. Jose Abreu, the guy who was worth 1.2 WAR in 2018 and 1.9 WAR in 2019 is soooooooooo good. He has been even worse this year. The overrating of Jose Abreu continues.
  17. Growing up, I never realized how good of a player Jose Valentin was. I was a young meatball fan back then, like most are when they're young. I remember him leading the league in errors during his first year with the Sox, and thinking he was a lousy fielder. The advance metrics paint a different picture. Whether you like the stat or not, Jose's UZR at SS and 3B were very good throughout his tenure here. Below is Jose's WAR year by year during his tenure with the team: 2000: 4.5 2001: 3.3 2002: 3.5 2003: 3.9 2004: 2.2 Jose Valentin was a hell of a player with this Sox. I liked him, but didn't truly appreciate him in my younger years. Something I do remember is his walk-off against the Cubs. Man, was that sweet. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/video/day-jose-valentin-hits-walk-homer-vs-cubs
  18. I won't be eating my words until Ray Ray eats his words about Frankie Montas
