  1. Wait it out until the 30th. The guy is 2nd in bWAR FWIW. With his contract, they'll get something good.
  2. Like somebody else said, I wish they'd just lony up 5y/150m and sign Crochet. The guy is special.
  3. Realistically, what would Hagen Smith do if the Sox drafted him and simply offered slot value? Is he really going to return to college over that amount?
  4. You hate Brooks Baldwin, so I'm not surprised.
  5. Makes me feel old seeing this guy's name and realizing he is already 29. Feels like yesterday he was a top draft pick.
  6. Harold loves what Getz has done this draft. I guess you guys differ on your opinions of how they drafted so far.
  7. So why exactly would Smith be overslot at 5? I don't understand that.
  8. I can't say I disagree with this. I feel it should be on the main page, or at least a sticky redirecting here in the main page if possible.
  9. Harold loves anything Getz does. Getz could literally draft a piece of s%*# 1st and Harold would praise it. His credibility is gone unfortunately.
  10. Deep oppo home run. Good stuff. Does Brooks have some untapped power?
  11. That's the final straw for me. Bring out Carl Everett.
  12. I think purposely pairing up a player with a psychopath actually could hurt.
  13. Lmao. Wishing that Carl Everett was a teammate of Robert's has to be one of the hottest and hilarious takes out there. It just makes no sense, compounded with the fact that Everett is an absolute psycho. Maybe the poster wants Everett to hold Robert at gunpoint to scare him straight.
  14. You've got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, and know when to run
  15. This sounds like the name of a WWE pay-per-view match.
  16. No he isn't. His peak value would likely be in the off-season or next deadline, when teams could be sure that he'll be available for a postseason run. There's no pressure to sell now. He could fall off like any pitcher, but he's always been pretty dominant. There's no reason to trade him now unless the Sox get blown away.
  17. Well well, the Baltimore scum hath return
  18. Yep, I agree. Wasn't sure how others would value his stint in South Korea. But he's obviously completely reinvented himself and proven it in the MLB. Seems like he'd have great value with his contract and the luxury tax rules.
  19. Aly wants this nickname back.
  20. @Y2Jimmy0 do you think Fedde's great half season of pitching is enough to command a decent haul for him? I wonder how far off it would be from a package for a pitcher who consistently put up these numbers, with the same contract.
  21. I really wonder what Crochet will demand in a trade. He's without question an ace with top tier stuff and good control on his contract. But the Sox are pitching him into the ground, and I don't see how he can remain a starter for a team's playoff run. Will teams gamble the house in him when he likely won't be able to start for an extended postseason run?
  22. For pitchers, Fedde 2nd in the MLB in bWAR behind Lugo. 15th in fWAR though. Makes sense for how they weight them I suppose. I'm convinced he's going to get a decent haul given his contract and cost. Just keeps proving himself.
