  1. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 01:31 PM) Gotta love Hahn's honesty there. He's right of course. Jose hardly ever sees fastballs middle in anymore it's usually a steady diet of junk low and away. It's sapped a large amount of Jose's power. Jose is still a good player, he's just not the star we hoped he'd be after his rookie season. Thank you. ^he heard the interview too I see.
  2. QUOTE (Quin @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 01:11 PM) Interesting. What was the exact quote? "I think in a sense the league has figured Jose out". Varied slightly, but it was along those lines.
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 10, 2017 -> 12:48 PM) Did Hahn say anything interesting? He said he thinks Jose Abreu is overrated. Nothing else of interest
  4. It's a shame Viciedo is no longer on the team
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 8, 2017 -> 12:55 PM) Another guy who for whatever reason is not well liked on this board. Was on pace for 30 homer season. I know, his advanced stats suck and will always suck. If somebody else got hurt, ruining a productive season, there'd be a ton of sympathy. Have you seen some of Davidson's bombs this season? Crushed. Definite highlights in one of the worst seasons in Sox history. This all can drive a person crazy. You don't need to tell me how bad Davidson is BTW. I've read all your advanced stat posts. Yeah, he sucks. I know. You must have loved white sox-era Adam Dunn if you like Matt Davidson this much
  6. What am I missing about seth beer? I get he had a monster freshman year. His numbers this year just don't stick out as 1st pick worthy as a 1st baseman.
  7. Tito polo out up 16 hrs, 37 sbs, 811 ops as a 21 year old CFer in A and A+ last year. Seems like he has good tools. Any reason he was left off?
  8. Tito polo is aomebody I wouldn't mind seeing. I think he is a bit underrated. CFer who hit 16 bombs last year. Has some good speed too.
  9. 2-3 with a dinger, a sb, and a BB in his first game back
  10. QUOTE (2005thxfrthmmrs @ Jul 31, 2017 -> 02:40 PM) That's how I view them as well, although I think Fulmer ends up being a quality late inning reliever, which has a lot of value too. 60 FV Kopech 55 FV Hansen Lopez Cease 50 FV Giolito Dunning Burdi 45 FV Guerrero Stephens Adams Fulmer Flores Clarkin Only a 60 for Kopech? Isn't this out of 80?
  11. You need vets like Melky during rebuilds. Bad trade imo
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 30, 2017 -> 12:00 PM) I am going to wild card guess Luis Robert Now I'm going to be disappointed if he doesn't play in the AFL
  13. Early, yes, but who would you like to see in the AFL this off season? I definitely think Eloy will be there. Wouldn't mind seeing Burger there either.
  14. Is burger just undermatched at his current level? Seems like he is demolishing these A pitchers. I wonder if we'll see him promoted this season or possible AFL time.
  15. I'm in my mid 20s. Honestly, those statistics match what I see from my age group. Coke is pretty prevalent.
  16. Soon you're going to see iamshack calling for the sox to bring Ozzie Guillen back
  17. I keep hearing that some of our players would benefit by choking up on the bat, especially with 2 strikes. Do you agree with this notion? Lots of chatter that it would help some of the players with longer swings. Do you believe in choking up on the bat? Not really sure about it.
  18. Reinsdorf also signed Jordan for 30 million in 1996, and 33 million in 1997. That is a WHOLE lot of money back then, and was far and away the highest per year contract given in the NBA at the time. He will dish out cash if it is worth it.
  19. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 19, 2017 -> 04:33 PM) He was very critical of the LaRoche situation on twitter. Not sure if that will have any barring though. If Harper was on Team LaRoche, I see very little chance that the White Sox even entertain the idea of signing him, IMO. The LaRoche situation is why the whole rebuild started. If you were team LaRoche, you got traded.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 17, 2017 -> 08:48 AM) Yeah, they were just clearing out the Drake LaRoche fans. That's why they traded their best 3 players and acquired 0 major leaguers. Never doubt the vindictiveness of KW
  21. Gotta agree with DA and Caulfield. More likely than not, he regresses. That's how it goes with relievers. But if he keeps it up for a full season and possibly into the first half of next, he has ridiculous value. I think teams will still be too skeptical to give up anything of great value. Plus, the sox need some relievers on their squad. It will be flat out ugly with swarzak and Robocop gone. Hold on to him, and see if he can prove he is not a fluke. A full season of dominance changed his value from a lottery ticket type prospect to a can't miss top 100 type of guy.
  22. I'm not quite sure if I'm ready to call this a rebuild or not yet
  23. Rabbit making 670 the score great again
  24. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 13, 2017 -> 04:01 PM) This comment just confirms that you are a troll, right? I mean it was already confirmed, but this just further cements it. I'm getting sick of people ragging on me regarding the topic. That is why. I admit he is having a good season. His value is as high as it will ever be right now IMO. He is playing very well. I have always said that if he shed some weight, it would help him big time. Turns out it has helped him. He is having a good season. That being said, he has no place on this team in the future (unless as a coach). Ship him out while his value is high. He is prone to long, painful slumps.
