  1. How do you yourself define "carrying" in terms of a player carrying BB% for a team? The guy lead the team in walks and lead the team in BB% by far. The team drops from 4th to 11th-13th when you chop off 40 walks, giving him an BB% of 12.5% as you stated. That seems pretty significant. Semantics.
  2. It depends on how much he falls off, obviously. Removing 40 walks still gives him a BB% of 12.5%~. That's still above average. Give him an 9.75% walk rate, which would rank 3rd best for a team average BB%, and it drops the Sox to 15th. Give him a league average BB% of 8.7% and it drops another spot I'd imagine. 15% of a teams walks by one player is pretty significant. If you replace him with a player with the league average walk rate, it drops the Sox from 4th to 15th or 16th. That's a lot.
  3. Carlos Perez raised his SO% from 1.19% to 2.27% today. Bum
  4. Not with Yolbert in the org
  5. Wrong. Yaz accounted for 15% of the White Sox team walks. 87 walks, 23.2% walk rate. Him falling off a cliff would absolutely drag down the White Sox BB% a significant amount.
  6. Lazy ass banner maker has to recycle old banners. We deserve better.
  7. Burger is what he is after less than 100 ABs in the majors? C'mon now.
  8. Yaz carried in that department. I'd imagine we'll see a big dropoff if father time has indeed caught up with him
  9. Coop got it done before. Crazier things have happened. Vince Velasquez = White Sox Jake Arrieta
  10. He's getting the call to the majors
  11. I was wondering WTF Doc Rivers was doing playing all his starters while up 29 with 4 minutes left. He should have taken them out long before that point. He deserves a ton of blame for Embiid's injury. What a massive mistake by Doc.
  12. The two areas Hahn has excelled in are signing players to affordable, long-term contracts, then successfully trading those players. He's struck out in FA plenty of times. However, the Sale, Quintana and Eaton trades were successes. I'd be ok letter him trade Giolito, Lynn and others.
  13. Tear this the hell down. Either a small rebuild or a full blown rebuild. This team isn't winning this year.
  14. I think they keep anybody with 3 or more years of control
  15. I they this continues and they'll have to retool. Do you really keep Giolito and Lynn if you know they won't make the playoffs? Jerry would probably want the budget slashed.
  16. Lots of people owe @Jack Parkman an apology for ripping him when he said the Sox may not win the division. I don't think they win it anymore.
  17. If things continue to go south, and the Sox don't appear to be a playoff team this year, do you support a quasi-rebuild or "retooling"? Trading away guys with less control left in order to have a better team 2 years from now? Giolito and Lance Lynn are the first guys that come to mind. TA if you're getting crazy. Then some relievers. This would get money of the payroll (Jerry's biggest concern) and hopefully result in some big time prospects.
  18. This argument is such crap. With the number of players on this team that supposedly can't hit "because of the cold", we're dead in the water come October.
  19. Does anybody else think that Yolbert is probably a better player than Harrison and Leury at this point? Defense was always his calling card, so I'd imagine he's at least equal to Harrison in that department.
  20. I think the fact that they wasted money on players of Josh Harrison's caliber is a big issue. Harrison, Leury, VV, Cueto. That stuff adds up.
