  1. I think they keep anybody with 3 or more years of control
  2. I they this continues and they'll have to retool. Do you really keep Giolito and Lynn if you know they won't make the playoffs? Jerry would probably want the budget slashed.
  3. Lots of people owe @Jack Parkman an apology for ripping him when he said the Sox may not win the division. I don't think they win it anymore.
  4. If things continue to go south, and the Sox don't appear to be a playoff team this year, do you support a quasi-rebuild or "retooling"? Trading away guys with less control left in order to have a better team 2 years from now? Giolito and Lance Lynn are the first guys that come to mind. TA if you're getting crazy. Then some relievers. This would get money of the payroll (Jerry's biggest concern) and hopefully result in some big time prospects.
  5. This argument is such crap. With the number of players on this team that supposedly can't hit "because of the cold", we're dead in the water come October.
  6. Does anybody else think that Yolbert is probably a better player than Harrison and Leury at this point? Defense was always his calling card, so I'd imagine he's at least equal to Harrison in that department.
  7. I think the fact that they wasted money on players of Josh Harrison's caliber is a big issue. Harrison, Leury, VV, Cueto. That stuff adds up.
  8. How is this team expected to win in October when so many players suck in cold weather?
  9. Sounds like he's partying too much on the weekends
  10. Nearly a 1.100 OPS. This guy is the real deal
  11. While the major league team has sucked, the minor league system has been much better than expected, imo. Lots of guys taking the next step. Bryan Ramos has looked amazing while being young for his age. Yolbert simply won't stop hitting and walking. Mena is an interesting young pitching prospect. Wes Kath and Colson Montgomery have shown flashes of their potential. Oscar Colas looks like he may be the real deal too. All in all, the minor league system looks better than the worst minor league system, which is where people had ranked it. https://www.milb.com/scores/chicago-white-sox/2022-04-28
  12. I agree. I said that recently actually. I'd wager that he's better than freaking Josh Harrison and Leury Garcia
  13. @DirtySox you the real MVP!
  14. This year in the minors has been so much more exciting than last year. At what point do we start getting really high in Ramos? Top 50 prospect high. He's not just hitting well. He's absolutely demolishing the ball at a young age. Got another hit and 2 BBs today. Fangraphs giving him a 60 FV on defense is really encouraging.
  15. He has no elite skills or measurements. Too slow for a SF, not great size or rebounding for a PF. His shot release is as slow as molasses. He has absolute zero "dog" or fight in him. I don't see much to get excited about.
  16. I think Abreu will have a fine year. He is going to bounce back soon, and all will be well Mwahaha
  17. Ramos with a 60 FV for fielding at 3B isn't something I expected.
  18. I think you need a break from the Sox. This team gets you so worked up that you talk yourself into unrealistic scenarios such as this one. It's never going to happen. You need to just relax dude.
  19. Gotta love what Colas is doing. He looks like the real deal so far. I wonder if they move him to AA in the near future.
  20. It's time to strip Harold of his scouting credentials. His talent evaluation has been way off.
  21. He'll get a job in the booth anywhere he wants, anytime he wants. Coaching his favorite team is a dream I'd imagine. I think he'd take it.
  22. What about Benetti? Honestly, he knows his stuff. He's a smart dude. I'd trust him with tactical moves. He'd be my choice.
