Reality is, we don't know whether Leury will be the starter or not. They can lie through their Twitter mouthpieces now and say he won't be the 2B starter. If things don't go as planned, he will be.
If they did, it is an absolutely monumental fuck up. That's 16m (14m if you count the 2m buyout) on the books that's you thought you'd get rid of. That's a bigly mistake.
Tough to tell. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't. Harold made it sound obvious there was a market for him and they weren't buying him out because of it.
I just don't see why anybody would want him at 16m.
Can you create Cubstalk.com for those of us that are disgusted with this team (because of this offseason and their typical failure to spend on the team) and will be rooting for the Northside next year? Thank you.
I never thought I'd say it, but thank god for real housewives. There's always another one of those series for her to watch while I'm binging Bulls/White Sox.
I'm going to laugh and cry if they get hosed on a Kimbrel deal. It seemed so painfully obvious that buying him out was the right call, yet the White Sox and many here were convinced he had trade value even at 16mil.
Why the hell did the owners stop Cuban from buying a team? Wasn't it so there wouldn't be a brash owner willing to blow the bank on his team? Exactly what Cohen is doing.
