  1. Nobody likes the hit and run more than you do hank, that's for sure
  2. Honestly this is what I worry about. Do you think the Sox would actually move on from Abreu? There's a possibility where Sheets and Vaughn are better than him next year, and an even higher possibility the following year. I guess our best hope is that Abreu agrees to be a part time player or pinch hitter if he falls off.
  3. Jose is still a productive player. He had a solid year and is a leader. However, he will be turning 35 next year and it is his last year under contract. A dropoff in production wouldn't be surprising at his age. It is widely assumed that he will be a White Sox for life. If we see a dropoff in production, do the Sox keep him regardless, ala Paul Konerko? 1B/DH is out biggest log jam. It would be a shame if the Sox simply rolled with Jose despite having better options, if his production indeed drops off. Do you think the Sox would do the smart thing and relegate him to a bench/pinch hitter if his production falls off? Would he accept it? I'm honestly worried that the Sox will roll with him as the starer regardless of if there are better options, because Jerry Reinsdorf.
  4. Grand slam Schwarber. 6-0 Bosox, lol
  5. Sad. Have you watched the Sox this season? He's in good shape and can play 3rd.
  6. Just a complete flub by Hahn during the trade deadline. I expect Pilkington to actually be a decent pitcher too.
  7. I see you made a WNBA thread in 2013. You seem to bring it up quite often for somebody that doesn't care about it.
  8. Dude just stop, you're making yourself look like an idiot. I'm sure there's other that don't enjoy the sport, but they aren't stupid enough to start an argument over it. Let the people enjoy the championship.
  9. So by your logic, get rid of challenges? That took the human element out of the game. The last play of the Dodgers-Giants series was marred by a blown strike call. That's what you want kept in the game?
  10. How do we know that TLR didn't have a gun to his head during that question?
  11. There seems to be a divide in opinions on whether Kimbrel will be tradable. I agree with you, and don't see why any team would want him given how horrible he was. Insiders like Harold and y2jimmy seem to think he is a tradable asset. I just don't get it. He had a good k/bb ratio, sure, but he was just awful. His past 2 seasons weren't great either.
  12. Eloy hits righties as well as lefties. Vaughn has ridiculous upside with the bat. Abreu isn't going anywhere, even if his production falls off a cliff. Sheets is the odd man out. Most teams would be happy to have those 3 in a lineup. Saying they won't succeed is ridiculous.
  13. You think Sheets would have a better year than Eloy and Vaughn next year?
  14. Not accepting it doesn't mean he isn't healthy. They might just not trust him to stay healthy.
  15. The Sox need to roll the dice on Conforto. He was a 4 WAR player from 2017-2020. He reverts back to form and the Sox have the RFer they need. Eat some of Kimbrel's salary and trade him off (apparently other teams want him?).
  16. Jack returned AND Tony is logging off for the night! Two good things in one day! Wow!
