  1. Get out there and sign that fucking guy, Rick! It's a shame he is a righty. The Sox desperately need to get more left handed.
  2. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=suzuki001sei Looks like he has been in the league for 9 years exactly.
  3. Aren't we committed to Colas and one other guy? I wonder if there's some team out there that has just completely blown the intl FA and has max money for him still.
  4. Assuming there is a salary floor, Keuchel + some money + prospect(s) to a rebuilding team that is beneath the floor. I have no idea what the money amount or prospect requirement will be. These are uncharted territories with the potential salary floor.
  5. The only thing that gives me pause is Scherzer's age and historical workload. That being said, Scherzer for sure.
  6. The Sox pitching sucked and their hitting sucked. That's why they lost. A 5-game series can go either way.
  7. Sign a good 2B and make Balta the manager, this team wins nearly 110 games
  8. If they improve in RF, they have the luxury of seeing if Romy becomes a dude this year. If not, you trade for somebody like Eduardo Escobar at the deadline.
  9. How do you feel about Romy, Jimmy? I'm feeling good about him based on his athleticism and how big of a jump he made last year. His potential upside seems higher than Yogurt.
  10. You see who the Sox rolled out at 2B this year? They could win the division with a piece of garbage at 2nd base.
  11. They obviously wouldn't have kept him if he went on a racist rant. Do you honestly believe that is or is this classic Balta exaggeration?
  12. It is surprising looking back. It was a different time then though. Things have definitely changed since then.
  13. You think they'll really do that though? He needs to accept an Albert Pujols role.
  14. Nobody likes the hit and run more than you do hank, that's for sure
  15. Honestly this is what I worry about. Do you think the Sox would actually move on from Abreu? There's a possibility where Sheets and Vaughn are better than him next year, and an even higher possibility the following year. I guess our best hope is that Abreu agrees to be a part time player or pinch hitter if he falls off.
  16. Jose is still a productive player. He had a solid year and is a leader. However, he will be turning 35 next year and it is his last year under contract. A dropoff in production wouldn't be surprising at his age. It is widely assumed that he will be a White Sox for life. If we see a dropoff in production, do the Sox keep him regardless, ala Paul Konerko? 1B/DH is out biggest log jam. It would be a shame if the Sox simply rolled with Jose despite having better options, if his production indeed drops off. Do you think the Sox would do the smart thing and relegate him to a bench/pinch hitter if his production falls off? Would he accept it? I'm honestly worried that the Sox will roll with him as the starer regardless of if there are better options, because Jerry Reinsdorf.
  17. Grand slam Schwarber. 6-0 Bosox, lol
  18. Sad. Have you watched the Sox this season? He's in good shape and can play 3rd.
  19. Just a complete flub by Hahn during the trade deadline. I expect Pilkington to actually be a decent pitcher too.
  20. I see you made a WNBA thread in 2013. You seem to bring it up quite often for somebody that doesn't care about it.
  21. Dude just stop, you're making yourself look like an idiot. I'm sure there's other that don't enjoy the sport, but they aren't stupid enough to start an argument over it. Let the people enjoy the championship.
  22. So by your logic, get rid of challenges? That took the human element out of the game. The last play of the Dodgers-Giants series was marred by a blown strike call. That's what you want kept in the game?
  23. How do we know that TLR didn't have a gun to his head during that question?
