QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 12, 2016 -> 05:48 PM) I half agree with ya on this. Due to Dickerson's injury concerns with his plantar fasciitis, he would be the cheapest of the three. But I think CarGo brings in a bigger haul than Blackmon due to his left handed power, despite CarGo's salary. CarGo was healthy in '15 and thanks to Heyward's new salary raising the bar, CarGo has surplus value to go with his LH power. I know were you're coming from, but I still disagree. We'll agree to disagree

I like Blackmon, but I think he would be the most expensive out of the 3 Colorado OFers because he's so cheap, more years of control, and has produced more than Dickerson.

I would agree with 81 wins. -
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 12, 2016 -> 04:50 PM) Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 4m4 minutes ago Sources: #Tigers among teams talking to #Rockies, who have surplus of LH hitting outfielders. Precise target for DET unclear; no deal close. Get one of them Tigers, please. Preferably CarGo.

QUOTE (scs787 @ Jan 12, 2016 -> 10:33 AM) Yep, seen him when he first started out in Windy City Pro, and a few shows for IWA Mid South. The company I used to work for did ring rentals and we rented out to a Lucha show, guess they had him booked before he signed with WWE and he canceled his booking with them so the owner absolutely hated him and I got to hear a big long rant from him. Dudes exciting as hell, and I hope he gets pushed like Mysterio did. I think Kalisto's performance in the ladder match at TLC was the high point of his career, and where fans really took notice of him. Ever since then, he's gotten a push, and he has performed great. Needs to work on his mic skills though. -
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jan 12, 2016 -> 01:49 AM) While not even close to as scary, I slid to a stop coming down a hill to a red light. My car doesn't have Anti-lock breaks (2004, seriously?), so I just pumped them a bunch and manuevered to the side to avoid rear-ending the guy in front of me. All while maintaining my Steak-N-Shake Nutella shake in one hand. *swish* I'm waiting to go to class, I read this and instantly start laughing hahaha. Glad you're alright, man.

Kalisto beats Del Rio for the US title. -
QUOTE (Saufley @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 07:32 PM) Now the Sox have to go that little bit further and get us that big bat, which can hopefully make it happen in 2016. Just getting back to the Cespedes topic. I completely agree, and like most said on this board, the acquisitions of Frazier and Lawrie mean nothing without another big bat in the OF.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 07:20 PM) Still it took 5 players to get those 2. Sox can't afford to keep trading out players to fill position needs. Yes, but when we did sell, it helped us make 2 trades this year that signals that we want to go to the playoffs and win a championship.

Gerardo Parra signs with Rockies, 3 yrs 27.5mil

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 07:17 PM) @JeffFletcherOCR Angels not one of the teams for Parra, but if Rockies get him expect Angels to take a shot at Blackmon. I was watching MLBN this afternoon and they had Tracy something on the show (forgot his last name). Hhe mentioned that the Angels like Blackmon, and mentioned Nick Trepano as a pitcher, along with some prospects heading to the Rockies in a potential deal. -
QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 07:10 PM) Not expecting a star but can't even get them to be average player is an issue. Considering we got Frazier and Lawrie for Montas and Wendelken, amongst others, it all balances out. That's good scouting.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 01:16 PM) Does this mean we won't be seeing an Avi Garcia trade? I heard that Everett will be giving a biblical lecture about dinosaurs. Micah Johnson was scheduled to go to SoxFest I believe. We know how that turned out.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 01:05 PM) http://www.denverpost.com/rockies/ci_29370...cluding-rockies "There has been speculation that Parra, a free agent who began his career with Arizona, is seeking a three-year deal in the neighborhood of $24 million, but Mijares would only say that his client wants a three-year contract. Mijares added that he hopes to have a decision "within the next few days." If 3/24M is true, I am all aboard the sign Parra bandwagon! Somehow, I think he gets more than that though. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 01:06 PM) Parra's going to get more than 8 million a year Yeah, I don't see how he signs for anything less than 10 million per year. -

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 12:58 PM) Best outcome for the Sox if the Angels get him, and the Rockies still trade CarGo to St. Louis. I'm worried that CarGo getting traded hinges on the Rockies getting Parra though. Parra to the Angels and Davis resigning in Baltimore would be huge for the Sox. -
Jaylon Smith enters the NFL draft. I would still love him in a Bears uniform despite the knee injury. I think he can be a Luke Keuchley

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 12:23 PM) Curious where this leads to if CO signs Parra. I don't see the Sox getting CarGo but still curious to see where he lands. Also curious about the other two teams involved for Parra, whom BTW comes with no comp pick attached. I've been on the fence with Parra but at this point I prefer him over Fowler. Chris Cotillo hints that the Angels are one of the other teams, So, it's between the Rockies, Angels, and the dreaded #MysteryTeam, -
QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 12:10 PM) Angels rumored to be 2 of the 3 finalist for Gerardo Parra on a 3 year deal. Take that FWIW. Just posted that in the Parra thread.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jan 11, 2016 -> 11:43 AM) new hitting coach Barry Bonds has been lobbying loud and hard for the Marlins to keep Ozuna. He thinks he can fix whatever is ailing him. I bet the Marlins listen to Bonds I did not know that, thank you.
