QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 09:30 PM) Definitely love what I'm hearing from Hahn tonight Just gotta make it happen.
-
Daryl Van Schouwen @CST_soxvan 1m1 minute ago Hahn said White Sox are not done looking to improve offense. Yes! Keep doing it! Take my money!

QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 09:06 PM) Get Upton and Frazier and subtract Avi and LaRoche...I'm legit excited about this team for 2016. Stop teasing me!!
-
Last day of the meetings is tomorrow, correct? If so, is there usually any action on the last day?
-
A lineup with Frazier & Upton & a trade of LaRoche while eating some money LF Eaton (L) DH Cabrera (S) 1B Abreu RF Upton 3B Frazier C Navarro/Avila (S) (L) CF Thompson 2B Sanchez SS Saladino

Sox rumored to be interested in anyone?
-
QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 05:53 PM) Anderson isn't a can't miss guy. People still question his defense and his ability to make contact. Not worth denying all-star worthy talent to keep. If you trade Anderson to get Frazier. Sox MUST SIGN Upton.

QUOTE (Lip Man 1 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 03:51 PM) For what its worth I just got off the phone with the former assistant GM for the Helena Brewers. Milwaukee was the team the originally drafted Lawrie and he was supposed to be assigned there. He held out and wound up missing the entire Pioneer League season He said flat out the guy is a "head case" (direct quote) and that's why the Brewers got rid of him so quickly. Mark He was drafted out of HS, and probably thought he was hot ****. A person could mature with age. That was 7-8 years ago. Stop trying to prove your point.
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 03:50 PM) I am like you. While I have some concerns of Lawrie, it also sounds like he's a pretty hard ass player who brings an edge, which I think we could use more of. Same. Much like what AJ brought to this team.
-
QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 03:15 PM) I've also gotten the vibe the Sox want to complete 2-3 deals in a row in the quick succession, which is obviously requires a lot of moving parts. You want to get it right, but at the same time, you wait long enough and teams move on. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 03:18 PM) It makes sense to me if they want to be "in", they want to get all of their ducks in a row before pulling them off. I could see this as well. Trade for Lawrie, trade LaRoche, sign Upton.
-
QUOTE (spiderman @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 03:07 PM) My sources can confirm that the deal has not been completed. If/Once Ken Rosenthal breaks in, I will alert everyone. Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 1m1 minute ago Source: #Athletics still pondering options with Lawrie. No deal with #WhiteSox yet. Different scenarios in play.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 03:06 PM) Just seems like the organization lost all faith in Johnson. I agree. Sanchez also showed life with the bat in the 2nd half, plus his defense is elite. I do believe Micah is on the block.
-
So, about that Brett Lawrie guy. Wonder if this is gonna get done, or we give up more for Frazier.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 03:02 PM) Frazier Eh, I think that's a pretty steep price. If Cozart was in the deal as well to play SS, I might be fine with that. I don't know, that's a lot.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:58 PM) I would absolutely support an Anderson/Adams/M. Johnson deal For Frazier and Phillips or just Frazier? C. Trent Rosecrans @ctrent 4m4 minutes ago Word I’m hearing is #Reds are shopping Frazier heavily. Makes most sense at this point
-
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:50 PM) You mean Cozart? Yeah, it auto corrected lol.
-
QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:51 PM) Chris Cotillo @ChrisCotillo 12s12 seconds ago Source on Brett Lawrie-to-White Sox rumors: "Not done." So there's that. Great insight. Obviously it's not done if we haven't heard anything about it.
-
QUOTE (SCCWS @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:44 PM) We have to trade Avi if we get Lawrie. They are very similiar players. Both strikeout as often as they get a hit and both are terrible fielders. Avi draws more walks but Lawrie may be a tad faster...........................ugggh Lawrie isn't a terrible fielder
-
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 02:43 PM) I think they'd want more than just Anderson. My presumption is they'd be starting the conversation at Anderson / Fullmer. I honestly don't know that they budge from their. Reds would probably settle for a package built around Anderson, Johnson +. I don't know whether the Sox would. If it would take Anderson, Johnson+, I would ask for Frazier and Cozart. Then sign Upton
-
Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 32s32 seconds ago Source: #Mets agree to trade Niese to #Pirates for Walker, pending medical reviews.
-
Things aren't heating up anymore.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 11:23 AM) To be fair, almost no teams have been mentioned with the big bats. Amazing how quiet it's been with Cespedes and Upton. Cespedes yes, but now the Upton market is heating up. Giants, O's, and Angels all have been linked. Although, it looks like Giants are focusing in on Gordon.
-
If we are indeed close with Lawrie, I don't know how we are not being mentioned with any of the big OF bats in FA or in trade (CarGo). Just getting Lawrie makes 0 sense.
-
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Dec 9, 2015 -> 09:41 AM) Yet he has not moved anyone of note when the time was right. Never moving Ramirez was a bad move in hindsight. His return on Peavy is not looking all that great. The Santiago trade seems to be wash at best. The Davidson trade was a loss. This organization seems to be stagnating as they are build their farm system somewhat but to the degree that it will benefit them moving forward. Montas is a top 100 prospect and Wendelken will be in the bullpen at some point Eaton >>>>> Santiago

Chances we can get Reddick as part of this deal?
