QUOTE (daggins @ Dec 6, 2015 -> 09:48 AM) No thanks to EJ for Lawrie swap. He is bad and trending in the wrong direction. What would you call EJ? He's already failed once in the majors as well. Not saying I'd make the trade, but I could see the logic.

Ken Rosenthal @Ken_Rosenthal 7m7 minutes ago #Nationals had been reluctant to give O’Day 4th yr -set definitive price point. #Orioles get him on 4-yr, $31M deal, as @JonHeymanCBS said. That's quite a bit for a set up guy. Reliever market about to pick up now.

Very interesting article, thank you for that. -
QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 6, 2015 -> 06:12 AM) @Buster_ESPN: Other teams say Oakland is devoted to the idea of trading Brett Lawrie. I fully expect him to be on the White Sox within the next week.

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Dec 5, 2015 -> 12:39 PM) Good sox can bank that comp pick. 3 top 50s should really help the org. Samardzija went to a team I like. Turnaround wouldn't surprise me. Just not a fit on the southside. Green, I definitely agree with you on all counts. This might be the first time lol. -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Dec 5, 2015 -> 11:46 AM) Hmmmm... Elliotte FriedmanVerified account @FriedgeHNIC Tikhonov (CHI) is on waivers today. That's a bit of a surprise. Mark Lazerus @MarkLazerus 28m28 minutes ago Viktor Tikhonov being on waivers could mean Bryan Bickell's return is imminent. That's enough money to fit him under the cap. #Blackhawks Wouldn't mind it. Bickell has been tearing it up in the minors.

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 5, 2015 -> 10:11 AM) What round are the competitive balance picks (still can't figure out whey we don't get one)? After 3rd round? So, since Shark officially signed now. Are we up to #30?

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 5, 2015 -> 12:34 PM) I think this is one of the better moves of the offseason to date Yeah I agree. I think he'll have an above average year down there. -

Well, I'm pretty pumped we'll have 3 top 50 picks. I don't think we'll sign anyone with a QO attached to them. -

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 5, 2015 -> 12:10 PM) That's the past. They sure as hell won't be winning any championships now that he's on the team. His style of pitching fits perfect with the Giants. Pitchers park and great team defense. -

Deal is official for Jeff and the Giants. 5 years/90 million. There's our comp pick -

QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 5, 2015 -> 12:09 PM) LOLOLOLOLOL. I feel bad for Giants fans. I don't. That park fits perfectly for him. And they play great team defense. -

Man City loses to Stoke. Their defense is awful -
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 5, 2015 -> 08:54 AM) I'd rather we signed Henderson Alvarez despite him missing the first month or two. Same. I'd also be interested in Minor as well.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 5, 2015 -> 08:57 AM) Holy hell where is that ZIPS projection? Dan Szymborski @DSzymborski ZiPS suggests Kershaw would make $45 million a year in free agency right now! And Sale 10/299. Here's the tweet.

QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 02:53 PM) He wasnt on long which was a little disappointing. I was hoping he would talk about Montas and where he views him in a year or two. It's Kaplan and Rogers. They probably talked for 5-8 minutes, hung up, then proceeded to talk about the Cubs again.

QUOTE (daggins @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 07:22 PM) I have a feeling they either trade for a big starter (Q!) or bring in another FA like Chen or Shark. I don't think they'll sign another pitcher unless it's Maeda. I see them going the trade route (Gray, Carrasco, Q)
-
Their rotation is still not much to be desired for. Grienke, Corbin, Bradley, Ray, and De La Rosa, Collmenter? Very average.
-
This is crazy. Good for the DBacks.
-
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 06:39 PM) Still a team could just toss out a blind bid of like 1 mill just in case and if the team accepted it or not ut doesn't mean they have to work out a deal. They'd get the money back as well. You'd think so. Just shows you what teams think of him.
-
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 06:14 PM) Wow I'm a little surprised no one tried. Because teams don't see his numbers translating to the MLB. It sounds like he's a Gordon Beckham. All glove, no bat.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 12:48 PM) If they trade for him, likely means Q or Johnson is gone Hopefully Johnson then.
-
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 12:42 PM) Decent bounce back candidate if he's healthy though. Could have a nice year and earn a QO at the end of the season. Especially with next year's free agent pitching class. He's still not better than anybody in the rotation currently, imo.

QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 4, 2015 -> 12:38 PM) http://nypost.com/2015/12/03/yankees-about...-nova-shopping/ Nova is not an improvement in this rotation....
