  1. At the All Star break, Jennings had an ERA of 7.83. He lowered that to 3.99 with a FIP of 3.47. He gave up 8 ER in the 2nd half of the season. You definitely keep him.
  2. AA not returning to the Blue Jays is a bit shocking. He turned an extension. Does Shapiro go after KW now?
  3. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:24 PM) One of my favorite calls ever lol. I love it.
  4. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:18 PM) Other observations- Near perfect minute distribution by Hoiberg. Crucial in the 2nd game of a back-to-back. Stacey King's new thing is "Moore Moore Moore!" for E'Twaun Moore... can't tell if I like it yet. Snell's confidence must be at an all-time high. This early in the season, managed the minutes perfectly. Loved it. My favorite Stacey King call is Korver's hot sauce or Marco "I like my meatballs spicy" Belinelli lol
  5. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:14 PM) Defense isn't all about rebounds and fouls. I watched the game from start to finish and their interior D was good. And everyone knows +/- is a BS stat. Joel Anthony was top-3 in +/- a few years ago. Joel Anthony. Noah and Gibson got burned by lots of lucky shots from Brook Lopez and flukey plays by the Nets guards, who they weren't guarding. I watched the game form start to finish as well. I think we'll just settle on our different opinions. Gibson and Noah didn't impress me at all on either end tonight, but it's early and they have a reputation of being solid. Just wasn't tonight. Same with Brooks, just offensively. I'm fine with it.
  6. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:07 PM) Noah was a train wreck offensively, and Gibson was poor offensively as well, but I wouldn't say they played poorly overall because their defense was solid. If 7 rebounds, 5 turnovers, and 8 fouls in 36 minutes is solid then ok. If you say, they were bad offensively and "solid" defensively, Brooks was the opposite, so if you wanna say he was bad. Then you have to say all 3 were bad. Edit:Noah and Gibson were a combined -23 when on the court
  7. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:01 PM) His defense was horrendous, and his four misses led to fastbreak points for Brooklyn. Edit- He was so bad that he got benched for Hinrich in the 4th quarter Lol that happens man. The entire bench was pretty bad all night. Singling out Brooks when he at least contributed offensively is bad. Noah and Gibson were horrendous. 1-7 shooting, 7 rebounds, 8 fouls, and 5 turnovers in 36 minutes of play between them. That's bad. Edit: Also, Brooks was the only guy on the bench with a positive +/- with a +1
  8. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 08:55 PM) Butler, Rose, Gasol, and Mirotic were all spectacular tonight. Snell, Noah, and Moore were decent. Gibson, McDermott and Hinrich were meh. Brooks was bad. Overall, a good game. 2-0. Brooks was not bad. He was pretty efficient when in the game. I don't know how 12 points, 3 assists, 1 rebound and 1 turnover on 5-9 is bad. Noah and Gibson were bad.
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 11:22 AM) Andre Wheeler replaces JB Wendelken. https://twitter.com/MLBPipeline/status/659404509446283264 Any word on why Wendelken left? Hope it's not injury. He could be a factor in the bullpen as soon as next season imo.
  10. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 10:32 AM) I'm sure Ryan Pace had heard of that incident from last year. I would have cut him my first day as GM. Didn't Pace name Ratliff as one of the key members of this team at the beginning of the year? Fox and Fangio did in preseason.
  11. QUOTE (LDF @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 11:19 AM) you bring up a very interesting point. i like to think that the hawks, now esp in the beginning of the season, can give this young players some seasoning by playing in nhl games. esp if they hold there own this new kid coming up, he is real skilled according to his profiles, the hawk have him, some new blood will need to start replacing some of the older players, esp in the playoff if their is an injury. it is a win - win situation. he is 23 yr old, played in the mens league in sweden and he is ready to play in the nhl. i really hate to say this, Stan should really try to trade mcneil with danault in a pkg with a hard to trade player.... hell even throw in a draft pick McNeil yes, Danault no. Danault might replace Kruger next year if Kruger gets too expensive. The only hard player on this team that is difficult to trade is Bickell.
  12. QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 27, 2015 -> 09:01 PM) I liked what I saw out of Hinostroza, but he'll be back up at some point this season. Excited to see what Kero can do. Getting a look at what these young kids can do this year (Baun, Hinostroza, Kero, Dano eventually) will give the Hawks options for next year. I think Bickell, Shaw, and Garbutt will be gone next year if these kids do anything positive. Maybe even Kruger gone as well with Danault in the pipeline (recovering from hip surgery)

  14. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2582867...dipping-problem I thought Trestman couldn't be any worse......WOW.
  15. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 07:50 AM) The roster is at 38. Albers, Samardzija, Soto, and Beckham going to free agency will bring it to 34 and outfighting someone like Carroll could bring it to 33. How many guys need protecting for Rule 5? Thank you. I could see Kevan Smith and possibly Davidson DFA'd as well.
  16. Great pick up. Low risk, high reward. Roster at 39 now?
  17. QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Oct 26, 2015 -> 07:47 PM) Can't believe Getzlaf/Perry have combined 0 goals...wow, explains their 1-5-1 record They have 6 goals. No player on the Ducks has 3 points.
  18. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 26, 2015 -> 08:23 AM) They were both successful franchises during my kid/teen years so I'm indifferent as they both deserve a comeback. Although, the Royals' window is closing soon and the Mets' window is just starting to open. I'd say, the Royals winning would be the best option as the Mets will have the next 5 years to taunt and squash the Cubs' dreams. I think their window for their pitching is just about to open. Offensively, that's another story imo.
  19. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 26, 2015 -> 07:31 AM) Who? His offers are just Nebraska, Maryland, and Xavier from what I see. Shouldn't have too tough a time vs those guys. Not a bad offer list considering he originally committed to Tulane. All respectable teams. Supposedly he is known more for his rebounding and defending, but his shot looks pretty good, and he has good handles for a 2/3.
  20. HIAC was alright. Quite a bit of botched moves tonight. Pretty pumped Del Rio is back and is now the US Champ.
  21. Illinois has 6'6 wing Kipper Nichols on an official visit right now. Previously committed to Tulane.
  22. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 11:21 AM) It's absolutely not enough, but they're not going to sign all three. I think realistically they'll sign two players for IF spots and maintain the rest of the roster. If they do that, then they will be worse than last year. You mentioned Freese and Asdrubal Cabrera, I'd rather have Saladino/Olt and Alexei than them.
  23. QUOTE (MnSoxFan @ Oct 20, 2015 -> 04:29 PM) Engel went 2-3 yesterday and is hitting .300 with a couple walks and SBs. Wendelken threw a scoreless inning as well. Big fan of Wendelken out of the pen. Glad he's had 2 solid outings in a row after his hiccup in game 1. Think he can be a good 7th-8th inning guy. QUOTE (Dunt @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 06:55 AM) Up to .357/.500/.429 after yesterdays performance. Man would that be a huge coup if he could produce a 700+ OPS with his defense and speed. If he can do well in AA, could be trade bait to use for an impact bat.
  24. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Oct 23, 2015 -> 10:54 AM) Those two alone are not enough. We need to add at least one impact bat. 2B: I'm fine with Sanchez. C: I want Wieters. If Wieters doesn't cost us a draft pick, I'll be fine with it. A 3-4 year deal would probably work for him. If a draft pick is attached to him, then no. Even though we'd have to give up assets, Derek Norris is the catcher I want. Plus defense, durable, and won't be a hole in the lineup.
