  1. QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 10:27 AM) and this is where bowman screwed up by not trading bickell, before the draft. the hawks needs to get another experience dman, to help on the workload. No one probably wants Bickell
  2. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 10:03 AM) Don't get me wrong, it should be a fun year, but I just don't see them going back to back after all of the changes. Those things take a while to work out in hockey. They should be a top team and all. It will be a fun year. Hawks are favored again to win the cup in Vegas. Yet, IF everything clicks (Kane playing), this team has more potential than any of the cup winning teams.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 10:01 AM) Odds of those both happening are? Not too high for me just on the first one. Depends, if Dano is playing with Toews and Hossa then I think its very doable. He had 21 points in 35 games on a bad Colombus team.
  4. QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 08:45 AM) i know nothing of Dano and i really don't have a clue to how he is expected to performed. but i look at it this way, didn't kane and toews start on the 2 line??? well did they move to the first, both or either one?? ref to age, and moving up, isn't dano, if what is said to be true, be the same age as kane and toews?? penciling him as a 1 st liner without knowing for sure, i think it is wishful hoping. then again, who will replace Saad and his numbers with the players the hawks has now?? Dano and Panarin can if they reach their ceilings. Dano is a younger and cheaper Saad if everything goes right. Panarin is a younger and cheaper Sharp if everything goes right.
  5. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 17, 2015 -> 08:04 AM) What's with all the love for Dano? Is he really 1st-line cabliber/a 50 point player? Yes, and he's only 21 years old. He put up 19 points in 33 games on a bad Columbus team last year. Dano could be the next Saad.
  6. He's really young for his class, like Malcolm Hill. I believe he's now just turning 17. Also, Cal & Wisconsin came late he said but that Illinois is the right fit for him. Late riser.
  7. QUOTE (LDF @ Sep 16, 2015 -> 04:32 PM) which one, #3 or #10... either way, it is wishful thinking. #3. The Marlins, Phillies, and Braves are BAD
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Sep 16, 2015 -> 09:07 AM) Alexei probably shook off Geo more than Buerhle has ever shaken off a catcher. That was entertaining. Leury looked pretty good as well. I think if Leury ever busted out as a position player, he might want to give pitching a try. While it was fun to watch them, to me, nothing beats Dunn on the mound. His mannerisms were hysterical. I agree, Dunn was fantastic to watch on the mound lol.
  9. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Sep 16, 2015 -> 09:24 AM) RT @DarrenDreger: Expect the Blackhawks to provide info on Patrick Kane's training camp status today. No reason to think Kane won't participate. If he participates, then we can expect Kane to be ready for the season I bet. No way Mcdonough would let Kane to training camp and risk negative publicity like Kane being charged or something.
  10. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 16, 2015 -> 08:45 AM) Well, they get good recruits all the time. Really just a matter of getting a pg. That I have little confidence in, though this kid's offer sheet isn't great either. Michigan was going after Lucas real hard until they managed to get Simpson.
  11. That's 2 games in a row where Micah's hitch turning 2 cost the team a double day.
  12. QUOTE (Lillian @ Sep 15, 2015 -> 08:36 PM) What are the chances that MLB revises the method of determining qualifying offers? Requiring a QO of $15 Million for a pitcher of Samardjiza's quality is ridiculous. Stephen Drew got one a couple years ago and I believe he hit under 200 that year lol
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 15, 2015 -> 02:57 PM) Not sure how Soria gets anyone out these days. Stuff doesn't look good at all. This would be a terrible loss for the Pirates. And the Pirates over come Soria's implosion and win the game.
  14. PG Te'Jon Lucas announcing tomorrow. Down to Illinois, USC, and Old Dominion.
  15. Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 12h12 hours ago Starling Marte would've been with the White Sox if not for a vengeful, gun-toting buscon. More from @BradyMcCollough: http://bit.ly/1gnFkOq Balta mentioned it in the minor league thread, but I thought this was worth its own thread on what would of been. This really upsets me because I love Starling Marte and would of loved to see him in a Sox uniform.
  16. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 10:41 PM) When your catcher starts messing up you start to throwing to the catcher instead of the hitter. He didn't block the first strikeout either that went for a drop 3rd strike.
  17. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 10:09 PM) That inning was all on Flowers. Not just the passed ball, the interference as well. And that CI was a game ending double play ball. Flowers is so bad.
  18. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 10:05 PM) Hahn's press conference with Melky, Samardzija and Robertson gets more depressing by the day Not one hard hit ball that inning.
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 14, 2015 -> 10:02 PM) Please be his last chance I better see Brantly starting tomorrow.
