Race for the worst 2018 record (Top 5 pick) again
GGajewski18 replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
You say let's see what he's doing once he makes it to full season ball. You took Gorman's total numbers rather than his numbers in full season A ball, in which I gave. Because the league in which Gorman and Bush are/did really well in, the Appalachian League, is extremely hitter friendly. Little Nicky was rated the best hit tool in the draft with above average defense and speed. On top of that, out for half the year with a wrist injury, which if you don't know is the absolute worst for hitters, and now battling a bruised thumb, AND a college season twice as long as the HS season. So, I think it's unfair to judge Madrigal 35 games into his pro career. If your judging off this many games, you probably thought Courtney Hawkins was going to be here for 10+ years hitting third. Get off the ledge dude. -
Race for the worst 2018 record (Top 5 pick) again

On top of that, he has huge concerns that he actually does stick at 3B. So, if he doesn't, he probably moves to 1B. Would he be Zack Collins then? Low average, decent obp (Collins has better plate discipline, yes I know the age difference), but you see how this game works? Gorman is 30 games into his pro career. He's has major concerns with his hit tool and where he's going to play in the field. So next time, let's present all facts, and not jump on someone's jock after a month of baseball. This is not knocking Gorman at all either. I like him as a player. It's just that Madrigal definitely has better tools (hit, speed, fielding) Gorman just has louder tools (Power) -

What's impressive about a .236 average, .296 obp and a strikeout rate of 40% in low A? The home runs? He's 18? We have a kid by the name of Bryce Bush we got in the 33rd round who does not strikeout, hits for some power and pretty well average. Should we of taken him 4th overall? -
Kopech the latest MLB player with questionable Twitter history
GGajewski18 replied to LittleHurt05's topic in Pale Hose Talk
The people that dig these old tweets up are losers just trying to get in the limelight. Kopech deleted them, he addressed them and apologized. Let it go and honestly, I don't think anyone cares anymore. -

Luis Avilan traded to Phillies for Felix Paulino
GGajewski18 replied to Sleepy Harold's topic in Pale Hose Talk
This. I don't know how anyone doesn't get it. Bummer, Fry, and Frare can all replicate or do better than Avilan for cheaper and obviously the Sox have more control over. -
That April schedule is really favorable.

It's not hard to think why the Sox moved Avilan and probably want to move Cedeno next. -

This is great. They'll bring Bummer back up eventually. Fry and Bummer and Frare will be your lefties. -
I've gotta say, I love Kopech's cockiness, swagger, confidence. Anderson has this too, it's just Kopech has more talent and Anderson is still incredibly raw. I think this is needed on this team and something I hope Moncada can develop a little bit.

I thought the show was decent. Obviously the main event ruined everything. No one has interest in it. Crowd chanting you both suck, beachballs, just awful and so predictable. -
Disagree. His OBP is low, probably will always be like that, but you don't give up 20+ HR 60 RBI+ and average to above average defense at SS. On a good team, Anderson would be the perfect 9 hitter.
-
Ricky does need to go. The use of the bullpen, the constant bunting, the pulling guys on questionable plays, and the two most important guys in the lineup (Moncada and Anderson) being shuffled around the lineup. I've had enough of this crap. Give me Justin Jirchele.

Fathom, I lol'd. Kopech drills a dude in the ass and picks him off. Fantastic lol.
-
I'm sure they knew this was probably an option. Probably why he fell to the third day. Kid was a top 5 round talent I believe according to draft reports.
-
Giolito hitting 94-96 all game long is really encouraging to see too.

Rodon/Kopech/Gio Gonzalez/Lopez/Giolito I expect Dunning, Cease, and Stephens to be up at some point too.
-
You're winning another top 5 draft pick in 2020 with these moves.

I feel dumber reading this thread that people think Moncada isn't important, that he's better off in the minors. My god people. He's 23 years old with pretty good plate discipline, a good eye. Definitely needs to be more aggressive early in the count. That'll come with more reps.

I laughed when Adam Cole talked about the "captivating" rivalry of three years between Reigns/Lesnar. On twitter, WWE got hammered from the fans for that. The Reigns/Lesnar feud might be one of the worst rivalries that the WWE has created between Lesnar never wrestling except for 4 times a year, Reigns being forced down our throats, the grand total of 4 moves between both wrestlers, and how boring these matches have been. Brooklyn is going to boo the crap out of this match and I guarantee more beach balls will be present. I'd be willing to bet that whoever wins doesn't even generate much of a reaction unless Braun/Owens cashes in. -
Midseason 16-30 - the back half of the FutureSox T30

List is fine with me. Only minor issue is that I think Jimmy Lambert is too low. -
I'd be willing to bet that at least 3.5 of that WAR is defensively. Buxton hasn't done anything offensively.
-
All of this, what you said, is wrong.
