QUOTE (Mike F. @ Aug 25, 2015 -> 04:19 PM) Who do you think gets called up? Does Anderson or Fulmer have a chance? No, don't think either will get called up. I could see Montas, Wendleken (40 man decision), Brantly, Johnson, Webb (off the DL), and Leury. I then can see them DFA Smith, Guerra and Carroll if need be.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Aug 25, 2015 -> 04:23 PM) Yes. Plenty of pieces to get deals like that done. Exactly. Sign a stop gap for Fulmer in Latos to build his value up, sign Heyward (only if 1st round pick is protected), trade those prospects I mentioned for a 3B like Longoria, Seager, Frazier, and find someone to take on LaRoche or eat the money. Only 1 year left, preferably an NL team. Sale, Quintana, Latos, Rodon, Danks/Johnson CF Eaton LF Cabrera 1B Abreu 3B Longoria/Seager/Frazier RF Heyward DH Garcia SS Ramirez (Option picked up, call up Anderson later in year) C Flowers 2B Sanchez Soto, Shuck, Saladino, and FA on the bench

I like when Thompson plays. Only a few more days before September call ups. Hope to see more of the young guns play.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 25, 2015 -> 01:05 PM) I want Latos + compensation for Samardzija > Samardzija. I wonder if Latos would be willing to take a 1 year deal to up his value because he will only be 28 next season. Then, have a rotation of Sale, Quintana, Latos, Rodon, Danks/Johnson. Sign Heyward. Trade Montas, Micah, Hawkins, Davidson, and Danish for Seager and Taylor or Longoria and McGee.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Aug 25, 2015 -> 09:01 AM) I would not go after Upton or Heyward. Not in the business of giving up draft picks anymore. I'd like Fister though on a decent deal. Hopefully, they could move Danks' final year and go with Sale, Quintana, Fister, Rodon, and Erik Johnson. Would be a nice rotation. If we get a top 10 pick which would protect that first round pick, I definitely go after Upton or Heyward. If not, then I would not do it. I would give up the 2nd round pick because Sox will get a comp pick for Jeff as well. Adding Heyward or Upton doesnt block anyone from the minors, the moves improves this team greatly.

QUOTE (raBBit @ Aug 25, 2015 -> 01:52 AM) If the White Sox dip into FA market, I hope it's a #3/#4 starter who doesn't have any compensation attached. Position players are baaaad this offseason. Pitchers I'd be interested in that could come pretty cheap: Ian Kennedy, Mat Latos, Doug Fister Hitters wise, I'd definitely go after Jason Heyward or Justin Upton

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 24, 2015 -> 09:04 PM) I'm still in with "He doesn't get signed until the June 15 deadline for the draft pick compensation expires". Not a chance that happens. -

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 24, 2015 -> 02:37 PM) Quintana will be dealt. The problem is we usually trade or let go the wrong guy. Look at Santiago. Look at Mark Buehrle. Look at McCarthy before he got hurt. In the offseason maybe they could package Q and Danks and Micah, make somebody take Johnny's salary and we get one Puig and Ethier in return. I think the obvious trade is for Ethier and Puig. The question is what do we give up? I say Q, Danks and Micah. In 2 years, Santiago has a 2.1 WAR with the Angels. In 2 years, Eaton has a 4.9 WAR with the Sox. Stop it. This is according to fangraphs

Giving up McCarthy got us a very good Danks before he had shoulder surgery. I would of done the same thing resigning Danks over Buehrle as well. Danks was young and coming off a great year, just injuries got in the way. It's so easy to say the things you did in hindsight when they were definitely the right moves at the time. (The Eaton trade is a definite)

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 24, 2015 -> 08:50 AM) Meltzer like the finish. Thinks Heyman booked it. He also echoed my sentiments that Amell would have a better match than tough enough contestants. I liked Amell as well. Better than any other celebrity that has wrestled. Question now is, when does Rollins lose the US Championship now lol -

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 24, 2015 -> 07:31 AM) Videos surfaced of Taker collapsing at the top of the ramp as he left. Nobody is sure if it's selling or not because it wasn't referenced on the broadcast. I definitely think he broke a rib on the F5 through the announcer table. -
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 21, 2015 -> 01:18 PM) *rolls eyes* The Red Sox cannot and will not produce a package that is equal to or greater than Sale's enormous value. I think they have the best shot out of any team though. Bogaerts and Betts would start the deal off and add 4-5 more players after that.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 21, 2015 -> 01:14 PM) Sale untouchable, Rodon and Q near untouchable, Fulmer can't be dealt. If they decide to resign Shark, dangle EJ, Montas, Danish and others on the trade market. I agree with this. I'm only trading Rodon if its for Arenado. I'd love to add Longoria, Seager, or Frazier at 3B. I think they can be had without giving up Anderson.

Hansen looks like Webb. Tago's slider looks plus. -
QUOTE (shipps @ Aug 21, 2015 -> 12:57 PM) Montas is at best a set-up man or closer of the future. I personally don't see overwhelming value in that so if someone is offering up some serious offensive talent for him you bite at that for sure. At best a set up guy or closer? I think that's his floor. At his best, he can be a #2 starter.
