  1. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 09:17 AM) I disagree with this. The team cannot keep signing free agents with Qualifying Offers. I think Upton, Heyward, and probably Wieters are off the table. Do you sign Cespedes then? There are no other free agents that are worthy of paying because they will all be 30+ years old, so then you would have to trade your prospects for hitting. Do you want to do that to improve this offense?
  2. QUOTE (LDF @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 08:45 AM) while that is not a bad idea, i have some concerns with that. 1. sox loosing a draft pick 2. the cost of the contract 3. is there a position that is more needed than the needs of the team?? By gaining a draft pick for Jeff, I think I could suffer our 1st round pick on a hitter because the 2 I mentioned (Upton and Heyward), Upton will be 28 and Heyward will be 26. Sox have LaRoche and Danks coming off the books next year and Sox had major interest in Heyward before he got traded to the Cards this past off season, so I think it definitely could be realistic in going after him. I then would package AVI in a deal for a 3B or another pitcher.
  3. Can Anderson go again? If so, then Anderson, May, Hawkins, Barnum, Jaye, and Delmonico.
  4. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 08:39 AM) If you want to know more on Thompson, here's our detailed profile. Also, here's a little teaser - Trayce made a nice jump up our Top 30 that comes out this week. With the deadline past now, when is the prospect list coming out?
  5. I love Jeff but, I would take the comp pick and use that money on a hitter in the off season like Upton, Cespedes, or Heyward.
  6. Chris Cotillo ‏@ChrisCotillo 3m3 minutes ago Source: White Sox, Orioles, Rangers emerging as possibilities for recently DFA'd Danny Valencia
  7. Please take the series against the Yankees. I hate the Yankees. Hopefully Avi is at DH and Thompson is in RF.
  8. Zangari is also having a pretty good year down in AZL
  9. Considering how bad he was before, Peter Tago (now in AA) has been pretty damn good this season.
  10. QUOTE (LDF @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 06:41 AM) i like the list and i was really impress. i never thought that there was a nice group of nice looking prospects. i was mildly surprise that there was a couple, at least for me, that they are missing, in my opinion, several more that i am impress with. hitters - Jacob May, Tim Anderson. pitcher - Jordan Guerrero, Thad Lowry. now the reason, Anderson is putting up similar numbers he has since last yr, an avg of over 300. i believe this is an honorable mention. the pitchers are steay, but i will admit, the rookie league is outstanding with individual great performances. either way, you guys did a great job. I seriously cannot wait to get to follow Victor Velasquez, Johan Cruz, Seby Zavala, Jake Jarvis, and Antonio Rodriguez next year in Kanny.
  11. I hope he gets called up and drops 15 bombs in 2 months lol.
  12. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 2, 2015 -> 04:25 AM) Also, because when I'm drunk, I like to pat myself on the back, I think this is the best post I ever made on this website. I have a few of them! [this post is probably the worst post because I am now that guy that likes his own post on Facebook. I suck. But this stuff is still true!]s Where in the world have you been?
  13. Lloyd McClendon should be fired tomorrow.
  14. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Aug 1, 2015 -> 11:08 PM) July was a hot month on the farm, with a large number of strong performances on both sides of the ball. It was hard to narrow it down, but Dan found a way, and here are the Top White Sox Prospects of July. Who are you most excited about? Hitting wise, Alvarez intrigues me just because of his story. To have success with such little experience is pretty great. I like MJ, but I think he'll end up getting traded. Pitching, has to be Montas. Either in the bullpen or the rotation, I don't care really. I just want to see him soon.
  15. Was at the game today, crowd was fantastic. Awesome to see that park filled up. Danks was on

  17. Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 1m1 minute ago New York, USA no surprise, teams have checked back in on samardzija. chisox 3 1/2 out. still not that likely to deal him.
  18. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 08:41 AM) What's a normal age to start following a team as a die-hard? I'm 25 but my first season following the White Sox all the way through was the 2004 team. I guess I was a late bloomer. Been a fan of the White Sox out of the womb. But, became a die hard probably when I was 10 lol.
  19. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 10:05 AM) @jaysonst: Teams talking to #WhiteSox say they're struggling with how impact of Cespedes or Upton would impact roster. Already overloaded at OF/DH/1B Eat LaRoche's money, that simple. That would never happen though.
  20. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 10:04 AM) DFA Garcia Avi? They would send him to AAA before that happens. No way they get rid of him.
  21. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 09:22 AM) It's possible. Toronto is overloaded with bats Maybe Shark for Chris Colabello . He probably makes Avi look like a good fielder though I haven't checked. Hitting.312 .839 OPS .900 against RH's . Is 31, journeyman mostly ,having career year . Equally good against righties and lefties batting average the same . Doesn't walk much but 132 OPS+. As you suggested it's possible still to win without Shark but maybe Toronto would still like him or might want something else for Colabello. If we trade Shark though an extra reliever might be good too considering Johnson most likely won't pitch late into games like Shark. Keep Shark and still get Colabello then could try Johnson in the 5 spot and move Danks to long relief. Have Danks start once in a while to limit Johnson's and Rodon's innings. Also it helps Toronto even more who is our competitor for the WC. And giving up Colabello without Shark seems unlikely unless they want a few B level prospects to restock their farm a bit after the trades they already made giving up their prospects. Come on man, that is brutal.
