  1. QUOTE (Billness33 @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 04:13 PM) Bob Nightengale (USA TODAY's baseball columnist) is reporting the Sox are currently on the phone with Detroit. They're looking to get Cespedes and move Garcia... He didn't say anything about moving Garcia.
  2. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 04:08 PM) We'd probably have to take Upton's brother too. They play everywhere together now. Lol if that's the case they can take back LaRoche or Danks back as well.
  3. So, I'm thinking Sellers to AA, and Anderson is part of a trade for Frazier
  4. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 03:02 PM) Justin Sellers traded to White sox according to Chris Cotillo Hopefully for cash considerations
  5. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 03:00 PM) Why would we need 2 more outfielders? There's only space to play 3 at a time. Make one of them a DH
  6. Danish and Wheeler for Cespedes Avi, Danks, and Montas for Cargo
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 02:51 PM) His contract calls for him to be released at the end of the season. Teams releasing players cannot sign them again until May 15th. The team that winds up with Cespedes on the last day of the season will be his ex-team 5 days later. Can he request the release or does the team have to do it? I'm confused by that, sorry.
  8. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 02:49 PM) Would anyone give Detroit Avi back for a couple months of Cespedes? No. If so, but if they did or if you would, I would not add to the deal.
  9. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 02:47 PM) Trading for him would actually hurt the chances of signing him. Could go both ways. Positive, he likes it here with Aberu and Alexei as fellow Cubans. Negative, no draft pick connected to him and teams will likely overpay.
  10. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 02:39 PM) I know you were kidding, but that SoxNet account mentioned that too for some reason. Just because player so and so isn't in a lineup in late July, way too many people feel a need to make it out to mean something other than most baseball players don't play 162 games a year. You're very right but, it just so happens to be the day before the trade deadline lol. That said, I'm with you, probably just a day off.
  11. Bob Nightengale ‏@BNightengale 16s16 seconds ago The #WhiteSox are aggressively looking for a hitter, and checking in with everybody, including #Tigers Cespedes HERE WE GO
  12. Bruce and Frazier for Montas, Avi, Anderson, Davidson, Danks, and Danish
  13. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 02:35 PM) Ken Rosenthal ‏@Ken_Rosenthal 57s57 seconds ago Sources: #Padres progressing on multiple deals, with Ross a key piece. Moving him would signal concession in ’15. But looking at adding too. Maybe one is with us for Upton? As Upton just hit a 3 run bomb in the 9th to take the lead against the Mets. That said, don't see us giving up much for a rental like Upton.
  14. QUOTE (Frank_Thomas35 @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 01:58 PM) I really don't know much about Frazier don't really follow the national league. Has he had a good few years or really grown in popularity after this year winning the Derby etc? Frazier has been good for a few years now. Really has come into his own this year though.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 01:53 PM) Todd Frazier isn't in the Reds lineup tonight, so I assume he'll be playing for the WSox tomorrow. Six to midnight
  16. A Brett Lawrie and Josh Reddick deal makes sense for the Sox. Both could be long term fixtures to this team as Reddick will turn 29 next year and Lawrie will turn 26 next year. Reddick controlled for one more year after this, and Lawrie 2 years after this. Would a Avi, Davidson, Micah Johnson, and Montas for Reddick and Lawrie deal make sense?
  17. Jeff Passan ‏@JeffPassan 35s35 seconds ago To Dodgers: Wood, Latos, Morse, Avilan, Johnson, Peraza, Arroyo To Braves: Olivera, Paco, Bird, pick To Marlins: Brigham, Guzman, Araujo Holy balls that's a lot of players
  18. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 12:02 PM) Were there any rumors about the moves the Sox made this offseason? Samardzija's rumor felt like a month long. No rumors on Melky, Bonifacio, or Robertson though.
  19. After getting Tulo and Price, Jays system is still great, wow.
  20. Tigers get #1 prospect, #11, and #19 prospects in Jays system.
  21. Jerry Crasnick ‏@jcrasnick 27s27 seconds ago Boyd and Labourt are also in the David Price deal, source says. #BlueJays
  22. QUOTE (Sockin @ Jul 30, 2015 -> 11:57 AM) No Alford in the deal according to Buster. Wow, if they really only get Norris, I could live with that.
  23. It's ok, Tigers will be above average again next year and trade all these guys away
  24. Now that you guys mention it, I would love Josh Reddick as well. Shouldn't be as expensive as CarGo and we have good relations with Oakland/Beane.
