  1. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 09:02 PM) the hawks could have gotten rid of bickell and sharp and a total of 9.9 mil off the books before draft day. the next player to go would be steeger and his 2.2 mil. ref oduya, let the hawks do the trade and when he signs, then fine. until then, he is a fa. it is really simple. i am talking about real time situations. not what could happen. morin will dominate the ahl.... ok, in that statement, i really see how ........ well i won't finish this thought process. i am done with you. They definitely should of gotten rid of Sharp and Bickell at the draft, I agree with you there, Stan set the bar too high on Sharp I believe. Both Hawks beat writers, Chris Kuc and Mark Lazerus have tweeted that Oduya and Kruger are both waiting for the Hawks to clear cap space, essentially this means they already have agreed to terms. If Oduya wanted to leave, he could of the first day of free agency. Morin has nothing left to prove in the AHL, he's done well there. He's a fringe player (3rd liner on bad teams, 4th-13th forward on good teams) most likely, he has a good shot, just doesn't play defense at all. That's why he hasn't found success, especially with a team coached by Q.
  2. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 08:43 PM) Nice hit by Lexi. Do NOT try to steal here. Proved you wrong lol
  3. I'll be there for the ring promotion
  4. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 08:34 PM) Have either Hoffman or Pentecost played yet? Read the last post on the last page.
  5. Kruger and Oduya have basically agreed to deals with the Hawks. Its just a matter of time of trading Sharp and Bickell to do so to get that done, so it's on Stan now to get it done asap. I have Morin in the line up as the 13th forward or packaged in a deal with Bickell. He's not an AHL player because he'll dominate that, he's an NHLer, just not on this team most likely. What If the Hawks gave Saad 6 million, and still couldn't find takers for Sharp and Bickell? Saad was going to get an offer sheet, Hawks were afraid of that. So, instead of just getting draft picks, they got some proven talent to help fill some holes on the current roster because draft picks doesn't help the team win next year.
  6. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 07:36 PM) lolololo so the whole screw up during the draft and after, when the hawks could have gotten them both, and didn't b/c the hawks were asking for a better rtn. this whole thing could have been avoided esp in trading Saad, b/c the hawks again were asking for a hefty rtn. this doesn't make sense. Saad priced himself out of consideration for the Hawks. No way they could of paid that. Vladamir Tarasenko who scored 21 more points than Saad, in 5 less games, and is the same age, just got a 8 year 60 million dollar deal which = to 7.5 a year. Saad isn't close to his level and only making 1.5 million less. Look, I was shocked and disappointed Hawks traded Saad, but they did get a 2 line center locked up long term now who will be playing with Kane, and Dano who is 20 who could be just as good as Saad, especially if he is on the Toews/Hossa line which I think he will. At this point, I expect a deal for Sharp similar to what Leddy got. A pretty good prospect, and some AHL depth. Panarin-Toews-Hossa Dano-Anisomov-Kane Teuvo-Tikonrov-Versteeg Desjardins-Kruger-Shaw Morin/Tropp Keith-Seabrook Oduya-Hammer TVR-Johns Rundblad That's still a very good team.
  7. Coats and Davidson go back to back.
  8. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 06:01 PM) how, if they are not traded by now. also keep in mind what will be the rtn for them, then why are they not traded. Doesn't matter about the return at this point. The return is to get the 5.9 and 4.0 million cap hits off the books and have the young players take their spots.
  9. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 05:58 PM) if and i mean if sharp is traded. lets see what the rtn will be. i really don't see and i hope i am wrong, but bickell and steeger will not get traded. If they plan on getting Oduya and Kruger back, which sounds like it once they clear space. Sharp and Bickell are both gone.
  10. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 10:08 AM) but this system needs to fix the holes of the system. if the sox are trading, it is get players to fix the team as a rtn. False, you take the best available package no matter what position they play.
  11. QUOTE (Buehrlesque @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 10:03 AM) Judge is the guy for me. I doubt you're getting Severino anyway, and why waste your time. Exactly, but you start out with Severino and work your way from there. If Sanchez is the headliner of a Samardzija deal, I would be disappointed. If Samardzija pitches well against the Jays on Thursday, I really think they will overpay for him. Like Norris, Pentecost and Pompey
  12. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 10:00 AM) the biggest screw up, imo is when the FO took some time to have some sort of classes with RV.... wasn't that around the Balt series. it was like putting RV in the class of how to be a manager 101. that was when i started to think of him more than a puppet I thought this was going to happen right when they hired him.
  13. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 09:52 AM) So fire Robin, right? The Brewers and Padres firings of their managers prove that a managerial change doesn't spark a team. Brewers have gone hot lately, but the Padres are playing .333 ball since Bud Black firing. By no means am I saying that Robin is right for the job, just mentioning that firing people doesn't always spark teams.
  14. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 7, 2015 -> 09:48 AM) tor has a really good of young arms. however i like the yanks, if they start off will G Sanchez-cat in the rtn. I think Sanchez is a bit overrated. If the Yankees are calling, I'm starting out the conversation with Severino or Judge.
  15. We should rock Doubront. This is the reason the Jays are at 500 with that incredible offense. Because they're throwing out pitching like this tonight.
  16. http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/video?vid=478574147976 Talks about the Sox at the 3 minute mark. It's about Samardzija and the Blue Jays. Morosi makes it seem like the Jays are desperate for SP and really want Shark. I really think they will overpay for him.
  17. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 10:28 PM) Cena is doing the best work of his career, no question. He's botching a lot of these innovative moves that he's trying to do though, he just needs to stop with that. And Cesaro is obviously incredible, that goes with out saying. When Cena hits that springboard stunner cleanly, I go nuts. I absolutely love that move.
  18. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 10:05 PM) The Pope hell yeah. He threw 3 scoreless innings this past weekend. So much movement on every pitch. It's insane.
  19. QUOTE (scs787 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 10:16 PM) How is no one talking about this main event? Incredible. Say what you will about Cena but when he's paired with guys like Cesaro, Owens, Punk, and all my other Indy home boys, he helps put on one helluva match...I get more and more respect for him as time goes on. Plz keep pushing Cesaro. Cena's arsenal has grown and so much more entertaining since becoming US champion. He has really been fantastic. As for Cesaro, I absolutely love him and think he deserves to get a shot at World Heavyweight Championship
  20. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 07:27 PM) Anderson HR Davidson 0-1 2BB Drabek looking good through 6 innings. Davidson now has 42 walks this season. That is pretty impressive.
  21. Raw is in Chicago tonight. Crowd chanting Cleveland sucks to Miz lol
  22. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20150706 Charlotte- Drabek Birmingham- Blackmar Winston Salem- Guerrero Kannapolis- Adams AZL- TBA GF is off.
  23. I wonder if we can somehow get Norris from the Jays. I don't care if he is a lefty. Get all of them!
  24. QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jul 6, 2015 -> 11:12 AM) I'd like a package headlined by Hoffman or Pentecost and maybe also Devon Travis. Samardzija and Beckham for Travis, Reid-Foley, and Pentecost
  25. Ben Nicholson-Smith ‏@bnicholsonsmith 27m27 minutes ago Jeff Samardzija being "strongly pursued" by #BlueJays, @BNightengale writes. Wonder what we could get out of the Blue Jays. I think they could overpay.
