Could the Sox get proper value in trading Sale?
GGajewski18 replied to Real's topic in Pale Hose Talk
http://sportsmockery.com/2015/06/chicago-c...for-chris-sale/ I know it's Sports Mockery, but look at the trade proposals they suggested lmao. -
Hahn also said that the trade chatter has picked up.

Well you can bold Flores and Barrow since they are on Great Falls roster. -

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 17, 2015 -> 10:21 AM) Justin Jirschele will fix everything. Newest Sox legacy now hitting coach in Great Falls. I played against him in the D3 Regionals at Wisconsin Whitewater my freshman year when he was a senior. It was really cool to see he was in the Sox organization.

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 16, 2015 -> 09:31 PM) What does that mean "he had no future with this organization?" Phegley and Semien would be our 3rd and 4th best hitters on this team, limited as they are. Even if Ravelo is blocked, you trade him for value, not a 1 year rent. The Sox get shut out by the likes of Charlie Morton, so I'm of the mind that they could find room for guys who can hit. As for Williams, his moves from Quentin trade 1 until whenever Hahn took over were abysmal, with only an exception or two. And most of the moves this winter were of the KW variety. So I can't blame solely Hahn. Like I said, of course no guarantees, but the Sox intention was/is very much of extending Shark. Pretty sure he was the guy targeted at the deadline last year before the price got too expensive (Russell) -
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 16, 2015 -> 10:29 PM) Send down Rodon while we're at it. Lol dude, you have been grilling him since his one bad start. Calm down. He was really really good in the 3-4 starts before that.

Should the Sox make an example out of someone?

Noesi would be my first guess. Bonifacio would be my next guess. For a real statement, get rid of Flowers and see how Sale reacts. -

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 16, 2015 -> 09:08 PM) I can't say that trading 4 young players for a rent, and wasting the opportunity of not selling a single player high were great moves. Hahn's one confirmed great move was the Peavy trade, and in that case, there was a tradeable commodity and KW was involved. I have no problem giving him a chance without Williams. But this org. needs a real cleansing. Phegley had no future with the organization, neither did Ravelo because of Abreu and LaRoche. Only real value they gave up in my opinion is Semien and he has 21 errors in 63 games. Sox had and still might have intentions of extending Shark. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2015 -> 08:50 PM) Really needs to be changes prior to tomorrow's game. This lack of production is inexcusable. What a waste of resources by Hahn this past offseason. All great moves at the time in my opinion. They just haven't performed to career numbers. -

18 Ks for Charlotte pitching tonight. Onelki Garcia has been fantastic in AAA since his promotion.

QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jun 16, 2015 -> 07:33 PM) Noesi- DFA Danks - goes the Edwin Jackson route Johnson - takes Danks place Beat you to it

Delmonico with a HR and a walk in Kanny debut. Davidson 1-1 with a BB. EJ is probably done. 6 innings, 3 hits, 3 walks, 11 Ks, 0 runs. Sale, Shark, Quintana, Rodon, Johnson. DFA Noesi, send Danks to the bullpen.

QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 16, 2015 -> 06:24 PM) Base running All started with Alexei because he was actually trying to pull the ball the whole at bat and hits a little nubber in front of home. -
QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 16, 2015 -> 01:24 PM) and for god sake, he didn't take the invite. nor did the sox fixed the starting rotation and on top of that, the rotation needed a rookie to come in, who is not yet ready, and i mean fully ready. pls remember, he was still an unknown factor coming into this season. the bottom line, for god sake the FO is playing roulette and betting on the 0 and double 00. He did take the invite, just didn't make the club out of ST. Fix the starting rotation? Hahn added Shark, at the time looked like a great move, combine that with Sale and Q didn't get off to a great start up until the last couple weeks. Danks is Danks, and Noesi was coming off some success in the 2nd half of last season and earned that #5 spot. Problem is Danks is still Danks, Shark has not worked out, Noesi is a DFA candidate right now, and Sale and Q weren't exactly that good until the last month or so. In terms of Rodon, he's ready, did you not see the the last 3-4 starts before yesterday's? He was simply amazing in those starts. Everyone is allowed to have a bad game.

Cardinals investigated for hacking the Astros

I would figure a very hefty fine and the loss of some draft picks (possibly for many years?). Hopefully this means no more supplemental picks for them as well, as they never get any in the first place. -
QUOTE (Vance Law @ Jun 15, 2015 -> 03:58 PM) I just hope the team goes one way or the other over the next month. If Melky, Alexei, Eaton, and even Sanchez (hitting worse than several pitchers) regress to the mean that should be enough offense to get back above .500 with the starting rotation doing what it should be doing. If instead you think Melky, Alexei, Sanchez, can be historically bad for an entire season, well, then we'll likely have dug a deep enough hole to be sellers in July. Shark will go and flipping LaRoche would become a potentially decent idea. We'd add player(s), free up money and just need to land one of: Chris Davis Jason Heyward Justin Upton Y. Cespedes Ben Zobrist Plug Davis in at DH or improve the outfield with one of those guys and push Melky to DH/OF. We're then back in basically the same situation as 2015 but now with hopeful improvement from Melky, Micah, additional players from Shark/LaRoche trades hopefully a new C and/or 3B, Beck/ E Johnson or a FA (Shark!) in the rotation with Fulmer knocking on the door. I'm a huge Justin Upton fan, I would love him on the Sox.

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jun 15, 2015 -> 12:42 PM) Astros don't have near the prospects to even start a conversation for Sale. I don't think they have any elite ones left For Q yes, but probably every ML team has the prospects for him. If the Astros asked about Sale, the price would start with Correra and McCullers and go on from there. -
http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?s...mp;ymd=20150615 Birmingham- Barnette Winston Salem- Brennan Kannapolis- Adams Charlotte is off. B-Ham playing right now. Edit: Tanner Banks to GF. Jose Brito to Kanny. Brandon Brennan activated off DL and starting tonight.
