  1. Carroll is way more effective out of the bullpen as the long man/emergency starter.
  2. Hope Noesi is alright, he did save a run though.
  3. I have it on channel 200 for comcast. Hope that helps for you guys.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ May 9, 2015 -> 11:55 AM) So...lose the first, win the second? Everybody in agreement? Ok then. No. Sweep them.
  5. Cy Chen is back in the show. Indians purchased his contract and DFA'd Anthony Swarzak.
  6. Does being the 26th man waste an option?
  7. Hypothetically speaking, say the Sox are in the race in September, do you guys think they would waste a roster spot on Walker just to run like what the Royals did with Gore last year?
  8. Davidson 1-2 with 2BBs. That's encouraging. Cleto has been untouchable this year. Engel and Peter continue to hit. Dykstra got lit up tonight. Lowry continuing to have a great season.
  9. QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ May 8, 2015 -> 09:25 AM) Kiley's first mock has Sox taking Jay: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/a-far-too-e...mlb-mock-draft/ I would not mind any of those 3 players listed. I'm so giddy they're going hard after Jay.
  10. http://www.d1baseball.com/features/golden-...ight-tyler-jay/ Here's a pretty good article on Jay.
  11. Sox should light Lobstein today. But everyone knows, of course, that won't happen.
  12. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 7, 2015 -> 11:29 AM) SoxPride is going to like this from the Keith Law chat: Justin (Chicago) Rumor is the White Sox are targeting college pitchers with their first pick. What are your thoughts on organizations who target only a specific group of players? Specifically to the White Sox, they really have not developed a hitter forever. Do some orgs just feel as though they have a better strength and developing position players or pitchers, so they target them more? Klaw (1:23 PM) I think the White Sox have such a good track record developing pitchers I wouldn't question them taking another one - it's a clear core competence at this point. I've heard them specifically on Tyler Jay at 8. Oh, you know me too well Jimmy! I'm super excited about this.
  13. QUOTE (LDF @ May 7, 2015 -> 12:42 PM) good one. and i agree about what you said. in the beginning of the season, an article mention of Jay being stretch out as a start as a couple of others. however he reverted back to rp. something about this secondary pitches never fully developed to help him as a sp. with that, i am still questioning the idea of it. His secondary pitches are plus. He should be in Illinois' rotation but their rotation is stacked as it is.

The kid has 3 plus pitches. As a Sox fan, GET ALL THE LEFTIES.
  15. Noah's regression has been amazing this season. 1 year left on his deal, I say trade him in the summer.
  16. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 6, 2015 -> 10:58 AM) Keith Law has a piece on ESPN about Prep Catcher Stephenson possibly going to Arizona at #1: http://espn.go.com/blog/keith-law/insider/post?id=3890 Some other highlights: Arizona could go against consensus with Stephenson or Garrett Whitley. Houston wants 2 position players and he has them with Dansby Swanson and Daz Cameron. They aren't as high on Rodgers as everyone else. Colorado wants pitching at #3 and Law has them taking Dillon Tate. Texas has been linked to Walker Buehler but he thinks they'd take Brendan Rodgers Links Kolby Allard to Twins at #6 He says from multiple sources that Alex Bregman won't fall past 7 to Boston Law says that White Sox want college pitching at 8 and lists Funkhouser, Jay, and Kirby Cubs interested in HS OF Trenton Clark among others. In the words of Daniel Bryan, YES! YES! YES! I would love that
  17. I honestly think Zayn hurt his shoulder as he was making his entrance into the ring. He was super pumped up obviously and I think he threw out his shoulder getting the crowd going on the steps. Did anybody else see what I'm talking about?
