http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/v/varvaan01.shtml Chris Cotillo @ChrisCotillo 2m2 minutes ago #Braves likely will look to deal Anthony Varvaro very soon after designating him for assignment. Could be a good buy low candidate? He's 30 years old, but he's had some solid numbers the last 2 years.

Nester Molina has signed with the Red Sox.

My thoughts on TLC Dolph vs Haper: By far the best match. It was simply amazing. Usos vs Mizdow: Dumb match. Dumb way to end a title match. Absolutely love Mizdow though. He's hilarious. Big Show vs. Rowan: Pointless. Cena vs Rollins: I really liked this match, plus I can't see Rollins win with his goon squad. Ryback vs Kane: Eh. Chairs match was the wrong type of match for these 2. Tables would of been better. Bella vs Lee: I want to marry Nikki Bella Rusev vs Swagger: I love Swagger for some reason lol and I really wanted to see him win, but this match was pointless. Rusev isn't even that good in the ring. Ambrose vs Wyatt: 2nd best match of the night. Absolutely loved that they made it the last match. I have a feeling with it being last and showing off their skills, this might propel both into title contention, -
Did the sox hit all of their offseason targets

You know what has me thinking, I don't know if its all that important, but I noticed that none of these deals are long enough that could hamper Sale and Quintana's next extensions in 5 years. Maybe besides Samardzija, pending an extension. So I think this is a great off season with moves that help us win now, but not alter the real key pieces of this team. -
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 03:36 PM) My original question was "Where does this money come from", and bucket replied "Corresponding roster move." That's why I think it might be John Danks. That's why I think its both Danks and Viciedo are going to be traded.

Chuck Garfien @ChuckGarfien 10m10 minutes ago Hawk Harrelson with some bold predictions. And says #WhiteSox aren't done making moves. http://bit.ly/1yR3lVi ” Hawk hinting at a couple more moves? Interesting lol. I'm thinking Castro.

I would love if they traded Viciedo and Danks and used that money for Bonifacio and a guy like Morrow/Beachy/Medlan
-
QUOTE (Knuckles @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 12:15 AM) If Sox push Danks, who in the minors able to compete for 5th starter job and being competitive in MLB ? NOT counting Rodon. Considering that would be like trading Danks for Melky, I think Hahn would sign a starter cheap like Morrow/Beachy/Medlan with the little cash we had left reportedly. In house options, Erik Johnson, Chris Beck, Erik Surkamp?

QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 12:11 AM) Very excited! We like striking at midnight Yeah, I'd rather it be during the day. I can't sleep now!

If its true about the 3/45 contract. That is the perfect amount of years. Just turned 30, so we won't be committed into a deep deal with an aging player. I wouldn't be mad about a 4th year either. Incredible.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 14, 2014 -> 12:01 AM) This year, we have Sale, Abreu, Samardzija, Robertson, Melky, Quintana, even Eaton or LaRoche as possible all-stars. Crazy. Alexei was an all star too.

Just so everyone knows its true. Milky retweeted Eaton's tweet!!!

It's like Hahn wants to take all my money. My god I am thrilled.

QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 13, 2014 -> 11:40 PM) Corresponding roster move. As in? Danks???? I really hope its not Quintana
-
QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 13, 2014 -> 11:37 PM) KW has a soft spot for Levine. Don't ask me why. So its true Bucket?

QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Dec 13, 2014 -> 01:03 PM) And from Klaw chat. Surprised to see Law say Montas has ace stuff. Thats very encouraging.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Dec 13, 2014 -> 10:41 AM) I predict Viciedo gets traded to the Marlins and beomes a 1B. That is definitely an option I have not thought about. Very interesting DA. Wonder if they have any other prospects they've given up on.
-
QUOTE (ChiSoxJon @ Dec 12, 2014 -> 09:34 PM) Next Move: Shop Danks for some prospects, clears cap, dead weight, and adds prospects to our system to which we just lost a few low level guys, add a veteran OFer, and look around for a young cather We are not going to get any sort of good prospects for Danks unless we eat some of the money, and thats even a stretch. We have Flowers, Brantly, and Nieto all with MLB experience. In order of needs: Left field, Relief pitcher, Depth starter, Third baseman, Catcher.

QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 12, 2014 -> 05:32 PM) if the previous deal is for 3 yrs, then why not offer 3 yrs and more salary. I don't think he cares about the money. He wants at least one more year.
-
QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 12, 2014 -> 05:26 PM) a player i like for the sox is Emilio Bonifacio, he can platoon in the outfield. I've wanted him since the beginning of the off season. He would be the perfect bench guy with starts at 2B, 3B, and the OF.
-
QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Dec 12, 2014 -> 05:14 PM) Also saw that I think the royals are only comfortable going 2-3 years so yes let's try to sign him I agree. Hahn and KW has gone this far, sign him and he legitimizes our 1-6. 4 years/55-60 million

QUOTE (Joshua Strong @ Dec 12, 2014 -> 02:33 PM) I was thinking what would be the perfect draft scenario for the Sox. This is what I came up with: The Sox draft Michael Matuella with the 8th overall pick. He projects to be a high upside starting pitcher with a fastball that tops out at 97mph and grade projects to be a 70 on the grading scale and three other plus pitches. He could be a fixture in the rotation or if that fails he could be a high upside reliever (If the Sox are making a playoff push, maybe he could join the bullpen and help the Sox out a la Brandon Finnegan.). Since he is a college player, maybe the Sox could sign him below slot. The Sox already have an extra $1 Million to spend. In the third and fourth rounds the team will go overslot to sign some high upside high school talent like: OF Kyle Tucker, C Wyatt Cross, 3B Ryan Mountcastle, OF Mitchell Hansen, and P Nolan Watson. That would be the perfect draft scenario. Side note: I was also thinking about what the team's biggest organizational weakness is and it's pretty obivious, the Sox need to start developing impact bats across the diamond. I'd love that if Manuela fell down to us, but barring a bad year, looks like he's a consensus top 3 pick.
