  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 15, 2014 -> 09:23 PM) Why is Basto there again? Replaced Ravelo. Basto did play well this last season. Just needs to find a position on the field, and play at least average there.
  2. I definitely agree. If he can regain form, Sox would have some rotation issues (but could never have too many), yet use some as trade bait. It'll be interesting how he does next year. Hope for us and the Sox, he's back to his two years ago self.
  3. I'd love to add Nick Markakis. I think he would be a great 2 hitter. Gets on base, doesn't strike out much, durable, great defensively and a left handed bat. Add on that he will not cost a draft pick.
  4. I have been a huge fan of Fulmer since last year. He's number one on my big board right now.
  5. https://www.facebook.com/notes/chicago-whit...141014_33642117 Interesting no Chris Sale.
  6. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 10:09 PM) Wow. One if the worst endings to a promising match I've ever seen That was awful.
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 03:39 PM) Willie Young is leading the league in sacks with 7...never thought I'd see that happen. And Paea has 4. Both are top 10 in the league in sacks. Paea has had a great season so far.
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 10:41 AM) At this point, it's true. The Sox still have Davidson, so we can hold out hope that he improves next year, but there was nothing incorrect about that statement at all. I understand, the power was still there, if he can manage to hit 250-270 like he has before, still think Davidson has a future with the Sox.

  10. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 10:30 AM) Love the trade - admittedly held out a little too much optimism for Hector - but Eaton will be a south side hero before too long if he can stay on the field. The Davidson trade was really bad, however, and almost makes up for it. Not because we gave up anything special in Reed, but because we got nada for a 40 save closer. RH may need to do better than 50-50 this offeseason. Ugh, I'm not even going to start....
  11. Justin Millar @Justinmillar1 · Oct 10 #RedSox are 'early favorites' for James Shields http://sbnation.com/e/6724420
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 10, 2014 -> 01:07 PM) This is also interesting. The Dodgers are looking to dump about $50 million in payroll this year. Mike Petriello ‏@mike_petriello Yes, I heard a report that LAD payroll would be ~$190m next year. No, it doesn't seem remotely possible. They're at that now, before arb. That's a lot of moving pieces. I wonder...
  13. Huge trade this was. Loved it then, love it now. Eaton is part of the core and now has become a fan favorite.
  14. I wouldn't mind getting Peavy and then flipping him at the deadline.
  15. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 12, 2014 -> 07:22 AM) Jerry Meyer tweets Thomas is strong to OSU with SMU a possibility. It "doesn't look good" for Illinois. I saw that. i wonder what his "Intel" is even with ET saying that Illinois is his leader not 3 days ago.
  16. Basto 0-3 Anderson 2-2 R, SB. Also made an error. Bassit 2IP 2H 1ER 0BB 3K
  17. I hope De Aza ends it on a walk off lol.
  18. He'll take the job and do us a favor and give us Puig and Urias
  19. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 10, 2014 -> 12:10 PM) There is a Tribune article saying Cooper is making a rare appearance at the AFL, as the Sox try to accelerate the progress of their younger pitchers to use as bullpen pieces. The most interesting part was the quote from Bassit, who seems to WANT to be a reliever. Maybe Montas too, because he has to be protected on the 40 man this year.
  20. QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 9, 2014 -> 09:36 PM) Free agency-generally filing was the first 10 days after the World Series, and then have it. That may have changed, and it's quicker. Winter Meetings are in San Diego - Dec 8-11 Thank you.
  21. When does free agency begin and when are the winter meetings this year?
  22. Montas 3IP 2R 1ER 4H 1BB 3K Anderson 1-2 K Basto 1-1 R
