Seth Lakso @SethLakso · 13m #cltknights gamer - Matt Davidson: "I’m never going to act like I’ve figured it out again in my whole life."

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 30, 2014 -> 09:23 PM) He better be. The power is still very encouraging with him.

You guys think Davidson will be a September call up?

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Jun 30, 2014 -> 07:02 PM) I think we'd all be, but the problem is the Astros may still sell him as a 130 wRC+ catcher. Given what they asked for Bud Norris & Lucas Harrell, I don't see them being realistic with their demands for Castro, not when he's one of their best chips. I still think Grandal makes more sense for us. He's younger and under team control for an additional season, plus I think his bat projects better for our lineup. He won't be easy to get, regardless of his down year so far, but maybe a package centered around Davidson (assuming a rebound), Beck, and an A ball wild card would be something they'd consider in the offseason. You don't give up on Davidson yet, Grandal has had a bad season, you buy low, that would not cost Davidson. QUOTE (TaylorStSox @ Jun 30, 2014 -> 08:15 PM) Garcia is naturally a fat guy. He's fat right now. He's a groundball hitter. He relies on speed. He has a flat swing and doesn't get much lift. It's a recipe for a bust. That's why the Tigers gave him up for a no bat SS. Completely disagree. Tigers were desperate at the time for a SS with aspirations of winning a World Series. Their outfield was already set and at the time Iglesias had a hot bat. You cannot call him a bust with 30 plate appearances this year...

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 30, 2014 -> 08:06 AM) Meh, Jon Heyman is New York lingo for Phil Rogers. That guy throws a lot of stuff at the wall I disagree, I think he's pretty good. To the topic, what teams did he say would be interested in those players and I definitely think we should sell. Everyone knows this isn't a playoff team yet so trade the pieces you have now that have value and set yourself up for the future.

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 29, 2014 -> 02:35 PM) Sox never have a clean 9th. That was a tough play. That hop was insane on Leury.

Who do you most want to keep after the Core 4?

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 29, 2014 -> 08:47 AM) Some of the more interesting names on the market right now (among the hitters) are Cuddyer, Willingham, Seth Smith, Gerardo Parra and Ben Zobrist. Also, Nolan Reimold's about to be released by the Orioles. Career .766 OPS, unfortunately not left-handed. 29 years old. Cuddyer is on the 60 day DL. -
When is Engel going to get called up back up Kanny?

Davidson 1-1 R Micah Johnson 1-2 3B and 3 RBIs and a SB May 2-2 with a 3B Hawkins 1-1 R DeMichele 1-2 R avg up to 261 Trey 1-1 Leyer ERA now under 3 so far. Someone mentioned that they could see Hawkins, Anderson and even May up to AA next year. I also would like to see DeMichele go up as well. Ravelo up tp AAA next year. Hayes up to AA. Rondon and Trey in high A. That's how I would do it if all goes on plan
