  1. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 07:47 PM) If the outfielder calls it, the infielder is supposed to yield. They both called it at the same time, you can see it on replay. Definitely not De Aza's fault. And Davis was definitely out of the baseline on the pick off.
  2. keithlaw ‏@keithlaw 2m The White Sox have essentially put an upper bound on what they can give Carlos Rodon by signing picks 2-10.
  3. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 03:57 PM) Didnt Montes want a seven figure bonus? I believe so.
  4. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 03:52 PM) Adams loves that hat. Lol probably his only Sox hat.
  5. QUOTE (knightni @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 03:43 PM) http://www.google.com/url?url=http://chica...iKRFoxoXJ5wsQLw Tanner Banks is one. Thank you, I see we have others bolded that aren't on that list like Fish and Sprague. They said they were both signing right?
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 03:39 PM) I'm really surprised we went over slot with Fry (even though it wasn't by much). They could be real high on him.
  7. Now the quest is to find the 7 others that we don't have bolded on the first page.

  9. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 12:57 PM) Reid-Foley was the guy I wanted when we were on the clock. It'll be interesting to watch them develop because at the least, the Sox had to have considered Reid-Foley as he was the consensus BPA at the time. Totally different prospects though, maybe the Sox were shooting for ceiling with Adams or maybe they just stuck to their affinity for big athletic righties. In Reid-Foley's case, the ceiling isn't as high but their is serious praise for his control and breaking ball. There was major sign ability issues with Reid-Foley though. At least that's what Mayo and Callis said when he got drafted.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 01:16 PM) The info finally trickles down to Chuck. So sad. What teams are interested in Beckham? Cubs still? What could we realistically get for him?
  11. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jun 11, 2014 -> 12:06 PM) Last I spoke with both of them, Bassitt was targeting an ASB timeframe for return (which is pretty soon, if he meant the minor league one), and Lopez was "May or June", so should be soon. Bassitt info is from a couple weeks ago, and he just recently started throwing I think. Lopez I haven't talked with since April. Brennan has started his throwing program, I'd think he shows up maybe in July (I haven't spoken with him). Cose had significant back surgery (I talked with him around March or April just before his surgery), is almost assuredly out for the full year, and may not come back at all. That's sad about Cose. He was a sleeper prospect of mine. What did he do to his back that needed surgery? And where do you think Brennan and Bassit start their seasons? Brennan in Kanny and Bassit in Birmingham?
  12. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jun 10, 2014 -> 09:41 PM) I have a feeling Hawkins will always be a .250/.260 hitter but with his power that could be ok. My thoughts exactly.
  13. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 10, 2014 -> 08:49 PM) Olacio pitched the first 3 Olacio is with the Dash. This was Robinson Leyer on Kanny.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 10, 2014 -> 08:24 PM) Jim Callis ‏@jimcallisMLB 1h 7th-rder Jake Peter agrees w/@WhiteSox on $203,800 (full value at 198). Creighton, 2B/SS for now, also to 96 mph on mound. @MLBDraft Is he gonna pitch or hit professionally?
  15. Leyer having a nice outing so far 4IP 2H 0BB 6K
  16. Anderson 1-3 May 2-3 Hawkins 2-4 2 RBIs Wendelken 7IP 3H 1ER 1BB 3Ks. Pitching well and lowering that ERA to 3.77 and a 7 inning complete game.
  17. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 10:59 PM) as much as I hate to admit it, it was nothing but a salary dump. my feeling, that was the best offer any team was going to offer. I know, I'm just saying hypothetically. What we could of got of Rios' caliber
  18. I know it gets talked about a lot around here, but I just had a thought in my mind. If the Rios trade wasn't all about salary relief, what do you guys think we could of gotten from the Rangers for Rios?
  19. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Jun 9, 2014 -> 10:47 PM) I'd urge caution on anyone expecting Nieto to be much better, he's hitting worse than Flowers with a higher BABIP and has a BB:K ratio of nearly 1:18. To be expected coming from high-A of course, but don't expect much out of him if his game time increases. You're exactly right, but I just wanna see Nieto get more of a shot. Flowers is doing nothing and gotta remember that Nieto is getting around 6 ABs a week if that. Very hard to be successful, especially being a rookie and not playing above A ball.
  20. Flowers is at a 38% K rate. I wanna see more of Nieto to be honest.
