Not necessarily pertinent to today's slate of action, but Trey Michalczeski is moving away from the singles and walks hitter he had been in the early going. 9 XBH in his last ten games (6 2B, 3B, 2HR). Hitting .382 with an OPS of 1.227 during that span. .286/.373/.437/.810 slash on the year. His splits, as a switch hitter, are nearly identical despite a small sample size batting righty. I am really excited about getting really excited about this kid. He is profiling as a Chase Headley type and I love the fact that he's still pretty athletic as third-baseman. I'd be really interested in seeing some scouts touch on his defense.

Andre Wheeler is throwing for Kanny today. He's quietly been great ever since he was drafted last year. He'll be 23 in September so it'd be good to see him get challenged soon.
I've been high on him since the beginning of the year. I think he has earned himself a promotion.
