  1. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 03:56 PM) Plus he made good pitches to Urittia and Markakis. Not sure why Gillaspie was so in for Urittia, I didn't know the guy was a bunt threat and De Aza on Markakis's chip shot, yeesh. Exactly, besides Weiters everything was hit softly
  2. QUOTE (bbilek1 @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 03:54 PM) Seriously? Root for your team and if they lose well, it doesn't really matter and were moving towards a better draft pick. These jeers aren't even funny anyways. I feel the same way. Thank you
  3. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 03:49 PM) Addison Reed is not a closer. Just stop. He now has the same amount of blown saves as Mariano Rivera, not to mention that his defense have blown 2 of those saves. Averages a K an inning and a whip right above 1
  4. 40 man roster now at 39. Another call up on the way?
  5. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Sep 7, 2013 -> 10:28 AM) Suck on it, Cubs! We're worse than YOU!! I still find it comical that with how bad the Sox have been this year, they still almost have a better record than the Cubs
  6. If we trade Quintana to Toronto. We better be getting something more than Lawrie. I would do Quintana for Lawrie, Albert Tirado, Dalton Pompey and a lower level pitcher.
  7. Petricka looks like he's earning his spot in the pen for next year. Hopefully Webb can too
  8. QUOTE (flavum @ Sep 6, 2013 -> 07:53 PM) Thompson 2-rbi double., 4-0 He got hot at the right time. Love to see that Thompson is doing well when it matters the most
  9. Only interesting thing for me is watching Leury Garcia. I want to see him get consistent at bats along with Semien
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 09:12 PM) One of the analysts did, can't remember if it was BP. And others had as well, hinted there was a possibility there. But he's added refinement of offspeed pitches and control now, so he may be a starter candidate going forward. He will be 25 already next year. Since he has dominated AA, start him off in Charlotte ?
  11. Bassitt allowing one earned over 6 innings with 8 K's. Is this kid a possible pro prospect?
  12. Thompson with a HR. Barons lead 1-0
  13. Why isn't Jacobs playing?
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 09:59 PM) Johnson threw 4 different pitches tonight, with them ranking IMO 1- slider 2- fastball 3- curve 4- changeup It was nice to see someone who's supposed to throw in the low 90s actually hit that mark and not in the high 80s Did he have a cutter also or was that just a hard slider? It was hitting 87-88
  15. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Sep 4, 2013 -> 06:52 PM) s***, I missed Semien's AB whilst I was getting a police report filed. How was the hit, where was is it? Fastball? Blooper into right on a change up low and away and out of the zone. It was a 2-2 count and a great piece of hitting.
  16. 2nd time through the order will be key for Johnson. Everyone relax
  17. Oh my. That change up Sale threw on that last pitch was just plain filthy
  18. QUOTE (GreenSox @ Sep 2, 2013 -> 04:31 PM) Axe looks finished. But Ventura leaving him in to give up 8 hits and 2 walks over 2 innings is amateur hour. Ventura had to see all 8 hits and 2 walks to decide he didn't have it? It's not amateur hour. It's called not using the whole bullpen with 27 straight days with games.
  19. It's amazing that Purcey's ERA is under 2 when he averages a walk an inning lol
  20. Petricka looking very good. Nothing hit hard. Jamming every Yankees hitter. Has retired 8 straight.
  21. DeMichele 1-5 3 K's Hawkins 1-2 with 2 BBs Wendelken 2 innings, 4 hits, 1 ER and 2 Ks May 2-4 with a HR and 2 RBIs Anderson and Barnum both 0-4 Micah Johnson 1-4 Walker and THompson both 0-4 Winiarski another shutout inning. 10 innings with 15 Ks so far with AA Semein 1-3 with 2B, R Wilkins 2-4 with 2B, RBI Sanchez 2-3 with RBI Heath with a good year, he could get a call up since he's already on the 40 man.
