  1. Would love JB Bauskakaus and Evan Skog
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 07:50 PM) Cesaro was incredible in that match. Owens and Jericho to win belts tonight? Watching raw now, Cesaro was phenomenal per usual in that match.

  4. QUOTE (steveno89 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 04:37 PM) I don't really like the Marlins system very much as a match for the Sox A low 1st round pick and Kolek could entice me.
  5. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:21 AM) That's seriously overvaluing Abreu. If the Sox couldn't get Dahl + Rodgers for Q, then you are assuming that they would get Dahl for Abreu which flat out isn't happening. The one thing we should be learning this offseason is that teams aren't going to move guys they are counting on this year for the Sox assets. Dahl is going to be playing everyday for the Rockies this year. I'll be stunned if the Rockies move him. Where's he going to play? Why are they looking at Trumbo? 0 chance Desmond stays at first.
  6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:04 AM) Agree with this. Kizer has the highest ceiling. Trubisky has only started 1 season and Watson is being over-analyzed. DE Jonathan Allen and Patrick Mahomes in the first two rounds would have be gitty. The DL would be insane. Hicks (who needs an extension)- Goldman- Allen Then you still have McPhee, Young and Floyd on the outside. Woof. (I'm assuming Houston is cut)
  7. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:09 AM) Didn't the Marlins check in on Gonzalez last July? Maybe we can package Gonzalez and Robertson together. I believe you are right. Their current rotation is Chen, Conley, Volquez, Koehler, and Urena. Is Gonzalez really much of an upgrade?
  8. QUOTE (ChiSox59 @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:04 AM) Quintana AND Abreu for Dahl and Rodgers? No thanks. I'd need at 2 out of three of Tapia, McMahon and Murphy in addition to those 2. Not even that ChiSox. If Quintana AND Abreu are going, i'm requesting Dahl, Rodgers, Hoffman +2 lottery tickets
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 11:00 AM) Agreed. If there's anyone who is most likely to get traded before Christmas, it's Robertson. Agreed. I think it'll come down to Washington and Miami for Robertson. I would not be shocked if Miami offered Garrett, Kolek, or Castillo for Robertson because Miami lol
  10. Trubinsky or Kizer and I'm good. If both go before 4, take best D available and go Mahomes in round 2
  11. QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Dec 13, 2016 -> 10:13 AM) Hahn really does hold the cards. Two comparable trades have set the market, and Lunhow doesn't really have a ton of other options. What this is setting up for IMO, is a much deeper & stronger minor league package, once Hahn lets go of Musgrove. Lunhow has Danny Duffy and Yordano Ventura available to take him to the playoffs *laughing hysterically writing this*
  12. QUOTE (Con te Giolito @ Dec 12, 2016 -> 04:46 PM) http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/prospect-re...ancisco-giants/ Take a look. The Los Angeles Dodgers it is not. I'd target Arroyo and Beede easily. Their system is much to be desired, so I think we can definitely get a couple of their top prospects.
  13. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 06:54 PM) RP David Robertson to the Nationals for C Pedro Severino and OF Juan Soto 3B Todd Frazier to the Cardinals (miss out on Justin Turner) for 3B Jhonny Peralta (potential flip at the deadline, 1 year remaining), C Carson Kelly, and SP Dakota Hudson Like I said, I think this could be done now that Turner and Jansen have both resigned with LAD
  14. Do you guys think Bears sign Barkley and he starts next year when the Bears draft the QB of the future?
  15. QUOTE (Black_Jack29 @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 06:57 PM) Rick Hahn was GM when the Sox traded for James Shields. You know that screams Kenny.
  16. I couldn't find the old thread where we made the predictions for the off season. Now that things have died down a bit, and Sale and Eaton being traded. Who else do you think will be traded? Where are those players going? What free agent signings do the Sox make to fill the MLB holes? SP Jose Quintana and RP Dan Jennings to the Rockies for SS Brendan Rodgers, SP Riley Pint, OF Raimel Tapia, and 3B Tyler Nelvin RP David Robertson to the Nationals for C Pedro Severino and OF Juan Soto 3B Todd Frazier to the Cardinals (miss out on Justin Turner) for 3B Jhonny Peralta (potential flip at the deadline, 1 year remaining), C Carson Kelly, and SP Dakota Hudson OF Melky Cabrera and 2B/3B Brett Lawrie go at the deadline FA Signings: SP Derek Holland 1 year/3 million SP Jhoulys Chacin 1 year/6 million SP Tom Milone Minor League contract RP Drew Storen 1 year/5 million RP Brian Matusz 1 year/2 million OF Colby Rasmus 1 year/8 million Thoughts? And your ideas?
  17. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 06:28 PM) Is that updated or an old list? I saw him listed as 30 on mlb.com. Most likely updated. Baseball America have been updating their lists for the last month I believe.
  18. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 03:58 PM) I, for one, don't particularly love Tapia. I would much prefer McMahon or even Wall over Tapia. The package I really want from the Rockies is probably Rodgers/McMahon/Wall/intriguing arm. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 04:02 PM) If that arm is Almonte, sign me up! #BringAlmonteHome Rodgers, Tapia, Freeland, and Almonte for Q?
  19. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Dec 11, 2016 -> 12:34 PM) Some chatter on the Rockies boards about it being a good fit, but nothing concrete from any official capacity (and sports radio out here isn't interested in anything that isn't the Broncos at the moment). The majority of the Rockies chatter has them trying to move Blackmon for starter and chasing Trumbo. If that's the case, 3 team deal sounds good for this type of deal. Q goes to Rockies Blackmon to team that needs CF Sox get prospects from Rockies and other team.
  20. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 02:52 PM) Tough to call, but the usual suspects: likely Robertson, Frazier and Q. Sorry, now more than ever I can't be a resource for return names like I used to but there are some highly accurate package names in this thread. I will say that the national and local media info has been surprisingly in the know lately...credit to them. Awesome. Thank you very much Bucket. So to breakdown for everyone: Astros we have discussed Martes, Musgrove, Tucker, Stubbs, Reed Nationals: Severino LAD: Calhoun, Lux, Verdugo, Barnes
  21. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 10, 2016 -> 02:33 PM) That's almost totally in the hands of Luhnow, Coppolela, Mozeliak and Rizzo. There is still momentum from last week's discussions. The scouting and talks have been very thorough for many months and further deals are on the board to be had. Make no mistake, teams very clearly know Rick's asks, which contributed to last week's action and thus the recent windfall of elite prospects. Who do you think goes next and what could we expect back in return? Thanks for the info Bucket!
  22. Saw someone on Twitter saying that Buster Olney said that he could see the Rockies offer Rodgers/Tapia/Pint for Q and the Pirates offer Glasnow/Meadows/Bell or Newman. I'd take either....
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 9, 2016 -> 02:48 PM) Soxtalk, because I care about you, I'm taking a hit for the team and am going to listen to the buster olney podcast for the Nightengale bits on Quintana. I will report back. What came out of it?
  24. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Dec 9, 2016 -> 01:39 PM) The White Sox are loaded with pitching prospects and they will most likely be adding more. As it looks now possibly: Charlotte- Giolito, Lopez, Fulmer, Holmberg, Birmingham-Adams, Stephens, Guerrero, HIGH A- Kopech, Hansen, Dunning, Diaz, Solorzano, Low A- Fry, Comito, Flores. Figure they'll still make Danish a starter in AAA until otherwise as well.
  25. From Keith Law Chat Mike: Astros have to make a deal for Quintana at this point no? Assuming the rays aren't trading archer there isn't another option that keeps them on their current plan. Seems like the perfect scenario for Hahn to strike gold again. Law: It's the ideal fit if they can agree on a price. If I'm Hahn, I'm focused on the bigger prospects, but definitely hoping to snag AJ Reed in the deal too.
