  1. http://www.barstoolsports.com/barstoolu/re...lub-last-night/ Manzeil will never be in the NFL again. He can't control himself.
  2. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 11:50 AM) I guess we are both right http://www.nola.com/saints/index.ssf/2016/...gency_star.html Yup. Like you said, that 2 day grace period let's teams/players negotiate/agree to deals, then become official on Wednesday.
  3. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 11:45 AM) When does free agency start? March 9th 12pm.
  4. QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 11:35 AM) Where are you hearing these rumors? I wouldn't mind getting a little more speed on the edge, but the Houston/Young combo combined for 12 sacks. That's pretty solid. Houston himself had 8, you'd think someone would be interested in making a trade if they do wanna get rid of him. Houston and Young were at a combine of 14.5 sacks. There are rumors about Houston getting cut. Media outlets. Aarom Leming tweeted that Bears will have interest in Vernon if he hits the market, which he will.
  5. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 11:31 AM) Miller getting the franchise tag means Trevathan and Malik Jackson will hit free agency. I think Trevathan to Bears is a poorly kept secret at this point but I don't expect the Bears to pay what it would take to get Malik Jackson. I agree on Trevathan. I think him and a guy like Scooby Wright could work well together in the middle of that 3-4
  6. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 11:24 AM) On an unrelated topic, Kyle Long came out yesterday and indicated he'd like to play with Alex Boone (who happens to be a FA). He would be a pretty big upgrade at RG and essentially confirm Long stays at tackle. Boone fits that mold too where he's young (28, turning 29 in May) to be a part of the core group on that OL. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 11:26 AM) Relevant as I believe the Bears have been linked to Janoris Jenkins, who would clearly be an upgrade at CB (a position I see the Bears either drafting early or signing via FA). That said, Trumaine Johnson is young and pretty damn good himself. Rand Getlin ‏@Rand_Getlin 3h3 hours ago Despite reports on Trumaine Johnson receiving the franchise tag from the #Rams, I firmly believe it's going to be used on Janoris Jenkins. I'd love Trumaine Johnson. Brings that size and ball skills that Fangio loves. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 11:27 AM) Jets apparently interested in Shea. Good. Have him
  7. Miami uses the transition tag on DE Oliver Vernon. Miami has the right to match any offer that teams offer Vernon, so he will hit the market. Last year they lost Charles Clay to Buffalo I believe after placing the transition tag on him. If Bears like him, could offer big money to him. He fits the mold of a McPhee.
  8. Deadspin ‏@Deadspin 3h3 hours ago VIDEO: Brewers minor leaguer can't stop his ridiculous laugh. http://deadsp.in/99IoROt I was in tears listening to Brett Phillips laugh lolol
  9. QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 10:56 AM) Samardzija may have said a couple of things, but he made it 100% clear he wanted to go into free agency. The bad season last year sunk him, so the Sox wouldn't even bother competing for his services as any contract was an overpayment. I feel this is more genuine. I agree with everything here Austin. Frazier just seems like a more personable guy/player. Fans will love him here.
  10. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Mar 1, 2016 -> 06:56 AM) Jordan Sheffield was impressive again on Friday. I like him a lot. 7.0 IP 5 H 0 R 0 ER 1 BB 11 SO Between him and Kyle Lewis, those are my favorites at their respective positions.
  11. If he has a good year, I'd love Todd Frazier in a Sox uniform for years to come
  12. Apparently Ambrose has a title shot with HHH. Hopefully that's next week in Chicago.
  13. QUOTE (scs787 @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 03:03 PM) Reading it might be the nonexclusive tag that is put on Jeffery. According to Leming that would mean he can negotiate with other teams but the Bears can match any offer or take 2 1st rounders. I expect them to match, but 2 first rounders would be pretty intriguing. Edit...it is indeed the nonexclusive tag. Very smart move by Pace. I don't think a team is willing to give up 2 1st round picks, but you never know. Still think it's safe to say Bears and Jeffery will agree to a long term deal before July 15th
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 12:15 PM) Brian Hedger ‏@BrianHedger 5m5 minutes ago Bickell's agent has permission to seek trade scenarios, which he's doing. He's hopeful but knows cap situation is a tough one. #Blackhawks 5 retweets 2 likes If Bowman can pull this off without getting rid of Pokka, Hartman, or Forsling and I'll be ecstatic.
  15. Hawks trade D Dennis Robertson to Carolina for G Drew McIntyre (not the wrestler). Goalie for Rockford for the playoffs. Leighton will be 3rd goalie for playoffs.
  16. QUOTE (knightni @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 11:24 AM) I hope that there are plenty of good pitching options out there. There should be. However, I'll tell you a little story from last year. I finished 3rd with Carrasco, Verlander, Quintana, Richards, and Stroman as my starting 5 pitchers. I figured I'd load up on hitting and address my pitching needs in the draft. In fantasy, a great offense always beats good pitching in terms of cost (auction).
  17. Mainsail got caught at a club drinking champaign hours after the Grand Jury thing lol
  18. Our keeper deadline is today. My final and official keepers are: C Brian McCann 1B Freddie Freeman 2B Dee Gordon SS Rights to Fransisco Lindor 3B Rights to Maikel Franco OF Bryce Harper OF Giancarlo Stanton OF Starling Marte SP Stephen Strasburg SP Carlos Rodon SP Carlos Martinez SP Rights to Lance McCullers SP Rights to Eduardo Rodriguez I have $100 for 18 players to fill out my roster.
  19. 10, 26, and 49 now. I like that.
  20. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 29, 2016 -> 09:37 AM) Damn Eli Apple just slid into the first round with a 4.4 Matt Miller always has had him in the 1st round. Supposedly the 40 times are a bit quicker than they really are. For example, Lee's 40 time stopped when he had about 5 feet left. CB William Jackson ran a 4.32 and 4.39. I think he can be in play at 11 for the Bears.
  21. Can we lock this thread before it gets out of hand?
  22. Whoever gets butt hurt over this needs to climb out from under their rock. Goff is a f***ing clown himself.
