  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 05:32 PM) Call the adminstrative building for your local school system. They will be able to tell you details, including pay scale. Thank you. I'm going to get some details today.
  2. Outside of Tiley and George, Whitman was the next best choice. Great hire. Boom or bust type of guy imo because of his minimal experience, but he loves Illinois and has a huge ceiling for what he could do with Illinois athletics.
  3. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 06:31 PM) Kosher dawg with grilled onions and mustard, so freakin' good. This is also my favorite, add in a mountain dew and mmmm. So good. Also, the Comiskey burger is amazing. I could down 3 of those if I wanted to.
  4. QUOTE (LDF @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 04:06 PM) i wish there was an updated 40 man list. i am using BR list and it is old. Sox website has an updated 40
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 01:33 PM) Depends on the particular school system, but typically having a degree is enough. Thank you. I'll look into it.
  6. Brandon Jennings and Ilysova to the Magic for Tobias Harris
  7. QUOTE (LDF @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 12:35 PM) for me and my fantasy hopes, i see 4-5 unknown pitchers making a name for them selves in the 1st round. i see some of those college bats falling down to the comp rds or 2nd rounds. that is why i am still ranting on getting more comp picks selections and yes, trade the 2/3 tier pitchers to get them the sox have a stock systems for those kind of pitchers. oh well that is me. Who would you trade for a competitive balance pick though? Teams covet those.
  8. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 12:28 PM) So far we have the following. There is a 17 game spread between the highest and lowest totals, and the Sox are picked between 1st and last place. 90-72 1st place- USA Today 82-80 2nd place BP 81-81 tied 2nd Fangraphs 4th place, Athlon sports 73-89 5th place, Bleacher report. 80.5 wins 4th place Atlantis Casino Only way we lose 89 games is if one of the big guys goes down to injury. I think 80-85 is where we will finish up.
  9. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 11:28 AM) You don't have to teach the rest of your life. Maybe sub and coach until you find your next step. Try not to be picky. I'm not trying to be picky. I know I can't be picky because the student loans will be coming in shortly after and other bills. Can someone still be a sub without a degree in education? I never put much thought into it. I just figured I wouldn't be able to sub because of what my college degree is in.
  10. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 10:52 AM) Leyer at 8th is ridiculous in my view. He's got a very nice fastball, runs mid to upper 90's with some movement and he can locate it. But this supposedly good change-up, according to every report I've seen might maybe flash average or a little better, but is inconsistent at best. His slider is mushy, and the change is just not there. Despite all his innings. I think 20's is even a stretch. Fun fact also - he loves the radar gun. One of the affiliate contacts I work with said he was worried Robin would strain his neck because he always whipped around to see his speed so fast after delivering a pitch. That said, Law seems to always throw in some weird flier on this list. Andrew Mitchell was his guy last year, and he's disappeared entirely. What was Mitchell's injury last year? I was high on him out of the pen coming out.
  11. I'm graduating in May, and have no clue what I want to do with my life. Majoring in Sports Management and minoring in management, and currently a HS baseball coach. I'd like to continue coaching but I don't want to teach. Kind of nervous.
  12. Meyer that high is a stretch. I did wonder why you guys didn't put him in the FutureSox top 30. If he has a good change up and a plus fastball, then he could be a 7th-8th inning guy. I had him in the teens/early 20s.
  13. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 09:48 PM) Guys, GUYS...big show-strongman guy is the main event!!!!!! This is awful
  14. Apparently there are still rumors that Bulls are going after DeMarcus Cousins
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 07:32 PM) The fatal 5 way was a fun clusterf***. Gives me some hope Ambrose may win Sunday, but I know I shouldn't have that. I was hoping Breeze was gonna somehow win that lol
  16. QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 03:08 PM) Why? Seager is nice and Gallo is solid. I have Maikel Franco at 3B, and I wasn't gonna keep Gallo. Remember it's a very complex league
  17. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 03:37 PM) Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I'm going to draft a second baseman next, as Pedroia is getting older and more injury prone. The best ones left are Ian Happ and Forrest Wall. Which one do you think would be better in a dynasty H2H points league? Happ
  18. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 12:01 PM) So latest is George and Tiley are out and rumor right now is that Groce is probably safe for another year. f***ing ridiculous and I'm about ready to cut bait on Illinois athletics altogether. Not worth my time until the university shows they give a f***. Jeremy Werner reporting that the final 2 are Josh Whitman and Patrick Chan
  19. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 10:51 AM) I just traded a draft pick for Shawn Tolleson. Here is my updated roster. C - Posey/Vogt 1B - Encarnacion/Vogt 2B - Pedroia/Lawrie SS - Russell/Swanson/Bregman 3B - Seager/Lawrie OF - Kemp/Pence/Inciarte/Piscotty/Yelich/Winker SP - Sale/Price/Bumgarner/Hamels/Tanaka/Quintana/Chen/Finnegan/Norris RP - Papelbon/Ramos/Street/Perkins/Tolleson I have 3 minor league draft picks left. Which positions would you try to upgrade at if you were me? All on offense
  20. Traded Stephen Vogt (rights) Joey Gallo ($3) and Kyle Seager ($12) for Jonathan Lucroy ($14)
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 13, 2016 -> 09:06 AM) I agree with this 100%. And to me, Nightengale saying the Sox are out of cash is like white smoke at the Vatican. Something must be imminent. They were out of money, they trade for Peavy. Even have less than no money, claim Rios. Busted again, find $4 million to pay Manny for a month. Totally busted Paulie is leaving, AJ is leaving,....sign Dunn, bring Paulie and AJ back. Out of money after Robertson and Samardzija, sign Melky. The Sox are not out of money.
  22. Bob Nnightengale on MLB Network just said that the White Sox are out of cash. I find this hard to believe.
  23. Ben Badler ‏@BenBadler 8m8 minutes ago Padres are the favorites to sign two of the best Cuban prospects. Would add to their big July 2 international class: http://bit.ly/1QbVe96
