  1. I know they made amends when Puig was a Dodger at the ST facility, not sure if that still stands
  2. Will Harris and Puig would make me happy, I prefer Yolmer over Mendick but I know CWS is high on the cheaper option in Mendick
  3. Have a feeling he's a fall back for Castellanos, who probably isn't getting the offers he expected (Neither is Puig) Regardless, I think one of them comes here...Give me the cheaper one and I'll be happy Wonder what Puig's relationship is with Abreu, they had issues in Cuba
  4. Likely AAA to get PT, maybe dealt at the deadline
  5. I'm a big fan of Mazara I just keep seeing Sox involved with Castellanos and apparently Puig I'd be all for adding the cheper option or whoever of the two we can Also, don't really think anyone will sit the bench, everyone will have a role whether in a platoon or otherwise
  6. Yup And when they blew it up when they dealt Sale and Eaton (to some) And when they added Frazier and Lawrie I'd prefer him getting as much playing time as possible Ultimately, he can be used as trade bait at the deadline OR come up when McCann walks in FA
  7. Would seriously be content with 82 wins in '19, but super excited...this will be fun
  8. C- Grandal 1B- Abreu 2B- Madrigal 3B- Moncada SS- Anderson LF- Eloy CF- Robert RF- Puig/Castellanos DH- EE Bench- McCann, Yolmer, Mazara, Leury Rotation- Giolito, Keuchel, Gonzalez, Cease, Lopez Bullpen- Colome, Herrera, Harris/Hudson, Bummer, Fry, Hamilton, Marshall, Burdi DL- Kopech, Rodon AAA- Collins, Fulmer, Dunning, Lambert, Adolfo, Basabe, Rutherford, Mercedes, Zavala, Mendick, Engel
  9. After EE, Merkin wants Yolmer and Hudson which I would support If we're truly going all in grab the cheaper option of Castellanos/Puig, Yolmer, and Hudson/Harris...I'd be more than content Yolmer's defensive greatness and versatility off the bench would be major
  10. Robert, like Moncada, has already has a big pay day however (to the tune of $26M)...Both are unlikely to sign an extension and more likely to test FA, neither desperate to cash in Eaton, Sale, and Q were all easily interested in a pay day as Madrigal, Gio, Kopech may be WSD, who may be a good guy, is fairly fraudulent He's a comedic blogger, not an insider
  11. Vaughn is a great prospect, but let's see what he can do in his first full MiLB season first If he's for real, he's the future 1B here in maybe as early as 2021 with Abreu shifting to DH Like most players, I think if Collins hits well enough, he'll be on the ML roster Obviously he loses some value if he can't catch, but as of now he's the 2021 backup C (no need to bring back McCann) and as of now (pending a FA signing), he can get some ABs at DH and back up Abreu as well Rather he start at AAA and tear it up honestly, just to get playing time, but as of now he has a role in this org. going forward Yup, Sox will be loaded at C, 1B, and DH if EE signs but rather that than otherwise Thank God for this miserable division, where the best team may blow it up
  12. McHugh would be nice, I think Reed actually may be retired, arm's shot I'm a proponent of Will Harris as well, older but effective Vizcaino would be interesting The homegrown bullpen depth is interesting as well with Burdi and Hamilton coming back and Johnson rising to go along with Bummer and Fry...plenty other potential options too
  13. Guess who had the superior ERA last year? And STILL better than giving Zach Wheeler 9 digits? Both teams just got good #3s, Wheeler has a higher ceiling that he's yet to hit at age 30 White Sox just signed their #3 for cheaper and have the depth to not feature him as a their #1
  14. The GM whose 0 for 7 in winning seasons is a moron?!
  15. Odds are in your favor for that term and money
  16. Bold...I really like what PHI did Anytime you can get a #3 starter with a near 4 ERA for $118M...you do it
  17. James McCann was less than ideal after the ASG so we will see if that AS nod was a fluke (unfortunately think it was), but still a solid backup
  18. Yup, much rather Keuchel on 3/54 (or even 4/74) than Zach Wheeler for $118M...literally both solid #3s on a good team Lopez has flashed the stuff of an ace Kopech hopefully returns to form because he was set to be the ace here and Cease has been filthy coming up, even compared to Verlander...this rotation can be disgusting for years to come if all goes well Hopefully Gio can replicate last season as well if he doesn't even further progress
  19. So amazing to me that a team with 0 HOFers (Frank was out) swept a team with Clemens, Pettite, Bagwell, Biggio, Oswalt, and Berkman Keuchel isn't an ace, and he's really not even a #2 but he's a solid #3 and will probably give you more consistency than Zach Wheeler for a lot less...I'm satisfied This team needed an innings eater that gives you a chance to win and they got it...for fair value Hopefully Lopez proves himself this year, would be so major Giolito, Kopech, Kuechel, Cease, Lopez, Gonzalez, Lopez, Rodon is depth I haven't seen here in a long time He was always hitting mid-.200's which is better than what we're typically accustomed to Not a big Mendick guy either, but it seems the FO is big on him, we'll get a bigger glimpse of him in Spring If you were expecting anyone on a 9 digit deal that's on you The defense of our Rfer will make or break this team...
  20. https://www.nbcsports.com/bayarea/giants/watch-giants-prospect-jacob-heyward-get-ejected-call-robot-umpire https://www.12up.com/posts/video-robot-umpire-makes-ridiculous-strike-3-call-in-atlantic-league-game-01dfrjz8fm1b Can't wait for significant upgrades
  21. I would love to lock up Moncada, but have a strong feeling Madrigal is a recipient of an extension before OD...maybe an arm too like Giolito or Kopech
