Players I love that went Day 2 Matt Cronin in the 4th to WSH...seeing him go in the 4th makes me scratch my head with the Burdi pick even more...why would a reliever ever go that high? guy should be a very good reliever in the ML fairly soon Will Holland in the 5th to MIN, absolute steal, first round talent, no clue how he fell Noah Song in the 4th to BOS...extremely curious to see how this works out Graeme Stinson in the 4th to TB...Think a lot of teams will regret passing on him due to an untimely injury Zack Hess in the 7th to DET...Should be another good ML reliever
-
Not sure if he signs, but would like to take UNC RHSP Gianluca Dalatri at some point...broke a few of Matt Harvey's freshman records at UNC, but has been injury plagued (elbow, hip), should probably return to UNC for his SR year
-
Ton of top 200 guys left (although a fraction won't sign), where was Bush ranked last year? What HSers should we throw money at late or at all?
-
Who do we want? Pumped
-
Can't wait, much needed

Hard to really promote these kids/this draft when College baseball is merely a fraction of what NCAA Football and hoops are AND when there's like a 7% chance of a draft pick making it...in a handful of years earliest You are Chief Love seeing the local (local talent to me) go and just the HS kids that we toss money at, along with sleepers Probably my least favorite voice/analyst in sports...At least Chris Collinsworth is intelligent First thing I thought of as well, kid looks far from Swedish As am I, I'm usre it has to do with sustaining a strong farm system while also having a competitive ML team, curious to see how it plays out, the vast majority of HSers taken the last 2 years have yet to see full season ball Seems wildly high, seems like he;ll sign with CWS no problem however based off his Twitter Unreal Very odd, won't complain As do I, my favorite pick thus far, lot to be excited about, super raw I want to call this a lazy comparison but I don't know who to compare him to HS talent this early is refreshingly different for sure, hopefully pans out better than Danish and Adams That would be correct, 3 rounds after Abrams and frankly more potential as a hitter Wonder where he would fit in the org. top 30, very excited Definitely helps sustain a strong system over time Would have loved him, what a steal 5'11" 180 would put him right in the middle Would have loved both of them as well, curious how Song's situation plays out Holland I think has a floor of a utility INF with a pretty damn high ceiling as an AS SS I was down to either him or Madrigal with a slight preference for Madrigal, didn't want Bohm or any other arm This system has so little LHSP, unreal...2 more righties to the top 30 Very curious to see what happens Cheap college signing yes, but also quite interesting, coming off a good season Exactly why I'm interested in Metzdorf...hopefully can come into GF and throw a little and hopefully move quickly to help KAN...ACC comp is not easy Guess he can be this year's Varnell or Todd Kibby or whoever we always liken to MB56 Major steal I take it that tweet is accurate, sounds wild So odd to see LAw praising CWS Not sure what they see, if you take a SR, take a good one, apparently NH thinks he's a SP too Who? That answers that Interested with him, very good numbers as a SR SP...cool background First Patel I can remember since Dinesh Patel and the slightly more successful Rinku Singh Interesting point, life in the MiLB is insanely poor Was a Freshman All-American and very good defensively AND working with pitchers (including Manoah), I'm intrigued Should be very similar to last year apparently, HS talent early, college power arms to follow, maybe some deep sleepers, a flier like Bush hopefully Very intrigued, far more than a money saver Sounds like he's signing, assume a deal was already discussed Why do you have them both underslot? Vaughn was ranked #3 by most and Thompson a HS arm with a strong commitment and a dude who fell out of the 1st May I say I like when we tale SRs with upside like Jameson Fisher as opposed to a JAG (just a guy) Wonder who they take Day 3, lots of talent left Rightfully so, most excited I've been for a pick in a while Can't wait to add...hopefully we get anohter name or two to add to our Top 30 outside of our first 4 picks All for that...I guess Leiter is a lock for Vandy because he comes to mind right now...plenty others For every Bryce Bush there's a Bryce Montes De Oca
-
Stephens done starting? Love seeing Rivera, Sheets, and Blake rake over their last 10...all similar statlines Time for a promotion for Dopico And my daily "time for a promotion for Frost, Dawkins, Destino, Remillard, and Fisher"...ooh and Robert
-
Hope so, last 5 starts Cease has been cruising No doubt, but also think Lopez will be just fine and hopeful Kopech returns at 100-110% As am I, I've seen enough from him both last year and this year to suggest he'll be fine...needs consistency more than anything Back with a bang, awesome Good to see the 19 YO Sosa hitting with KAN this well because for whatever reason Curbelo and Zangari aren't Awful luck, hope he's okay Probably his best start of the year, good kid, should move up in a few starts...What's his ceiling? MOR starter? Video game numbers man, unreal Great group of kids, Troutwine kinda raking now too God willing

FS: Andrew Vaughn goes to White Sox at pick No. 3
ChiSoxJon replied to Rankin's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Think you're overthinking this one, Sox pay their top picks all relatively timely, this isn't hundreds of millions -
Just about all HS Ps are projects, him and Dalquist should both sign and hopefully have ETAs of 2022-2023 Alec Hansen was absolute filth in college who sucked as a senior due to mechanics
-
Don't think so...Think people were turned off by his stats as a HS senior I believe

What the fuck does Machado have to do with Vaughn?... -
Rather hold onto him personally unless blown away

FS Breakdown: 3rd and 4th Round Picks Andrew Dalquist and James Beard
ChiSoxJon replied to Rankin's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Exactly, hopefully we can develop him and maximize his talents, super raw -
FS Breakdown: 3rd and 4th Round Picks Andrew Dalquist and James Beard
ChiSoxJon replied to Rankin's topic in Pale Hose Talk
James Beard has to be my favorite Sox pick, feel like we just got a more raw Abrams with a higher ceiling in an OFer form (I think Abrams moves there) 3 rounds later Pumped -
While I don't want to trade Colome, I wonder what he can net
-
Where is Nick Madrigal at in his development?
ChiSoxJon replied to Greg Hibbard's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Should be up in Chicago late '20 or early '21, right around the same time as Vaughn -
Nicky Delmonico undergoes season-ending surgery
ChiSoxJon replied to Jose Abreu's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Awful, good guy Should be it for Nicky, really no role for him moving forward -

Sounds perfect to me -
Wonder how far he falls, Round 4-5 (if happens) I'd pull the trigger

FS: Andrew Vaughn goes to White Sox at pick No. 3
ChiSoxJon replied to Rankin's topic in Pale Hose Talk
While I think it's way too early to discuss a position change, apparently teams worked Vaughn out at 3B -
While his stats are video game-like, isn't his competition pretty weak?

I honestly don't see RH moving top guys unless he absolutely has to due to Rule 5 factor (Believe Adolfo is approaching) Absolute KW guy, but plot twist, I support it...I like the round 3 talent more than 2 Jack Leiter (if likely to sign) would be a hell of a steal, Drew Mendoza is kinda interesting, but Will Holland is my guy, would love him Noah Song also interesting Stinson of Duke would be a steal as well Cronin and Hess also interesting relievers Hampton seems a strong possibility today As I was watching KAN last week, it hit me that CWS has strong Oklahoma connections (Michalczewski, Zangari, Jake Elliot, J.B. Olson, Steele Walker, Lane Ramsey, Taylor Varnell) Would support that fully
-
Nice outing from Pilkington Solid start from Bilous for KAN Everyone look at Lenyn Sosa's last 10 in KAN (he's 19) Seeing Destino still with KAN is funny, but seeing Dawkins with KAN should be ilegal
-
Where will he rank among the Top 30? Don't love the pick, but don't dislike it...like the idea of a HS arm, just don't love the talent Lots of good players available at 81 today
