  1. Real good guy, best wishes to him Really wonder where it went wrong for him, granted CWS f***ed his development by rushing him Proudly wanted either Giolito or Stroman with this pick but knew Hawkins was a KW guy Someone will sign him, maybe he'll make it one day Hell, look at Jose Martinez
  2. 9/30 on the MLB Sox Top 30 are currently on the DL What s*** luck Imagine if this system had Robert, Jimenez, Burger, and Curbelo all raking with Hansen and Burdi chucking?
  3. Love seeing guys that are not thought of often like Remillard and Roman raking, even Michalczewski is off to a great start (about time), only 23 in AA
  4. Having seen Adolfo in person several times, He reminds me Gregory Polanco (who I've also seen in person on the same team as Alen Hanson and Willy Garcia)
  5. Gotta give credit where credit is due: Hell of a start for Rutherford, seems to have gap power which we were all told when he got here
  6. Why do all these highly regarded arms have control issues? Lopez, Kopech, Cease, etc.
  7. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 01:17 PM) I wish the Sox would try Moncada in center field, like the Mariners did with Dee Gordon. I feel that his speed and arm would make him a great fit out there. Let him establish himself as a hitter first
  8. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 03:10 AM) Nice Burger interview from a few days ago I found if anyone wants to give it a listen. Talks about his past, how he's dealing with his injury, thinks Skoug was a steal for us, all about the Burger and Beer slogans, says to keep an eye out on fathom's boy Eierman in this draft, etc. Hope he's right on Skoug Can't wait to see Burger play again, great guy
  9. Nice innings for Johnson, Morrison, and Hickman too
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 09:12 PM) Some podcast prior to season said he made Collins look like a Gold Glover He made the SAL ASG based off his D FWIW
  11. QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Apr 16, 2018 -> 07:51 PM) Everything I've heard is he pretty much all bat right now. Has trouble transitioning to throw down to 2nd and last year, and supposedly his blocking was pretty piss poor last year too. His defense was stellar with KAN, including arm
  12. I'll personally assume these players are: Singer, McClanahan, Mize, Turang, Gorman, Rolison, Kowar, Kelenic, and De Sedas
  13. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 15, 2018 -> 04:08 PM) Assuming he doesn’t go out for the 8th, this will be Clarkin’s final line: 7 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 6 K, 0 BB Excellent start to to season for him. Definitely think he's a ML starter one day, hard to see it here though
  14. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 10:23 PM) I am quite confident that 4 of Eloy/Robert/Adolfo/Rutherford/Basabe will be solid MLB players Quite confident Eloy and Robert will be major superstars, Basabe possibly a star/very good player, and Adolfo and Rutherford could both be very solid MLers
  15. Really good to see Booker raking and playing well, that OF is insane Even Rutherford is hitting well (Not much power) I assume Adolfo is DL bound soon however so that clears things up slightly
  16. Small sample but Tyler Johnson has a filthy statline Good shot he winds up in BIR by the end of the year
  17. I'm just as excited as everyone else is but we have to realize it's April 14
  18. Nice start from Cease and solid start from Guerrero although still think he's best suited for the 'Pen
  19. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 09:01 PM) Basabe with his 3rd hit. Here's hoping this season is his coming out party. He's gonna be in the Top 100 discussion this offseason for sure
  20. QUOTE (MnSoxFan @ Apr 14, 2018 -> 08:41 AM) Palka was a beast at Georgia in the NCAA, he killed the Illini in the postseason one year. Power hitter for sure, Twins liked him but seemed to sour on him Georgia Tech He could definitely be in the ML today, just blocked here
  21. Pleasantly surprised how well Fisher is handling BIR early
  22. The majority of these guys frankly don't deserve a ML gig at this stage in their career
  23. Off to a great start in '18 Overshadowed by the surplus of OF prospects and frankly not that prospective, but worth keeping an eye on, could very well be a MLer one day Wish this guy was playing more in WS but I get it
  24. QUOTE (Jack Parkman @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 12:23 AM) I can't get excited about prospects anymore until they come up to the bigs and have success there. Moncada and Giolito have taught me that. Also, whether or not the guy is a young player, everything about spring training means nothing. Velocity readings for pitchers, whether or not they have their command, whether a hitter shows power or a good eye, nothing. Only the regular season or playoffs matter, and it has to be in the Majors. Nothing matters until there. All the levels of minor league baseball are for is to weed out those who clearly can't make it at the big league level. Moncada and Gio were both called up late last year and have both shown great promise aside from some unfortunate luck and lacking plate discipline from Moncada...These guys are kids
  25. Really like the UCF closer Bryce Tucker as a Draft prospect https://d1baseball.com/player/A9RiaMB5/bryce-tucker/ Should go Round 2 or 3 and should may fly through the minors as a college reliever I still think CWS goes HS INF at #4 Good to see a system where they can go BPA and not position specefic
