  1. QUOTE (GenericUserName @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 11:04 PM) We can, just not for more than $300k. It sounds like he is an okay prospect, but nothing crazy, and bonuses are down with the new hard pools, so we should be able to sign him for $300k. Thanks, appreciate the explanation I'd love that...wonder if it's better to get a handful of okay prospects or go all out for a Robert
  2. Feel like 2 hits for Rutherford and Adolfo is a guarantee now
  3. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 07:14 PM) For better or worse, I think we end up with Donaldson. So Sox like but I really hope you're wrong
  4. Chris Beck looking sharp Rather see more Beck than Volstad
  5. QUOTE (GenericUserName @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 08:56 PM) Well we might be able to get at least one big name, even though he may or may not be a big talent. This article mainly talking about Acuna's brother links us to Miguel Tejada Jr. for next J2: Awesome, loved Tejada but I thought CWS can't sign any J2 guys for another year
  6. Even as a FA this winter, Rondon could be worth a top 10-15 prospect if he keeps this up
  7. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 05:04 PM) Because he doesn't have enough service time. Bruce Rondon?
  8. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 04:59 PM) Free agent after the 2020 season. How? Thought it's a 1 year MiLB deal
  9. It's official, Bruce is the 2018 Swarzak Who's getting him come June and what for?
  10. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Apr 11, 2018 -> 01:42 PM) Hot Take: Carson ends up a formidable #5 pitcher by year's end Definitely think Fulmer is a ML starter but what do we think about pushing him back to the 'pen where he could be a star? Obviously the SP depth here is ridiculous as well
  11. Joel Booker really deserves more time but that OF is packed
  12. QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 08:06 PM) Big TJ House fan here Believe I saw him in A ball in 2009 with Lake County, real promising then
  13. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 08:53 PM) Minaya gives up a triple and throws a wild pitch. Yeesh. Time to get him out the org.
  14. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 08:49 PM) Wow, Basabe 5-5 since I ripped his slow start mid game yesterday. Awesome to see after last year Really think he'll be in the Top 100 discussion in the fall
  15. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 10, 2018 -> 01:14 AM) Yordano Ventura definitely had the ability to be a star...someone is forgetting Frank Thomas on that roster. You have to count him, technically. A decade ago, you would have said that Hamels, Cliff Lee, Utley and Howard had decent to good chances at the HoF. Jimmy Rollins was a really excellent player for a decade as well. Also, a 39 year old Pedro Martinez was on that roster for part of the year. I knew i was missing somebody, the homegrown ace...wow RIP
  16. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 9, 2018 -> 08:56 PM) Basabe really struggling to start the year. 2/5 tonight with a 2B and a SB but he's K-ing a ton
  17. Now saw KAN suspended Von Ruden, anyone know why? I saw he retired but maybe he abandoned team? Maybe they're holding off on retirement? Odd situation to retire right before your start
  18. So when Kopech is up and Rodon is back do we go to the 6 man rotation that almost never works to save arms/innings of the future or DFA MiGo and put Shields in long relief?
  19. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 9, 2018 -> 10:40 PM) 2015 Royals were pretty star-free, right? I guess...Moose, Hosmer, Cain, Wade, Gordon, Volquez, Shields Sox had Buehrle, PK, Dye, and AJ
  20. Are we all aware that pre-Draft Gio was a lock to go #1 until he needed TJS? He's lost a bit of velocity since he was 18 but I'm not sure we all realize this (Not that it has to do with this post) If there was no Kopech, Gio would be an ace as he still has ace potential (The TOR Broadcast also compared Lopez to Severino)
  21. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Apr 9, 2018 -> 11:22 AM) His major league future, if he has one is in relief so it makes sense I think he's better off
  22. Saw something that Von Ruden retired right before his season debut with KAN? What's up with that?
  23. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 8, 2018 -> 03:40 PM) Nice start for Clarkin. Didn't allow any flyouts so far Biggest asset from the NYY deal...Back-end starter (Even if there's no room for him here)
  24. Shame on me for disliking Renteria My ignorant self knew nothing about his philosophy Now I love him
  25. I'll get to see KAN later this month and have reports Was looking forward to seeing Curbelo, Zangari, and maybe Abbott or Kincanon but we'll see
