  1. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jul 27, 2016 -> 08:11 AM) i don't even think its a question .320/.432/.483 and 5 HR 8 SBs in 36 games so far Saw him play in person last week, he plays hard and covers a lot of ground in CF. Love this Draft class so far but I feel like I say that every year.
  2. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 11:56 PM) Nope, keep going. You're on a roll! Sox should net similar to what Chapman's return was considering Robertson's 2.5 years left on deal with fair pay. Chapman got the #24 prospect in baseball, the #75 prospect in baseball, throw in 'pen reliever in Warren, and a low level prospect in Crawford so I think it's fair Sox would get the #54 prospect in baseball, WSH's #10 prospect, WSH's #14 prospect, and a throw in either in the form of Brian Goodwin (closer to MLB) or Rhett Wiseman (Low level).
  3. RHP Robertson to WSH in exchange for OF Victor Robles, C Pedro Severino, 3B Drew Ward, and OF Rhett Wiseman/Brian Goodwin Asking for too much?
  4. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 01:37 PM) Exactly. If a team wants to offer a solid prospect or two for him, I'd pretty much move him without hesitation. My exact thoughts
  5. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 01:31 PM) I think Kolek ends up being another Frankie Montas, big bodied guy destined for the back of the bullpen if he can stay healthy. I'd like that since I can't see him sticking as a starter, his fastball maxed at 102MPH in HS...Burdi, Jones, Webb, and Kolek make for some flame throwers in our 'pen
  6. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 01:09 PM) I think you'll be surprised. Be realistic, no one will pay value for Sale and even if someone does, Hahn still wouldn't be set on dealing his ace, Sale may be the greatest Sox pitcher of all time when his career ends...start thinking about returns on D-Rob and Duke, maybe Melky, because that's all the "selling' this franchise will be doing this week
  7. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 12:57 PM) I don't think I have words for how great a deal that would be I'd personally feel safer gambling on Poteet and Brice however and feel that's more realistic as well
  8. QUOTE (Dunt @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 01:05 PM) Why would you trade Gonzalez just to trade him? He has more value to the Sox than a team like the Marlins, especially if they move Sale or Quintana. They won't be moving Sale or Q anytime soon
  9. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 12:59 PM) The Shields contract isn't bad. At least for us it isn't since technically San Diego is paying for it. Smart call, really do feel like this is his ceiling in Chicago though while I certainly hope he can maintain it
  10. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 12:57 PM) I don't think I have words for how great a deal that would be Personally feel like Kolek has "Bust" written all over him but I'd no doubt pull the trigger on that while I still think it's highly unlikely
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 12:23 PM) On this market, if someone believes Shields is fixed that could be huge. Could definitely see Boston's and LAD's interest grow on Shields, especially if he pitches well today
  12. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 12:22 PM) Also wouldn't be surprised to see Shields moved again, he has been pretty good after his first three disastrous outings here. Contract is very affordable now. Even though he's pitching well as of late that contract is sickening. If he's movable you have to move him. The return may not be strong (2-3 low level prospects) but his contract is too heavy on a team that already seems to have 4 set starters for next year in Sale, Q, Rodon, and Fulmer (Yes, I believe Sale and Q will remain Sox and they will)
  13. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 26, 2016 -> 11:45 AM) Kolek could be an interesting name. Maybe with the surgery they have interest in moving him instead of waiting to see if he is the same pitcher again. Although Kolek has awful stats and is now recovering from TJS I'd take a Gonzalez-Kolek swap in a heartbeat being that Gonzalez is a luxury and Kolek's prospect status
  14. Can't believe Miguel Gonzalez is getting trade interest, hope it grows, Kolek is almost absolutely not being dealt while Naylor is a major long shot I'd take RHPs Austin Brice and Cody Poteet for Miguel
  15. In the offseason I'd shop Frazier to NYM for OF Brandon Nimmo, SS Gavin Cecchini, and RHP Justin Dunn
  16. LHP Zach Duke to NYM for RHP Gabriel Ynoa and 3B David Thompson
  17. D-Rob is a perfect fit in Boston. He's from and dominated the AL East while BOS needs a temporary closer who can slot as a set up (where frankly Robertson is better as). Boston has the money to comfortably pay him too and deep farm system to get him too. I'd honestly take Kopech, a guy who I was big on out of the his draft class, (who has a Sale-like temper with a Chapman-like fastball) alone for Robertson but I'd try to milk out one of Sam Travis/Brian Johnson and one of Pat Light/Trey Ball for him as well. At best I think Sox can get RHP Michael Kopech, 1B Sam Travis (who I'd like to see in LF for Sox), and RHP Pat Light (a nice 'pen piece with D-Rob and Duke likely shopped with Webb, Putnam, and Petricka all recovering from surgery) for D-Rob

  19. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jul 5, 2016 -> 02:56 PM) I wouldn't be mad if the White Sox were sellers at the deadline. We've all seen this movie before. Depends on the next 2 weeks, I'm not totally against moving anyone not named Sale/Q/Rodon/Jones/Abreu/Anderson/Eaton on the ML roster, Frazier/Lawrie/Shields/Melky should all be shopped this offseason if this season ends below .500
  20. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 27, 2016 -> 09:19 PM) Sox 10th round pick Zach Remillard and 27th round pick Mike Morrison are playing right now for Coastal Carolina in the CWS on ESPN. Game 1 if anyone is interested. Just caught one of Remillard's at bats. I think the Sox may have steals in both these kids, I'm also fond of Marks on Coastal, reminds me of an even scrappier Adam Eaton, he's an undrafted senior so hopefully someone signs him
  21. 1. Collins 2. Fulmer 3. Burdi 4. Hansen 5. Adams 6. Engel 7. Michalczewski 8. Hamilton 9. Guerrero 10. Adolfo Love the infusion of talent, favorite draft class I can remember for my Sox
  22. Bats I'd target are guys who can make a Cespedes-like impact from last year on us and I can only see even fractions of that with Bruce or Braun Erik Johnson/Chris Beck/ Carson Fulmer are in house options to replace Danks
  23. Mock: 10. Braxton Garrett, LHP, Alabama HS 26. Matt Thaiss, C, UVA 49. Ryan Boldt, OF, Nebraska 86. Bobby Dalbec, 3B, Arizona
  24. Former farmhand Sammy Ayala resuming baseball career in the Frontier League http://www.frontierleague.com/transactions-2/
  25. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Apr 16, 2016 -> 11:20 AM) Anyone know what happened to Johan Cruz? Seems like he hasn't played in a few days. Just got moved to the DL
