  1. Not a great effort by our 3 and 4 hitters there...
  2. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 07:19 PM) Abreu will hit a three run jack in the bottom of the 1st to tie the game. It is crazy he has only hit 4 home runs in his last 25 games or so. He is way overdue for one
  3. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 07:17 PM) More importantly, he's becoming a huge question mark for next year now. Don't worry, they will tell us his velocity is back and he was still recovering
  4. This is horrible.. It has to suck as an offense to know you are already in the hole by multiple runs because of your less then average pitcher
  5. 20 home runs given up is a lot even for playing in this park
  6. Danks starting off strong.....
  7. I hope he is back sooner rather than later.. Dude is batting .583, only 1 XBH but still. I think he wants back in that dugout with Abreu and the other guys bad
  8. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 06:19 PM) Avi Garcia homer Nice!! He has been pretty good in the rehab start.. When do you guys think he will be back? Monday?
  9. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 05:17 PM) If Sierra brought in a pair of glasses for every player to be wearing when Flowers returned to the dugout from an at bat he would achieve legendary prankster status. He has a twitter! Time to start bombarding him with tweets
  10. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 05:09 PM) Micah not in the line up again tonight, is he hurt?? Micah is recovering from a cold. Garcia is back in the line up tonight so looks like he is ok!
  11. Garcia is starting so I expect to see a bunt from him
  12. We are now 5 back again and finally made the MLB Network graphic of the AL standings!!
  13. Micah not in the line up again tonight, is he hurt??
  14. QUOTE (MU Mike @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 04:23 PM) Obviously I'm biased since I'm his older brother, but I think Scotty (Carroll) could be an effective middle reliever. I think the role suits him, and his bullpen stint this year was a good experience. By the way, love the enthusiasm for the Sox on this board. My brother may not be an all-star, or even a solid rotation guy, but he's a good dude who doesn't take himself too seriously. I think that's why some people have become fans of his. Like south-siders, he's a grinder whose persistence paid off. And maybe a little luck helped as well with so many guys going down earlier this year! I've really enjoyed my trips to the Cell this year to watch him pitch. Well, except for that Cubs game. That sucked. He felt awful after that game. Welcome to Soxtalk!! Awesome to see more family members come on here and give us some insight.. I love Carroll and I think he is a great clubhouse guy and defiantly can be serviceable on the MLB club.. He has surprised me and a lot of us so far this year and he is someone I will continue to root for.. Love underdog stories
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 03:24 PM) https://twitter.com/whitesox/status/4967532...6594176/photo/1 Beckham and De Aza sitting. De Aza probably because his knee is bothering him which I expected.. Garcia and Beckham are almost equal so doesn't really matter
  16. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Aug 5, 2014 -> 01:44 PM) Can somebody just go to his house and slash 2 of his tires. Nobody has 2 spares. I don't understand what they are waiting for with him!! With have probably 3 guys in AAA who would be better
  17. The rain is the best asset we have in the bullpen!!
  18. Hopefully the game just ends and we don't have to use our bullpen.
  19. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Aug 4, 2014 -> 09:33 PM) Who? Ravelo
  20. QUOTE (Vance Law @ Aug 4, 2014 -> 09:56 PM) What was Tyler's first game A.G. (after glasses)? 1st game against Boston at Fenway? Whichever game Bradley made that awesome catch on Flowers hit
  21. Trying to stay away from the comedy club for as long as we can.. De Aza with a bruised knee.. Might get a look at Sierra the next 2 games
  22. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Aug 4, 2014 -> 09:49 PM) But doesn't this streak look a bit different than the early season one ? A lot more xtra base hits in this one. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 4, 2014 -> 09:50 PM) The difference is he's actually been much more than just a singles hitter. Dude had 10 XBHs before he put on the glasses...He's since had 11 in 18 games. He's really a different hitter right now. Very true.. There is some hope for optimism, I just don't want the front office to bank of this last few weeks and not try and get a better catcher
