  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 17, 2014 -> 08:31 PM) Nieto has the catching gear on and is getting loose. NO idea what is wrong with Flowers. Hope its a small injury that lands him on the 15 day DL and then after prompts his release
  2. Eaton is the man! Wish I could actually watch this game!
  3. Did Flowers swing at ball 4 on the 5th pitch? Well he ended up walking! Best case scenario with Flowers up
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 17, 2014 -> 08:13 PM) One to right center and another one to RF. I believe the one to right center was a line drive and didn't look like it was high enough or even far enough to be gone without the wind.. Maybe a double in the gap which would have done just fine... And I remember the one hit to right field not being hit really hard. Not like I jumped out of my seat thinking it was going to be gone or not like I did with Abreu's. I know the wind hurt some of the balls that were hit but I don't think Beckham would have hit a home run if there was no wind on Sunday
  5. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Jun 17, 2014 -> 08:09 PM) Dick Allen Post #46 Good for,Gordon. He had 2 homers taken away by the wind on Sunday. I was at the game and I don't in the 3 chances he had with runners on he had homers taken away from him by the wind.. Abreu did though. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 17, 2014 -> 08:09 PM) No one could hit in the clutch on Sunday. It was one of those days. Yeah, it was frustrating to watch along with Rienzo.. Hoping for a better game tomorrow (last game I can go to this year)
  6. Why couldn't Beckham do that on Sunday. He had 3 damn chances!
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 14, 2014 -> 11:57 PM) Amazing how the Royals' patience is paying off. Or their cheapness. Maybe they didn't want to pay Yost and his replacement, but suddenly KC looks like the class of this division. 10 wins in last 14 games with the bats waking up and the rotation looking very good. They are just on a hot streak right now. If they can do it for the majority of the year then maybe they turned it around.. But most teams could on a hot streak at some point in the year. I think I remember them doing it last year when Brett was named hitting coach but a few weeks later they went back to be the Royals
  8. Can't start Nieto two games in a row because actually putting the ball in play some how and getting on base a couple times a game is frowned upon in this line up.. Striking out is the only way to go..
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 15, 2014 -> 04:02 PM) This proves again hitting coaches don't matter. It's all up to the player. Flowers, Viciedo and Gillaspie were once doing amazing. Now they are awful. So let's face it. It's up to the player. Obviously. The hitting coach isn't swinging the bat..
  10. Beckham fails 3 times in a row with 2 guys on. Pathetic
  11. Lead off double and we get nothing. So frustrating
  12. At the ballpark and that sounded like it was completely crushed.
  13. Nobody on, 2 outs, 2 strikes on the hitter and he lets up 3 runs. Pathetic
  14. What are we 4.5 games out of first? Still some hope
  15. I can't believe we play this shifty right when I get to go to a couple games. Is there any chance we win tomorrow
  16. Here comes our horrible stretch of baseball. Flowers needs to quit playing so much.
  17. Bummer of a game. We need to win the next 2 but pitching match ups look horrible...
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 12, 2014 -> 10:23 PM) I hope so. If the Yankees win tonight, the Sox are still only 1.5 games out of the wc spot. There could be a whole lot of nothing at the trade deadline if a ton of teams hold out hope of playing .500 most of the season, and getting one 20-game stretch where you go 15-5. I think we can afford to trade a couple of players and still play well enough to stay in the race.
