  1. Abreu seems to always pound those low pitches in the ground
  2. QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 21, 2014 -> 07:02 PM) Victor Martinez is such a great hitter. I am not sure how he got his hands in on that pitch by Danks. Because he has seen Danks enough to know he likes to go inside and get in on your hands. Plus the pitch was only 89 mph.. He needs to deviate from what he usually does against these guys
  3. Danks just has too much going on at the plate. He needs to quit moving so damn much before the pitch comes
  4. I guess we are teaching our pitchers to not throw strikes?
  5. Boooooo. Hope it is nothing more then just soreness from throwing so much because of the dumb bullpen and Robin's misuse of said bullpen
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 10:59 PM) Semien seems to be a better hitter than his .200 average would indicate. Maybe I'm just hoping that's the case but he's a likeable second sacker. I wonder why I like Semien and despise the thought of Beckham returning? Excuse you, .222 average.
  7. If he can learn to lay off the off-speed stuff out of the zone he will be fine. When the count is 0-0, 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-1 he is expecting a fastball and swings no matter what the pitch. Needs to learn to hit his pitch and not the pitchers' pitch. He seems like a determined guy so I am sure he will figure it out as the season goes along. I also think his parents not being in the US yet and Avi's injury has been messing with him
  8. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 10:30 PM) Next in Line Tommy Hanson, the former Braves and Angels pitcher starting pitcher, made his Charlotte debut. After 3 solid innings (3IP, 0R, 2BB, K) a rough fourth inning made for a less than encouraging start (4IP, 4ER, 4H, 3BB, K, HR). Hanson's progress will continue to be noted as he figures to be one of the next starters in line if an extra arm were to be needed for Chicago. Guess the main thing is see how Hanson progresses start to start. His first start back is bound to have some problems. It will be interesting to see where he is at in the middle of May
  9. QUOTE (Feeky Magee @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 09:57 PM) Just looking at his advanced fielding stats, they have him killing it at SS and 3B, but pretty damn bad at 2B. Any theories on this or is it solely sample size? You and your damn advanced stats lol
  10. What a s***ty game by everyone on the Bulls.. Thibs needs to make adjustments when guys aren't playing well. You can't keep the same guys on the floor every game to an exact minute
  11. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 04:52 PM) Was not directed at you but to the sheep that RV is a good bullpen manager. Who could possibly think that
  12. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 04:48 PM) Walk he will fit right in. That curveball he threw should have been a strike earlier in the count.. Also I don't think he is use to coming out of the bullpen
  13. They need to start playing shallow on Flowers
  14. Alexei swinging at the first pitch yet again.
  15. QUOTE (Bigsoxhurt35 @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 04:12 PM) Erik only had 87 pitches lol Bad throw Alexei Robin has been horrible with the bullpen and pitching changes this year. It doesn't make sense to take out your starter when you are up by 6 and he has only let up 1 hit, 87 pitches, and just came off his best outing. And our bullpen has been awful this year, they might be rested but that doesn't mean you cut your starter short.
  16. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 20, 2014 -> 04:11 PM) Why did we take Johnson out Because Robin thinks our bullpen is lights out.
  17. I think Johnson could have at least started this inning when we are up by 6 and he just had a 1-2-3 inning.. I don't understand what Robin is doing
