  1. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 12:44 PM) Gordon and Wong are not necessarily competing for the same spot If that is what happen, guys like Micah Johnson, Semien, and Sanchez will have nowhere to play. Although Semien has been playing 3B lately
  2. With the way some of our middle infielders have played in the minors I would rather get Adams instead of Wong.
  3. What new shows are you guys going to check out in the fall?? Thinking I might try some of the new comedies on CBS and also Hostage
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 09:29 PM) Semien 1-1 HR, 4 walks 4 walks in one game?? That is nuts. That would be much needed on the big league team
  5. His last 10 games: .472, 3 HR, 8 RBI, 10 BB, 2 K, 1 SB, .587 OBP, .917 SLG
  6. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 08:58 PM) Semien 3-3, .285 Seems like his AVG should be higher with all the hits he has been getting.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 09:28 PM) Hey at least that's only a 40 percent k rate! Obviously Rienzo has been ridiculous as of late but I'm curious if there was a reason he got off to such a bad start this season? Damn World Baseball Classic!!!!
  8. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 11:30 PM) Caught up on Ray Donovan. Like someone else said, it's a decent show, but it still has yet to give me a reason to care each week. It's just guys doing things. Yeah, not seeing a story line you usually see. I don't get it. They keep doing random things and not really explaining why its happening
  9. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 11:08 PM) Walk off homer in extras for Keenyn Walker. Who?
  10. QUOTE (daggins @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 09:57 PM) Semien is Dat Dude right now. If Alexei does get moved you think we see him or Tyler Greene? F Greene, give a young guy a chance for the rest of the season, maybe they will run away with it.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 09:54 PM) 3-4, 2 doubles and a triple for Semien They should bring him up and send Tolleson to the bench. Sanchez and Semien at second and third
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 08:48 PM) He has 30 home run power, but seems to really struggle making contact I think he gets a lot of hype for the stretch he went through last year.
  13. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 08:46 PM) He plays good defense and hits for good avg and power iirc? Or was he all red sox hype? Hype. He went back down to AAA earlier this year an is batting .263 with 7 home runs an 28 RBIs in 118 ABs
  14. QUOTE (mike65 @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 03:19 PM) Well, I have given Peavy a lot of thought but Crain has not been part of my thinking. This will be a little long but stick with me. I value what Beltran could mean as a mentor to Oscar Taveras next year so if the Cardinals keep Beltran then there is no room for Adams going forward. So, I am not in the camp that would not want to deny Adams a career as a starting 1B. I also think that Craig is a better 1B than an OFer so I orefer him to Adams going forward. It would be awfully hard to cash in on Adams but because the team is built again to win this year. If you are built to win, you should go for it. Assuming that the White Sox share some of Peavy's salary, I would be willing to build a deal around Adams. I am thinking out loud here but, maybe, this for Peavy and Crain: Matt Adams Anthony Garcia Mark Rzepczynski Fernando Salas Low level pospect If we are doing Ramirez as part of it, I add Kozma The reason Salas and "Scrabble" , as Cardinal fans call him, are included is that I don't believe the White Sox are in 100%rebuild mode and getting two veteran but low cost relievers would be helpful going forward. Of course, you could design multiple trade scenarios and this is just one of an infinite number of them. Please feel free to fire away. We add Ramirez and all the Cards would add is Kozma?? Ehh.
  15. I'm sorry but I don't want David Freese. Never really liked him. He is so hyped because of what he did in the playoffs but he hasn't done much since. I would rather keep Gillaspie and see if he can improve into next year. Would rather try to get a different player. And he is already 30 with injury problems
  16. Micah Johnson was 4-6 tonight, batting .337. He is showing he was no fluke in low A. Really hope he keeps this up as he moves to AA and eventually AAA
  17. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 11:21 PM) Um. Really hope this isn't accurate. Martinez would be incredible for Alexei. Hell, Sickels has him as 9th best prospect in baseball on his newly released top 75. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,3745533.story I don't believe that one bit. If so then Hahn is an idiot. Top of the rotation pitcher that could be ready next year. Him and Sale at the top of the rotation would be awesome.
  18. What do you think we would get from the Red Sox for just Peavy?
  19. I want Bogarts or Bradley so give them Peavy and Crain or Reed for who whatever
  20. Hasn't Webster been bad for the Red Sox this year?? We need some hitters
  21. Apparently the A's made a late push for Garza. Maybe they would be interested in Peavy. Any interesting prospects they have?
  22. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 22, 2013 -> 09:47 PM) If Beckham goes to DL, we should call up Carlos Sanchez just for s***s and giggles. Who knows, maybe he catches fire. It wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe he hits lol
