Nor was Keuchel. Not sure if I saw Leury or Collins either.
-
What is the rumor? All I am saying is check the social media from the Sox this week. All the major bats (TA, Yoan, Robert, Grandal, Sheets, Vaughn, Cesar, Eloy, Engel, etc.) are featured except Abreu. Even Hamilton and Goodwin were shown. I can't recall if I saw Collins or Leury. Also haven't heard anything about those two.
-
I am not going to spread rumors but the team posted about 20 different players boarding the plane/on the tarmac on Twitter between the several pictures and a video. No Abreu. Also, no Keuchel. The social media team posted the team at the Sox park doing BP on social media earlier this week. Again, as you'll see, no Abreu. I will say I haven't heard that Keuchel isn't traveling with the team. Haven't heard that he is. Haven't heard anything on Keuchel actually.

Even so, parking around Shinnicks has been insane the last couple months. With the playoff game, who knows. I don't know if police/parking enforcement will be out but it may be impossible to get a spot 2-3 blocks from the bar.

Clearly the Rangers are responsible for COVID cases...declining for 3.5 months after their home opener... Keep talking to yourself and knocking down the arguments you make for others.
-
Thanks for making these opinions for me. Keep trusting tiny studies that support your viewpoint over the the greater data sets though.

The science has always said that COVID doesn't spread outside. However, there were political motives to stop outside gatherings last year though (Trump could fill stadiums in the South, Biden couldn't fill bus stop in his hometown). In this thread in March people were lecturing me about how I was crazy for saying saying baseball should do 20% capacity. Check the data in a few weeks, if it was not alarming, raise capacity. Check the data again in a few weeks, raise the capacity again until full. That's exactly what happened in the end. You'll notice that the MLB, NFL, NCAA, etc. have never caused a breakout.

I can respect the transparency about the lack of leadership. You, perhaps more than anyone, have seen the lack of accountability and steered right into the personal attacks, bullying and ganging up so it's not like anyone has to pretend there is some sort of standard for mods/admins. It went from "the board polices itself" to gestapo rule pretty quickly. All it took was Jason having a fulfilling and demanding personal life, a Trump presidency and a virus from China.
-
It's the bigotry that's commonly accepted and encouraged here and around the country unfortunately. People see young people enjoying their life and the natural reaction is to place a political motive to them and to call them names.
-
I believe you. I trust everything now.

Mods trolling. Par for the course around here.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you. If you (that's Texsox, not anyone else), disagree with something I said please say what and why. I can support my statements. I know it may not align with how you want to view things but that doesn't mean it isn't true.

Do you really need this explained? The polio vaccine effectively rid the world of the virus when mass distribution occurred. Polio was a virus that affected the youth and the healthy. When mass distribution of the COVID vaccine occurred, we see some countries seeing their highest case rates of COVID since the start of all this. COVID is a virus that very rarely affects the youth, the healthy, etc. Even when a country surpasses 50%, 2/3 or 75% vaccination rate, cases are skyrocketing to all time highs. This is true with different countries, in different regions, in different climates and with different vaccines (ex. UK, Israel, Malaysia). Look back in this thread when Israel's rollout was happening. I am sure there are posts from StrangeSox and others pointing to Israel as the blueprint for vaccine rollout. Then when the same country's cases skyrocket to all time highs the same people aren't as interested in the vaccine-related developments in Israel or other countries with vaccination rates and high cases rates. They just move the goalposts All vaccines are not created equally. Weak vaccines create mutations of viruses. There was never a delta variant of the polio virus because Salk's polio virus was one of the most incredible scientific creations of all time and effectively eradicated the virus from the earth.

Luis Robert, closing in on one full season statistically
raBBit replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Doubt it but I will be watching his odds when they come out in March. I have never been awed be a Sox player like the way I am awed by Robert. Was in attendance last night. He's just brilliant. -
Gotta trust your judgement there

From what's posted around here only the unvaccinated go to the hospital right?
-
You have to be a child to think like this. If you are concerned with COVID, you get the vaccine. You are protected. That's what I did. That's what 80% of the people I know did. Whatever anyone else does is none of anyone else's business. Protect yourself or face the risks. No one is killing anyone. Anyone saying otherwise is peddling propaganda. Even biased journalists who hate Trump can admit that he has supported the vaccine. I don't know why so many people are obsessed with Trump still. https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2021-03-17/trump-tells-followers-to-get-vaccinated-against-coronavirus https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-covid-vaccine-mask-mandate-b1912969.html https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021/08/donald-trump-vaccines-booed

I had that wrong. The change was they don't lose their highest pick. It's far more convoluted now with different treatment for teams for where they stand in revenue sharing. There is also potential loss of international spending money.
-
Sox have been selling tickets for weeks already to season ticket holders and those who want to sign up for season tickets next year.
-
Teams that sign a player that received a QO offer don't lose a draft pick. The team that offered a rejected QO receive an extra pick but it is not taken from another team.
