  1. What happened to Rodon today?
  2. Also, why are you questioning him for taking what his doctor prescribed? You're not a doctor of medicine or a medical professional, who are you to question them?
  3. So it seems like you're saying he had multiple choices and you don't like the one he chose? Should only people who get the vaccine have access to remedies? If the vaccine is limiting the severity of the virus like the data we're given shows, wouldn't the people who aren't vaccinated be the ones more likely to need treatments?
  4. That's not what I said you can just refer to what I said no need to twist things.
  5. My lady and I both had strep in July and Covid in October. Experiences ranked from best to worst: 1 - Me, Strep 2 - Her, Covid 3 - Me, Covid 4 - Her, Strep This stuff affects people differently. For young healthy people, COVID isn't always a worse experience than the flu or strep or anything else. Strep could've been worse for me too. I started coming down with the symptoms while waiting with her at intensive care so I got antibiotics really early on.
  6. He said "don't worry about it" not that he doesn't believe in it. "Don't worry about it" doesn't mean ignore it and spread it. They guy is a workout freak who is insanely wealthy. He wanted to feel shitty for less time. I don't know what's hard to understand about it. I got strep in July. I never worried about it before I got it. After recovering from it I still don't worry about it. I still got antibiotics and stayed home until I wasn't contagious anymore.
  7. Where do you believe the FDA's funding is coming from?
  8. Rogan took monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, a Z pack, prednisone and a vitamin drip. None of those treatments are experimental. Putting the vitamin drip aside, all of those drugs are FDA approved. In fact, exclusive of the monoclonal antibodies, all of these treatments are generic so they've been on the market and have had FDA patents for over 20 years. The drugs are covered by the media as experimental when they are anything but because the pharmaceutical companies have every incentive to create a new drug/treatment for covid that can generate profits. Additionally, so many people say "you're not a doctor, trust the professionals" when someone doesn't want the vaccine, wouldn't the same be true when evaluating Rogan's doctor's approach? My dad got pneumonia in the summer and when he was awaiting his covid results (he was negative) his doctor said if the test came back positive they would quickly shift to a cocktail of treatments just like Rogan's doctor prescribed.
  9. Yeah, it's a 40 man thing I think. Although not sure Wright deserves a spot over Crick but Wright is of course a bit more stretched out.
  10. I was speaking to the White Sox 40 man roster. I figured you were too when you said "they" and that we're in PHT and no one else mentioned a release and pick up by another team. So you are wrong. I wasn't speaking to a hypothetical where the Sox released and some other team had the opportunity to add him to the MLB roster and then transfer to the 60 day. But yes, if the Sox released him, someone else can add him to the MLB roster and then 60 day IL him. That's irrelevant to the situation at this point. Without a release, the Sox cannot add him (despite what you thought). Move goal posts as you wish but I just wouldn't want Sox fans to be misinformed of the active roster/40 man options because of your posts.
  11. There wasn't a catcher on the 40 man eligible for a call up. They only needed 1 with Gonzalez being the only player added to the active roster that needs a 40 man spot. He was injured in the minor leagues he can't be added to the MLB 60 day to free a roster spot.
  12. Might as well have kept the depth and given Sheets a chance to play everyday in Charlotte. I am fine with how they handled it. Also, Stiever is out for the season.
  13. I think Cease is a better pitcher, but the comparison to 2005 to me is Jon Garland. Obviously different times and a different game, but he was a struggling pitcher prior to 2005 and came out with 18 wins in '05 to give the team an edge at the #4 pitcher spot.
  14. Colllins will not be able to be called up until after Wednesday like you said but I don't think your interpretation of the postseason elgibility is correct. See my link below. Either way, I don't look at Collins and however the Sox use him to be an issue in 2021. https://www.mlb.com/glossary/transactions/postseason-roster-rules-eligibility
  15. If he were charged with a crime and put in jail he wouldn't be on administrative leave anymore and would get a suspension that would stop the money coming in.
  16. That's Ricketts' fault Baez didn't resign for some deal he would've never lived up to. He's not sniffing 80 million this offseason. He's lucky Crawford re-signed in SF so now he's the fourth best free agent position.
  17. Engel, Hamilton, Collins and Marshall are added. Wright & Lamb DFA'd and then 2 additional spots. That would be it right? Marshall needs a 40 man spot because he was transferred to the 60 day IL. Honestly, with Robert and Engel, Billy doesn't make all that much sense on the roster and I'd almost rather carry Sheets or Lamb.
  18. I wouldn't expect my post that had nothing to do with anything related to those countries to explain something going on in those countries.
  19. When the Sox acquired Kimbrel, he led all relievers in MLB in WAR, ERA, FIP and K/9. I don't know how you would quantify the best reliever in 2021, but I don't know there is an argument for anyone outperforming him to that point. So this example is patently false and you seem to be grasping at straws.
  20. 1 - I didn't say this you did. I believe in Madrigal as a hitter and think he will be an annual ~3 WAR guy. It is possible he continues to get injured over-and-over again and never amounts to much. If the Sox get bounced in the ALDS the next two years, they lose the trade unless Madrigal is an abject failure. Kimbrel is a premium reliever and a guy who has the ability to make a significant impact in October. Especially when he's adjacent to Hendriks, Kopech, Bummer, etc. The Sox took a significant risk on Kimbrel. They took the type of risk you take when you have a World Series caliber roster. You have to be okay with losing the trade when you make that trade. We are better off in October 2021 & 2022 with Kimbrel than we are with Madrigal and Heuer. 2 - I can't believe the arguments you made up for me don't make any sense. I am shocked. You can respond to what my post said you don't have to set up strawmen to make your point. 3 - No one said that Kimbrel alone controls whether the Sox win in October. We are certainly better off winning in October with him than with Madrigal and Heuer. I think even you would admit that. 4 - So 9 innings in August = 9 innings in October? You're taking exception to me saying October results are more important than August when the team has had a double digit game division lead? I don't even need to respond to that you've basically talked yourself into a ridiculous position. In general, I don't take exception to people saying Kimbrel for Madrigal/Heuer wasn't our best route in July. I find the deal very difficult to stomach myself. We are certainly mortgaging the future a bit to bolster our chances in 2021/2022. I probably value Madrigal more than the Sox did but that's what aggressive teams who value every shot at winning do. Unfortunately, the odds are we do lose this trade but our odds of winning a World Series in 2021/2022 go up significantly after adding a guy who has been the best reliever in baseball this year and a likely HoF pitcher. I do take exception to someone freaking out over a small sample because they are more concerned with saying "I told you so" and being right than having a sound, grounded opinion.
  21. The US is 30-40% more obese than Israel and UK so that's not surprising.
  22. 9 innings is insignificant from a statistical standpoint. Just because the Sox acquired a high profile reliever doesn't mean we need to throw out what we know about statistics and sample sizes. The Sox acquired Kimbrel for October. The Kimbrel trade and whether it was worth it will be determined by the team's and his performance in October. I am not making excuses for him but I watch the games and have seen how easily things could've gone differently. Given just about everything went his way with the Cubs this year, he was due for some regression 2021 BABIP w/ Cubs - .203 2021 BABIP w/ Sox - .350 Career BABIP - .261 In his 9 innings with the Sox, he has the highest BABIP he's ever had. He has the lowest strand rate he's ever had. His HR/FB% is 2x his career norm. All that tells me is if Grandal comes back and gives Kimbrel an MLB quality catcher and he continues to strike out 4.7 guys for every BB (as he has in his 9 innings here, including the intentional walk) he'll be fine.
  23. Wonder if another wave is coming. The most vaccinated country in the world has more cases per million than the US has ever had at any point. Was hoping they were using the AstraZeneca or something not used in the US but no, they are using Pfizer. That is not good. All complaints go to Johns Hopkins and their data.
