People forget how crucial Eaton was in April. If not for him and Mercedes in April who knows where this team is. No one could get the hit other than those two.

Cruz would be the best bet available even if he has limited suitors. Berrios would get a ton. I would rather they not restock the farm. Pineda would get them somthing. Rogers would be of interest to plenty.

If the lose 10 in a row and are firmly sellers, they will look to trade the following: Expiring contracts: Nelson Cruz, Andrelton Simmons, Michael Pineda, JA Happ, Colome (last two suck I know) Other vets: Josh Donaldson, Sano, Berrios, Taylor Rogers

If the Sox swept them? Yes I do. I'll take my chances. I'd rather they let their assets expire worthless and try to over come a 14.5 game lead on July 1.

Marshall was taken out of the game right before 10 PM. The Sox tweeted he was day-to-day at 10:27. So at that point he didn't have an MRI yet. The Sox announcement really means nothing until imaging is done and a couple of doctors' opinions are given.

I witnessed a kid tear his UCL (ulnar collateral ligament - significant tear = Tommy John surgery) when I was in high school. I was playing 3B and in on the grass for a potential bunt. You could audibly hear the snap. I saw the pitcher's grimace and walked up to him. When I reached the mound he was doing the exact thing Marshall was doing last night. Trying to stretch out his hand on his other forearm.

Sox have the upper hand. Just bury the Twins. Hopefully Sox sweep them and then the Twins win 10 straight and fall apart right the deadline where they decided to go for it.

Burr is a great dude and it's awesome to see him having success. That said, his BABIP is .037. That is about as low as I have ever seen. He's had a lot of luck so far but when you throw strikes and put the pressure on the hitter good things happen.

Re: this tweet. Eloy was on someone's IG story. He said (in Spanish) he will start with an affiliate Saturday or Monday. He doesn't know which affiliate yet. If he's correct, that would mean Arizona is a possibility for him to start as they are the only affiliate that plays on Mondays.

Sheets up, Hamilton back, Lamb to IL, Gonzalez down

In the 3 games since this post, Burger has elevated his splits against righties: vs. RHP: .296/.344/.478/.822 vs. LHP: .365/.411/.846/.1.257

So you're making my point that the Sox have lost more. Also, the Mets had DeGrom, Conforto, McNeil, Alonso, Walker & Pillar on the DL. They have all returned recently. Nimmo is rehabbing. Sox will be without Madrigal the rest of the year. Robert and Eloy more weeks. It's all about the quality of players lost. The Sox losing three cost controlled starts who would have combined for 10-20 WAR if all healthy isn't negated by the fact that they're not expensive right now.

This doesn't align with other things you have said. https://www.phe.gov/emergency/events/COVID19/COVIDvaccinators/Pages/PREP-Act-Immunity-from-Liability-for-COVID-19-Vaccinators.aspx COVID-19 vaccine creators immunity is a direct result of the PREP act. People's limited recourse below. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/16/covid-vaccine-side-effects-compensation-lawsuit.html The little-known government program has been around for a decade, and it is managed by an agency under HHS. This fund typically only deals with vaccines you probably would never get, like the H1N1 and anthrax vaccines. If a case for compensation through the CICP is successful, the program provides up to $50,000 per year in unreimbursed lost wages and out-of-pocket medical expenses. It won’t cover legal fees or anything to compensate for pain and suffering. It is also capped at the death benefit of $370,376, which is the most a surviving family member receives in the event that a Covid vaccine proves to be fatal. But experts specializing in vaccine law say it is difficult to navigate. “This government compensation program is very hard to use,” said Reiss. “The bar for compensation is very high.” Also worrisome to some vaccine injury lawyers is the fact that the CICP has rejected a majority of the compensation requests made since the program began 10 years ago. Of the 499 claims filed, the CICP has compensated only 29 claims, totaling more than $6 million. --- The pharmaceutical companies have to be thrilled how many Americans are so willing to shill for them. Regular people Americans want the government covering for the Pharmaceutical giants. I guess that's why they pay the big cash for all those ads in the corporate media.

You say they had 5 starters on the IL. Yet, they only have 4. Chirinos tore his UCL last year so they knew that they were getting nothing from him all year. He may as well not exist in 2021 and doesn't factor into the in season argument debate. Fleming is totally procedural and a product of the schedule/rest and not an actual concern. This is him skipping a start against a divisional foe in a period of multiple off days after a season he only threw ~50 innings. Archer is coming off of multiple surgeries. He has been hurt since August of 2019 away from 1 start / 2 games earlier this year. I am sure last year you were defending the Sox because Rodon wasn't able to contribute. Glasnow is a product of side effects of cheating. They have been missing him for a few weeks. Hardly 75%+ of the season like Eloy/Robert. So the Rays have lost Glasnow (probably 3 starts) and a guy who has appeared in 2 games since mid-August 2019. Sox have lost their best hitter and a reigning Silver Slugger, their best defender who was on a 6 WAR pace, their starting second baseman who was coming into his own and has a lifetime .315 batting average, their 8M right fielder who was one of their better players prior to the injuries, their fourth outfielder who is premium defender and seemingly finding his power stroke, their outfield replacement for the aforementioned injuries and their most effective reliever who may be the best pitcher in the organization. On top of that, Rodon and Lynn have both missed multiple starts, Grandal played April hobbled after basically no spring training, two relievers that would have made the roster haven't pitched all year, etc. The Sox have had far more injuries than the Rays whether you have been paying attention enough to understand it or not.

That whole Rosenthal article is likely put out from Texas sources. Trying to create a narrative that they couldn't get an optimal return for their asset because of things that were out of their hands. It's a product of them failing to make good on their assets over the last few years. They had asks of the Sox in August and the deal that was ultimately agreed on was far lesser.
-
His whole post was the Sox had a deal with the Rangers. He was wrong. Lynn's threats are just that, threats. He said it himself. He had no control over the situation in general. The specific situation Jack Parkman spoke to never occurred. Please quote the people calling Jack a liar or clueless. Whether he made up a story or not is arguable, but the story he told never actually happened. More succinctly put.
-
That is not a de facto trade clause. All it did was give other teams hesitancy to acquire him. Lynn could have very easily Andrew Cashner did the same thing. Baltimore called his bluff. He was traded. He reported. Lynn said it best just prior the last year's deadline: “You have zero control over it unless you have a no-trade clause,” Lynn said You said the Sox had a deal with Texas but Lynn nixed it. That did not happen.
-
You kind of did pull this out of your ass. Or dreamed it. Either way it never happened and the facts and circumstances don't even allow for such a scenario to happen. https://www.star-telegram.com/sports/mlb/texas-rangers/article245169165.html Here's Lynn from last August: “You have zero control over it unless you have a no-trade clause,” Lynn said. “Can’t worry about it. You have to do what you can each day for the team you are on and the guys around you to get ready to perform on the field. If you do that, everything else is going to happen whether you like it or not."
